Few people know better than Delta Force soldiers that life is unbearably short and achingly precious. So Cormac Fletcher isn t waiting one more day to marry the love of his life, Emily. Fletch has already adopted her daughter, Annie. Now it s time to officially make Emily his too. Emily understands just about every woman experiences a few wedding snafus but they re usually not of the harrowing, life-or-death variety. Fortunately for her, a guest list full of Delta soldiers and SEALs will make this an event to remember for both Emily and the uninvited guests trying to ruin her special day."
New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author, Susan Stoker has a heart as big as the state of Tennessee where she lives, but this all American girl has also spent the last fourteen years living in Missouri, California, Colorado, Indiana, and Tennessee. She's married to a retired Army man who now gets to follow her around the country.
This book was awesome. I loved how everyone from previous series all came together and melded as one. My favorite character of it all is little Annie and her combat boots and little green army men. I laughed, I cried and I cursed at the bad guys and laughed some more. This is a total must read!!
ALL THE FEELS!!! I think Akilah is my hero. That girl is amazing. Annie is adorable as always, and I loved getting a peek at all my favorite men. Swoon!!
If you're a Susan Stoker fan and you've kept up with her series, then this is a must read. You met Emily and her rambunctious daughter Annie in "Rescuing Emily". This is Fletch and Emily's wedding and we get to see all of the guys from not only the Delta Force team but also the Seal Team.
It was emotional and sweet but also had a dash of action. It also had a bit of steam, which I loved. We got to see the set up for a couple future stories as well. My complaint, as with most of her books, is the lack of epilogue. I just need more about their future.
Marrying Emily is not at all just a usual wedding story. Fletch and Emily get their big day along with all their Delta and military friends and family. There are quite a few surprises and little Soldier Annie completely steals the show again. LOVED this! -5 Stars!-
What a wonderful short read. We get all the Delta men, Seals, our Army Princess as well as all the women we've come to adore. Especially our little Annie plus some extras to make this a quick awesome read. This is Emily and Fletcher' s wedding and all the bells and whistles are thrown into this novella to make it brilliant. Annie of course in her cute adorable 6 y.o self steals the show. We get to finally met Tex and his family as well as a new character Fish and Moose (these men and their crazy nicknames). So much happens in such a short book, a wedding, a robbery, good guys kicking the bad guys ass and again, Annie being her cute, adorable, precocious smart self. If you have read all the other books don't skip this one because of the length or price, it's worth it! I almost did and I would have kicked my own ass if I had missed out on this gem! You'll smile, laugh, cry and be tense until everything turns out like it should. I can't wait for Hollywood's story and forgive the violence, but I hope Jack's gets what is coming to him in this book finally!!! Read these books they are awesome!
It was cool to see Fish, maybe put him in the new security series? I hope this isn't the end of him. Always love to see returning side characters or ones spoken of. Oh Annie and scars! She's just too much! Later note: Can't wait for Fish's story!
Marrying Emily is part of Susan Stoker’s Delta Force Heroes series. If you remember, Fletch met Emily when she rented out the apartment over his garage. She was already having a hard time making ends meet and raising daughter Annie. A disgruntled soldier was shaking Emily down for money and making her believe it was at Fletch’s doing. Luckily, Emily wasn’t 100% fooled and Fletch has smart little Annie on the case as well.
Now, Fletch has adopted Annie and he’s about to make Emily his as well. But it wouldn’t be a Delta wedding without some drama at the reception. And you’ll all just have to see how that plays out. It does involve a mighty fine performance.
Despite this being a novella, it was full of the action and romance that Susan Stoker is known for, so you won’t feel cheated here. It’s full of humor, love, and suspense, and if you pay close attention, you might catch a whiff of a new series to come. (And I don’t mean the new Ace Security debuting in March)
Of course, aside from the Delta Force guys, we have heroes from our Badge of Honor series and the Seal of Protection series, including my favorite, Dude. (If you have to ask why he’s my favorite, you haven’t been paying attention. Just sayin.) I can only hope there are more...ahem...commanding guys like Dude in future books.
Cormac Fletcher member of the Delta Force refuses to wait one more day t marry the love of his life Emily and finally make her his wife and with Annie a Family he did not know he wanted isn't waiting one more day to marry the love of his life, Emily. Fletch had already adopted Annie whom he loved so very much. Emily who before Fletch was alone unloved and scared for her daughter and herself , found heaven in Fletch's arms Emily understands also know things wont be easy in their lives but she is more then willing to go ahead, and marry the man of her dreams. The wedding goes of well and the party is going quite well until some idiots decide they are going to interrupt this lovely part. I loved the book that tells their story, and adored this book as they move on with their lives, seeing old characters we a plus and meeting new ones was a bonus to make this a grand story and now I can't wait to read about the next person in the series.
And the adorable Soldier Annie is back to steal the show again....lol such an awesome kid.
I have to say I am still wondering how armed robbers did what they did with a reception full of military, police and firemen I mean seriously guy's get it together....lol just because you find your true love doesn't mean you drop the ball on security but hey I guess it shows these guys really are human....lol
The wedding was beautifully written it felt like you were right there with them sharing the day and I loved getting a peak at everyone who reunited for the big day it was awesome and even though Annie get's the gold medal for best performance in a story Akila is right up there with her.
Just a fantastic read and yes it makes me want to read more and more by Susan Stoker.
I’ll admit that I wanted to read this book because of Annie. That little girl steals your heart anytime she’s on the page. Annie just as sweet and precocious as we knew she’d be along with a whole lot of sassy and rebel. Of course Emily and Fletch finally get their big day and everyone is there to celebrate. All of them The Delta guys, Badge of Honer guys and Seal of Protection guys all in one book ...oh my ....which of course made this a dynamite read!! Let me just say that little bomb Susan Dropped on us....ugghhhh...this is a must read
For a short story there was a lot that was packed into this one. I loved that all of the previous characters from this series and the others ones were there. It was nice to see them all happy and giving support where needed to others of their group.
The wedding was sweet, so many good moments, Annie with her sprinkling, the vows the highlights. The reception was fun in so many ways. Everyone got to party, but they also got to show off their skills. I loved the role that Annie played, no fear in that girl at all!
Cosa vogliono fare? Ma state scherzando? Mi ha molto incuriosita Fish ma prima passiamo da Hollywood che si è dato agli incontri online. Sarà vittima di un catfish? Io chiamerei Nev e Max nel caso.
This was a cute short read. I enjoyed the wedding part and Annie as always is cute and so smart. A lot of the people from her other series show up in this, and it is almost like a character reunion/ where are they now of sorts. Still enjoyable even though I've not read other series from her, though now I want to even more.
The main drama is interesting, but I enjoyed how it was resolved and Annie's part in it.
The story of Emily and Fletch’s wedding and reception. Gripping at times, yet formulaic and the characters are caricatures. But still an enjoyable read. 4/5
Marrying Emily: Delta Forces Heroes Book 4 is by Susan Stoker. This book concerns Emily, Fletch, and Annie along with the other Delta Force men and their women friends. Emily could not believe it, she was finally marrying Fletch. She knew Annie was walking down the aisle as flower girl dropping rose petals and army men. Annie was dressed in her flower girl dress and combat boots. Emily knew Fletch was waiting for her at the end of the aisle. Fletch had finally given up on trying to see her in her dress, he had tried half-heartedly as he knew Annie expected it and enjoyed thwarting him. They were not going on a honeymoon yet and were having a party at their house after the ceremony. They wanted all their friends to be around them and didn’t want to have to leave the party early. She knew Fletch and his friends would always protect them. She was ready to be married to Fletch. Fletch was waiting impatiently for the ceremony to get started. He had waited long enough. His teammates were standing up for him and were ready as well. He stood watching Annie come down the aisle and smiled. She was so precocious, he was proud to have adopted her already. She jumped in his arms when she got close enough. Adopting her the best thing he had done so far. His teammates were standing up for him and were ready as well. Fletch stood watching Emily come down the aisle. She was the loveliest thing he had seen. When she tripped, he went down the aisle to meet her and walk her back up. They were finally married. Now for the reception. As family and friends gathered at their informal reception to have a good time, Emily was thrilled. The party was a success and was going well when a group of men barged in to interrupt the party and to steal from them. The Delta Force had their hands tied as they were not carrying and their women were being singled out. They needed to get the upper hand on the guys holding the weapons. What was their beef and what was the time? Life with a Delta Force member was not going to be dull.
Fletch and Emily FINALLY get their day! Their wedding day, that is! Annie is such an amazing flower girl. The Seals (Wolf, Abe, Cookie, Dude, Mozart, Benny) showed up along with Tex and his family. Penelope (Tiger) showed up followed by Moose as her +1. The rest of the Deltas were there, along with Fish, who was recently rescued from a botched mission by the Deltas and has been taken under their wings. TJ showed up as well, since he was a Delta in his previous career. The wedding has it's cute moments, it's romantic moments, it's wonderful moments. The reception TOTALLY lives up to a Susan Stoker wedding! The drama was so intense, and when the climax came, all you could do was read read read until the smoke cleared and you were able to see who was still standing!
Susan Stoker did a SUPER GREAT JOB on this book. I know she has said in the past, she hates to do weddings, but she did such a wonderful job on this book!!! She has her Seal of Protection series, and her Badge of Honor series mixed with her Delta Force series to make a thrilling read!!!!
You cannot and will not go wrong with this read!!!!! Get... It... NOW!!!!
Sweet quick story filled with all sorts of feels. Loved this peek into Fletch, Emily and Anne's life and catching up with other treasured friends. Of course you know they gotta have some kind of excitement, and what better excitement could there be than watching Daddy Fletch and his special forces brethren do what they do best? Kick some....booty!!
Susan Stoker’s book 'Marrying Emily' – HEA Book – 5 Stars!
Emily is a strong yet vulnerable heroine who has raised her daughter Annie on her own for many years. We first meet them in Rescuing Emily, where our hero Fletch rents his garage apartment to them, falls in love, rescues them and adopts Annie as his daughter. Marrying Emily continues their story. Their daughter Annie will keep you laughing out loud, their marriage vows bring out the tears, and their friend’s interaction at the reception will leave you wanting more.
I love all of Susan’s characters and her portrayal of her men and women in uniform, law enforcement, and first responder's, show her feelings for what they do, bringing awareness to the challenges they face. Her love of writing is what keeps me coming back to read her books over and over again. I think you will love this book as much as I did. I’m looking forward to reading more from Susan in the coming years.
This is delta, it might be a wedding but do not expect completely smooth sailing. Annie is absolutely adorable, completely unique in every way possible. She doesn't care who you are, what history you have or insecurities once she makes her mind up if you are good or bad then that's it, she is all in one way or the other. A special day made that much more so by her being a part of it, it might be her mum and dad that are getting married but she still has to do things Annie's way. Yes she is cute, beautiful and in a dress but this isn't a girly girl so expect a few surprises. While on the whole most goes smoothly there are a few twists just enough to stop us getting complacent and settled into the gushy stuff. Fabulous read with just enough drama not to spoil the main event but still give us a bit of an edge, plus a few guest you don't expect but are definitely an added benefit that makes this extra special and definitely worth reading. A fantastic addition to this brilliant series.
Fletcher and Emily have been through a lot but finally their special day has arrived...they are getting married. The wedding brings the Delta team and the SEALs to celebrate the joining. Everything is going perfect...from the dress to the groomsmen to little Annie in her poufy dress and combat boots walking down the aisle sprinkling flower petals and army men. There is no way anything could possibly go wrong...until the Reception where some uninvited guests show up, intent upon robbing everyone. The thieves no idea what they're in for.
I loved this book!! Annie is so precious and the vows Fletch and Emily exchange....sigh! Beautiful. I admit to crying several times while reading this book. I recommend reading it and the whole series.
Wedding novellas always seem to create mini reunions-my favorite kind! While I liked seeing Wolf and his SEAL team, Annie is the show stealer! With her combat boots and Army guys parachuting out of the basket, she's simply too cute for words!
Family and friends gather for a happy day, a few baddies crash the party-they should have done their homework on whose reception they're crashing-and add some action and suspense and I was flying through this novella! Now I need to hunt down a few books I've skipped over in favor of Fletch's to catch up with everyone else!
I LOVE this book! Getting to visit again with Emily, Fletch, Annie and the rest of the guys was so much fun! Annie is a rockstar in this story! This is a quick read but not rushed. It has a little excitement and a lot of romance! Highly recommended read for all military romance lovers!!
Fletch and Emily's big day is everything you'd expect and more. All the Delta's and their women are they as well as Wolf Steel's team from the SEAL of Protection series and their wives. In addition Tex and Melody Keegan, Penelope Ward and several other are in attendance. Annie almost steals the whole show in her own disarming fashion.
A short novella. But this was like a fun class reunion of characters from multiple series. Gives some hints to upcoming stories and touches on some favorite characters from previous stories and where their lives are now.
A short and sweet read that give's you an insight into some of the best characters so far. It has humour, romance and is a wonderful read overall. Definitely one of my favourite books so far.
