Anibet: He offered me salvation with the touch of his hand… or so I thought. Salvation comes at a price – my body and my mind. He means to break my spirit while she desecrates my body.
The Preacher: She is perfect to take the place of our last pet. So ripe for the picking – needy – sad. She deserves this, they all do.
The Preacher's wife: He brought me home a new toy. Sullying her will be my pleasure. Breaking her – that is all him. He enjoys the challenge of seeing the fight leave their eyes.
How far would you go to survive when your captor is intent on bringing you to his own personal Hell? Would you fight or give in and be truly Forsaken?
**WARNING** This book is intended for mature audiences. If you have certain triggers, this is not the story for you.

If you like your books as dark as possible, sick, twisted and disturbing, you will love this story!
This is not your typical kidnapping story... FORSAKEN is the tale of a preacher and the wife he met while visiting patients in a mental hospital. Basically, they are unlike any preacher or housewife you’ve ever met! Both are disturbed, and we get to hear each of their twisted perspectives as well as that of the poor woman they abduct to keep as a pet. All three of the character’s accounts are told in graphic, brutal, explicit detail. You will be cringing and shuddering, but you also won’t want to put this book down! Warning: this is not a romance, it’s just a sick, twisted, extremely entertaining story!!!
Usually, I won’t give a book 5 stars if it’s poorly edited like this one was, but that’s how good the story is! Despite having sentencs partially written in present tense, partially written in past as well as missing words, punctuation errors, etc., the story was so hazing that it’s overshadowed everything else!!!
This book is not for anyone that has any sort of trigger issues. It is very detailed and very graphic. This book is about a married couple. The husband is a preacher the wife is something else. It is a fast read. Well worth it if you can stomach it.
Holy Hell!!!..Emery really shows her inner psycho in this fantastically twisted and horrifying book..Poor Anibet is stolen of the streets by the Preacher who's not quite the ticket and his wife who in her own words is "bat carp crazy" left in the basement poor Ani endures unbelievable pain and abuse..I really enjoyed this book and if your a fan of gruesome stories I recommend you read this..
Another tale by this author in which a poor, unassuming girl is kidnapped and tortured. This one has a lot more nuance with the preacher and his wife. It certainly made all the non-gore more interesting. I kinda liked the wife, she was pretty nuts. I honestly thought the preacher was crazier so go figure he was her minister when she was in the mental institution.
Note: I recieved a copy of this book in advance of publication.
If you're easily triggered and more importantly, don't like that, move along. Go find some nice, light Stephen King or something. This isn't for you.
The story follows three characters caught in a horrific melodrama in the basement of a house. There is this lovely pervasive tone to the story where you wonder how much worse can this get, how can anyone write this stuff, and why can't you stop reading it. Emery is a master at this sort of story, maintaining tension and horror in equal parts, with rich characters following their own competing motivations to a dizzying climax.
Who will crack first? Perhaps the unprepared reader.
Oh the horror, oh my, the gruesome, holy hell I loved it! Move over Best selling horror authors, here comes Emery and she’s bringing the devil as her guest! This book is not for the faint at heart and contains triggers but is very well written. I think I found a new favorite author.
This was a fanfuckingtastic book Amazingly brilliantly and awesomely written page turner Emery LeeAnn is truly a talented author i loved this book 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
This is a hard book to rate - this short book is dark and twisted and the author did accomplish what most want - a book that draws the reader in and holds their attention until the end. But, it did not leave me wanting to grab the next book if there is one. The flow is also off in the book- you find out some things as you read, while other things pop up and then the book just ends - leaving you with WTF did I just read and is that it?
The reviews on this book are all over the place and some aren't really fair. Anibet was not a hooker - she left an abusive home and lived on the streets. For sick and disgusting - this is no different then watching a Rambo movie, Mafia or Sons of Anarchy and witnessing the torture when they try to get the truth out of someone. As far as great and excellent- not true - no flow, ends abruptly and needed a storyline.
This book is about a preacher, his wife and their weird ways. Both had bad childhoods and live with demons. This short book introduces you to how they deal with their demons.
The preacher finds young girls that are homeless, need a dry place to live and food. He offers them what they need and then takes them back to his house so they can become his wife's toy.
The preacher finds Anibet one night cold and hungry. He says all the right things to gain her trust and offers her a place to stay and warm food. She accepts since he is a preacher - what's not to trust, boy was she wrong.
Bloody Hell!! And I truly mean bloody hell, Anibet is put through the most shocking and gruesomest of torture by a Preacher and his deranged wife no less. It’s a quick little story but the author leaves nothing out!!
This book is quite my introduction to the author. Emery LeeAnn writes the psychotic and bizarre with disturbing ease. Forsaken is frighteningly freakish, carnally erotic, torturously traumatic and strangely addictive. While this type of horror is not for everyone, I found it wonderfully warped and have scheduled to read her VooDoo Lily Series next!
Great Odin's Beard!!!!! WARNING if your easily frightened or Don't have a strong stomach easily offended I would seriously suggest you move along if you CAN HANDLE the seriously twisted this book is for you! I read this book and had to scrub my brain with a splintery stick... I loved this book by Emery Leann fast paced and really on the edge and I mean the edge of your seat. Like Mommy told you don't talk to strangers lock your doors and check over your shoulder. I could only give 5 stars so her is two thumbs up as well!
Y’all. I thought I have read some crazy sh*t but this book is pretty high up there on the list. I don’t typically put “check trigger warnings” because everything I read would most likely consider me a therapists wet dream..but check trigger warnings. All you need to know is there is a preacher, a preachers wife, a woman who thought she was getting help, and a whole lot of messed up stuff. If you read this don’t come at me. I warned y’all. 😂
A dark read. A quick read. I wish there was more to the beginning and the ending. The issue that came up with the doctor and the preachers wife seemed to come out if no where. The ending was lacking. I felt it ended abruptly. I wish it was less than what I paid for such a quick read.
Forsaken is a short read, and not meant for those with a weak stomach. That being said, I enjoyed my brief time with this story. Each chapter is broken down so that the story unfolds from the perspective of each of the three characters, which was a technique that I found to be very interesting. I will definitely be reading more from this author.
Well I knew this one was going to be a risk, but it was in KU and thought here goes nothing. Well this one is about as dark, twisted and deranged as you can get. Nothing erotic about this, just full blown, very graphic sexual abuse. Had to DNF.
Gave it three stars just because the writer was telling a story, just not one for me, so I won't bash it in any way, but I won't read it either.
Wow! Emery LeeAnn has warped my mind. A preacher, his wife, and a hooker looking for a hot shower and a warm bed have just twisted my mind. Do not trust anyone fully unless you are prepared to be Forsaken!
That sucked. Don't waste the time reading this stuff. If you are a glutton for punishment, go ahead but I would advise reading the first and last page. The End.
Wow. This is all sorts of brutal, disgusting depravity. Emery packed a plethora of gross and extreme things in a short span of time. It was an absolutely fantastic dive into the deep end of sick and twisted.
Wow, what an intense story. Such violence and darkness in a short time. All the scenes are intense and as usual with this author you get in the heads of the characters. You feel and see everything in your mind. Warning, Major triggers in this book.
This book was very unbelievable, and It didn't explain the characters very well. The end left me questioning what did I just read. Very disappointed with this book. I would not recommend it.. .in fact just skip it it's not worth your rime
It was dark, deep, disturbing, exactly what I thought it would be and enjoyed it but feel it was short. No closure. I hate that. Still a great dark psychological thriller.
This is the first novel I've read from Emery LeeAnn. I dont really know how I feel about it. It almost seems like she couldn't figure out how to end it and just killed everyone off with a major cliffhanger.
I will never read anything else by this author this book just sucked ass big time. No it's not because it's dark and twisted I love fckd up books with fckd up characters but this authors books make no sense at all
I read dark and horror all the time so I consider myself to be jaded. This book made me actually gag. It was so good. So dark. I need to check out more books by this author.
