Most people believe that the true key to becoming ultra-wealthy lies in some sort of "secret," a kind of well-kept secret that's extremely "hush-hush," and only realized by a small amount of the elite, or a privileged few. But, actually, this isn't the case at all. In fact, these super-rich individuals realize that their money needs to work for them and so they learn how to take what are known as "calculated" risks. The super-rich are definitely not psychics, nor do they have a "magic" secret that they hold close to their own kind. In fact, their real secret lies in the fact that they know what simple investing mistakes should be avoided. And, in truth, these mistakes are common knowledge, even among those investors who are not particularly wealthy at all.Investing properly is a guided, purposeful tool for building and adding to wealth, but it is not only for the rich. Actually, anyone can get started quite easily, and there are multiple avenues that make it easy to begin, with small amounts to start up a portfolio. Additionally, what differentiates using investment (as opposed to gambling) is that it takes a period of time for the "magic" to happen. Therefore, it is not a get-rich-quick scheme, at all. I want us to be clear on that point from the get-go.By the end of this book, you'll have a great understanding of what investing is, and you will know how the magic of compounding works too. We'll take a look at other options that you might find useful, so then you'll have the knowledge you need before you get started with your own investing. Again, thank you for joining me here; it's my pleasure to guide you through this important information. I believe that knowledge is power, and I hope that you'll feel more comfortable once you get the real gist of how it all works, and how it can work really well for you.
This book talks about US market. As I am a beginner, I am not sure whether the definitions and explanation provided here fits for Indian market or not. I was expecting to get some technical knowledge from this book but this does not cover the technical aspects in detail. The section which talks about common mistakes is really good. Author has done the research and pointed out real common mistakes which I think a beginner can make.
It's a short read with what i might call 'sneak previews' into what an individual needs to know about investment. This could be a start point for beginners, i feel for anyone needing to seriously become an investor then this book alone may not be sufficient. You may need to read more other books. Good information anyway @ James Moore.
Quick and sensible read that will assist beginning investors. Don’t hesitate, just get this book. You should be able to finish it in an hour or 2, take notes and begin setting up your investment plan (along with additional research and reading)
This is a fairly easy read, and it is packed with all the basics anyone would need for just getting started. I will be recommending this book to my friends and family soon. Great for anyone who hasn’t really been investing for 5 years.
It did not cover everything that I thought it would, but it answered some of my questions about investing. It was a good first book to read on the subject of investing.
I enjoyed reading this short book on investing. It was straight to the point and very beginner friendly - I will suggest that it is better to do your own research as it focuses primarily on the US markets and may be different from the UK or Europe.
Es un libro que e aprendido mucho sobre cómo es el manejo de dinero y sus funciones en otras compañías que como ganan y como es el modo de trabajo me gustaría aprender más de ello y como se puede adnistrarlo para un negocio
The title says it all. It is investing for beginners, and there is some solid advice found within its pages. If you are curious about investing, this is a great place to start before you spend a single dime.
