The 28th installment of the Klepto cat series, the story entirely the jewelry that Rags found in the last book. Detective Craig Sledge convinced Savannah to go on a trip with him to look the jewelry. The journey was an adventure and was productive. New characters were introduced. What did Rags find? Savannah and Rags take another trip to southern California. Why? Rags was again using his scent to help Savannah. What happened to the jewelry? I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book and series for a relaxing read. I am looking g forward the next book.

Savannah Ivey and her klepto kitty, Rags, are hip-deep in mystery and intrigue again as the mystery of the missing jewels ("Secrets, Trickery, and Meows") plays out back home in California! Rags, ever nosey, manages to find a body this time. With the help of Savannah and Detective Craig Sledge, Rags manages to solve a mystery almost 3/4 of a century old, as well as making life far, far better for more than one person encountered along the way!
Ms. Fry does an excellent job with developing character. I especially enjoy the fact that she does not over-describe the fascinating folks who populate her books. I have a very clear image in my mind of how Savannah, for instance, looks, but it may be very different from yours! And Rags, although extremely intelligent, remains a cat. He does not talk (although he certainly communicates!), he has no magical or supernatural qualities, but he is, as are all cats, a unique, distinct personality. Her plot lines are engaging, and the mysteries are...well...mysterious.
I have come late to this series, and am attacking almost in reverse order, but I have placed the entire thing HIGH on my "Must Have" list. This will be a series that I keep and re-read over the years.

If you read Klepto Cat Mystery #27 you know that Rags found some expensive antique jewelry! Well that book ended and the culprit was not found--neither were the rest of the jewels!
Savannah's detective friend just can't let it go. Much to the dismay of Savannah's husband she is convinced to take a short trip with the detective to see what they can find out.--Hum--he wants Rags to accompany them------
Of course you know they are going to end up in some kind of trouble---
Yes, they do eventually figure it all out--and help some people also. Greed is a terrible thing, especially when families are involved. And people who you think may want to be your friend--

This series just keeps getting better and better!
What a page turner!! Absolutely loved the story
line and the twists and turns in the plot. The new
characters were great and as always Rags was a
fantastic feline sleuth. He always gets his man, so
to speak. Fabulously entertaining, extremely enjoyable
and one of my most favorite cat mysteries ever!

Great read
I have loved Rags from book one the characters in Patricia Fry's books are people you will want to know and you will love them and the stories in this cozy will make you laugh and cry and feel good 28 books and I can't wait till the next one

Good story
