Carol Ann continues to join the other women in the Fat Fridays group for their Friday lunches—no calories counted—and to help one another deal with life’s complications. With her unexpected pregnancy and the support of the women in the group, Carol Ann breaks free from her dismal life with her parents. Left on her own with no support from the father of her child, she decides to start an interior decorating business on the side. She begins by secretly helping Ed Pritchard, her boss at MacTel, decorate his condo for Christmas. One Secret Sunday leads to others. Carol Ann and Ed are planning a future together when trouble arrives. Ed is diagnosed with a serious illness and decides it’s only fair to break off his engagement to Carol Ann. Devastated, Carol Ann wonders how she can continue. But all their Secret Sundays bind them together to bring about a new beginning when he joins her for the birth of her baby. The women in the Fat Fridays group celebrate in style as they prepare a special surprise Ed has arranged for Carol Ann, and she has the home she’s always wanted—and deserved.

The friendship bonds the women have continue to support each one as they face loss and trouble and they share in the happiness that comes their way.
I have read all the series in the Fat Fridays Group. This one captured my attention as much if not more than the previous ones. I received an advanced copy of this book and thoroughly enjoyed these ladies and how they grew a strong friendship through all of their challenges. It was great seeing Carol Ann blossom and grow into a strong, confident, loving and caring person. I enjoyed watching Tiffany grow more confident and truly fall in love. It was also quite unexpected that Grace and Misty’s stories were so different. I enjoy all of Judy’s books because they are truly real life situations and she keeps you on edge throughout the book.
I had an Advanced Reader copy of Secret Sunday’s and truly enjoyed it. As always, Judith Keim writes about strong women and shows how they get through their troubles with grace and strong friendships. I love that her books have female characters that I can related to and also aspire to.
The part that I love about this series of books is the strong friendships that support each other not judge or put down. They help each other overcome their struggles and end up stronger in the end.
This particular book follows Carol Ann and shows how she is stronger than she ever thought she was and ends up opening up like a butterfly and expanding her wings. The story also follows the story of Grace and her daughter, Misty and how their reunion helps them find their internal strengths.
I highly recommend Fat Friday’s and Sassy Saturday’s, they will make you long for a strong friendship with other women.
Thank you Judith for delivering inspiring characters once again.
As Betsy points out, there is nothing like the friendships of women, and this book really captures how throughout life's twists and turns, the support and love of other women can sustain us. So much emphasis is on romantic love, and while these women of the Fat Fridays group do have romance in their lives, that seems to be the icing on the cake, with the cake being true friendship. I like the characters in these books, but I love how they care for one another. And it reminds me to be thankful for the friends in my life, whether we can meet for lunch every week or if we are separated by thousands of miles, our love for one another is not diminished and our support of one another is boundless.
As an advanced reader, I had the opportunity to read this book and once again it only took me about 6 hours all together to read it. Judith Keim has a way with her characters, making her female characters being strong and also being great supporters of each other. Secret Sundays takes you through Carol Ann's pregnancy and being on her one for once. It also takes you through Grace finally able to see her daughter, which is very heart felt. All the characters in Secret Sundays have something going on and it is so easy to follow each characters' lives. I feel like I'm one of the Fat Friday girls !!! This is a must read!!
Secret Sunday’s- Judith Keim Everyone should have a group of friends like the Fat Friday’s Group. Camaraderie, laughter, tears and support help Carol Ann as she works through an unexpected pregnancy and Grace who longs to be reunited with her teenaged daughter. As an ARC reader, I enjoyed each of the women in The Fat Friday’s Group. Recognizing that Carol Ann and Grace need their help, the Group rallies around these two fragile women to offer support, strong bonds of friendship and the help that makes them part of a special sisterhood. I was provided an Advanced Reader Copy copy in exchange for my unbiased review
I love a story about strong female friendships. This story is built around the everyday lives of several women who have created this circle of friendship to help support each other. Several work together and others were pulled in because they fit in. There is plenty of “life” happening from death, marriage, birth, family drama and of course secret love. I enjoyed this book and the bond created by this circle of female friends. I received an ARC from the author and this review is in my own words.
If your looking for a fun women's fiction, well look no further. This book series was absolutely fantastic, engaging, can't put it down good. I felt like I just made friends for a life time after finishing this series. This group of women have each others back through good times, and bad times. They don't take sides, they all agree on what's best way forward. I don't think I've enjoyed a book like this in a long time. I hope this review has you grabbing your copy. Enjoy
I love love this series of books!! This is the third book of the Fat Friday series. The group of friends meet on Fridays for lunch. They are friends and come together, to support and love each other in good times and bad times. This is the story of Carol Ann. She has an overbearing mother and a unexpected pregnancy. With the help of her friends she learns to break away and become her own person! I hope the Author Judith Keith continues this series! She is one of my Favorite Authors!
To have friends that support and are present when needed is every women's dream. These women are definitely each other's tribe whatever they are going through they are stronger because of this group. I hope to see a book 4 in the future watching everyone grow and change has been amazing.
The ladies a stronger together and are truly always there for each other. The true test of real friendship in its best form
Enjoyed reading about all the friends. The last book focused on Carol Ann and Tiffany. Glad everyone's problems were solved, especially Carol Ann. She seemed to be the only one who hadn't found someone. I thought Chloe was adorable and deserved someone like Sukie for a mother. Also glad Tiffany told Muffy to back off. This book was like an extended epilogue about all ladies of the Fat Fridays group.
A lot of surprises in this book, twists and turns I never saw coming. I laughed I cried. I pray their is another book in this series so I can see how it works for Lynette in California. Does Chloe's mom resurface. Does Carol Ann have another baby. Does Tiffany and Kevin marry, what does Beau's parents think. Does Cannabis get another brother or sister. What happens with Grace, Bert and Missy. This series was great. You must read
This was a wonderful story from book one to book 3 I didn’t want it to end. The relationships between girlfriends ,of all different backgrounds and problems, how with each other behind them they could feel the power of love and self worth. I truly looked them and didn’t want the stories to end.
I loved all the books in the Fat Friday group .It was about these women and how they became friends. Their everyday challenges in life and how they helped each other in the good times and bad. It kept you wanting to know more of what was going on in their lives. Can't wait to read more of Judiths books.
Could not put this series of books down until finished. Six women with big problems each and how they support each other and become an extended family to each other. Real loving friendships are formed for them and those they care for. Fast read with a great format.
Very. Uplifting book! Yes, even through all the events life can throw at us, very uplifting series. I read all three (3) books in a row. I didn't want to miss anything. The last book was my favorite. If women could come together as friends as they did in this series what a great world we could have. Highly recommend! Happy Reading!! ENJOY!!! MARY C
I enjoyed the latest in this series. I like the way each book focuses more in depth on a couple of the characters. I guess you could read it as a stand alone but I’d recommend reading the first two so know who everyone is and what trials and tribulations brought them to “Secret Sunday’s”.
This series about women who need saving and created a group of friends who loved and supported each other in so many ways, enchanted me. I loved these characters and sat on tenterhooks as I read about their challenges and triumphs.
Judith's books make you want to be friends with the characters in her books. I am always sad when one ends because I want to continue being involved with the characters.
Secret Sundays was not as good as Fat Fridays and Sassy Saturdays. The first two books were easy reads but this seemed to keep going. The storyline flowed well but there were parts that seemed to continue without end.
My goodness, Judith Keim is a fabulous writer! I very much enjoyed this book and also the other two in the series. Each book is so wonderfully written that they can certainly stand on their own. I look forward to seeing what else she has available, and reading those things too.
Loved this story. Glad I decided to read this series in that I can do them all at the same time. Suki, Betsy, Carol Ann, Tiffany, Grac, Misty and Lynetta. Each story has something to do with everyone but the main one in this one is Carol Ann. A VERY,VERY GOOD READ.
The characters were very interesting and fun. They were very close and loving. They were so kind to family and friends. The romance was very awesome. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
I think this was the best of the 3 books in the Fat Friday series. We all should have secrets that are ours only till we are ready to tell people about them. Great finish to a great series on woman.
