Near Fine Softcover Translated by Mawlana Tameem Ahmadi. A very nice copy, nearly as new, with tight binding and uncreased spine. No marks. Hardly any cover wear.
I really liked this book. It's simple and short and gives you a good, clear overview of things.
It first goes over qualities important to good character and the theoretical way of bringing these qualities to your life and then it does the same for bad character.
It's a very short read and think it's definitely worth reading for any Muslim to get a quick overview and a reference for the future. I also think it would be beneficial for non-Muslims, even though it talks about salah and dhikr because it provides some important questions to reflect on and important qualities to develop.
A solid introduction for any Muslim looking to learn more about finding closeness with Allah SWT. It has some truly insightful perspectives of free will, humility, patience, and sincerity, perspectives that I feel non-Muslims could find interesting to learn about from the perspective of a religious scholar. Even though the book is geared towards practicing Muslims, there are interesting views that non-Muslims or Muslims who are looking for more answers about Islam could learn about, for the sake of learning and possibly using it to change the perspectives.
Concise manual for self rectification. Goes over qualities of noble character and their virtues. Each section is very short and gives a basic description. Qualities it goes over include repentance, hope, compassion, and modesty, among others. Evil character goes over various vices such as arrogance, conceit, greed, jealousy, and lustful gazing. The harms of each qualities are shortly discussed followed by pointers on how to rid oneself from the ailment. Some headings may include a short incident relating to the topic.
Has anyone been meaning to read “Spiritual Handbook”? Well this is that but just older and written differently. Nice simple book that covers the good and bad traits of a Muslim.
