The Seven Year Secret is the 2nd BWWM story I have read by Izabella Brooks and she doesn't dissappoint. The Seven Year Secret is very good with well developed characters and interesting storyline.
Jordan Spencer walks out of Mayanna Richards life to go to Europe to start his Computer Software company. 7 Years later he is now a multi billionaire. Jordans fiancee and childhood family friend Charlotte wants her wedding cake to be make by Mayanna's Bakery. Her Bakery is the best bakery in Malibu and the baker has been in magazines and new media as the best. Jordan and Charlotte aren't in love with each other but there parents are close friends and have wanted them to marry since they were young kids. So they decide to marry to please there parents. They have no emotional connection. Jordan is still in love with Mayanna.
Mayanna is upset when Jordan shows up at ther bakery to order his wedding cake. She tells him no but he pretends and tell her he will ruin her bakery. To get him out of her life quickly she agrees but he must may tripple for the cake. He agrees to that.
Jordan decides to do a background check into Mayanna past to see what she has been upto the past 7 years. To his surprise he finds she has a 6 1/2 year old daughter who looks alot like him. He knows that Samatha/Sammy is his child.

Love and Family
Mayanna hasn't seen Jordan for seven years. Jordan left seven years ago for Europe to build his business. Now Jordan is engaged to marry the daughter of his parents friends. Jordan's intended wants her wedding cake to be made by a small bakery owed by his ex-girlfriend. When Mayanna and Jordan meet again at the bakery the sparks fly. Jordan convinces Mayanna to make the cake and leaves. After seeing his ex again Jordan gets a PI to look into Mayanna. Surprise he finds she has a six year old daughter. He has a six year old daughter. Mayanna told Samantha her father is dead. When the story comes out in the newspapers the world turns for Mayanna, Samantha, and Jordan. Jordan's fiancee is so upset she ends things. Mayanna rushed to Sammy, Samantha at school to bring her home and talk to her. Sammy got in a fight and ranaway from school. She , Sammy takes a cab to go see Jordan. Meanwhile her mother is scared because she can't find Sammy. While Mayanna is looking for Sammy she calls the bakery to see if Sammy is there. Sammy is at the bakery with Jordan. Johanna rushed back to the bakery to face her ex and her daughter. After explaining things to Sammy she and Jordan discuss making a schedule for him to spend time with Sammy. The three start spending time together and doing things together. Next Sammy gets to meet Jordan's parents, her grandparents. The initial meeting goes poorly. Sammy 's grandma, Margery gets very upset with Mayanna for not telling Jordan about Sammy. It gets so bad that Sammy stands up and politely to stop being mean to her mom. After that Mayanna and Sammy leave to go home. The following day Jordan has a serious talk with his parents about the way them have treated Mayanna in the past and now. That straightened out Margery goes to see Mayanna to talk to her and to say she is sorry. Mayanna and Margery resolve their issues and become friendly. Jordan has a talk with Mayanna to see if things are okay with her and his parents and to finally fell her that he loves her and always has. Johanna tells Joradn that see loves him and always has. They finally become a family and Maysnna and Jordan are having another child , which Sammy is excited about. This story teaches the lesson of being able to communicate and being honest in that communication. Well done.

4.25 Stars. This is a lovely story in spite of the heroine’s selfish act of not informing the father nor the child of each other’s existence. I can not excuse such selfish behavior and have no compassion for the heroine in such circumstances. Having said that, this is still a sweet story. Mayanna Richards and Jordan Spencer, an interracial couple, had been in a loving exclusive relationship for a year when Jordan got spooked and decided to end his relationship with Mayanna and follow his parents advise and go to Europe to advance his business propositions. Prior to leaving for Europe, Jordon financed a bakery for Mayanna. Seven years later, a near 40 year-old Jordan had entered into a loveless engagement to a friend. His betrothed wanted her wedding cake to be baked by Mayanna’s popular bakery and as a result, Jordan finds out about his daughter and he a May rekindle their romance. In the end and without too much drama, his parents and his new found family become a loving unite. The end Jordan, Mayanna, Sammy, their daughter and his parents live happily ever after. I like it. KUB # 12.💕

Enjoyable
Both stories were okay. I enjoyed the first book much more...needed a bit of fleshing out of the characters and the h gave in much too easily/quickly. The second story; did not care for the characters..The H was too indecisive..The h was overbearing and emotionally disingenuous. The h was quick to dismiss the H, and he went along with it and tried to appease, even when the h was wrong in her assumptions. A confident woman is enjoyable; an obnoxious one, not so much. Even so, would check out the other stories written by this author.

Well, well, well..another do over.
The H Jordan ran away from commitment & love for a person & put his energies toward the pursuit of financial success. Too young and dumb to realize he could have done both together. But he gets an elusive second chance to make up for that error in judgement.
This one pulls on the heartstrings going thru the gamut of emotions as all the adults dissolve into chaos while a child anchors & saves them all.
Nice solid tale...enjoy!😏

Can You Imagine
Enjoyed reading about Mayanna and Jordan story imagine having a child and the father knowing nothing about it and then finding out accidentally and a whole bunch of drama breaks out afterwards! What's a person to do pretend its not his or just deal with it and the consequences hoping for the best. Well I guess you have to read it and find out. Lol! The bonus was great too.

GOOD READ.
I loved and enjoyed both these stories. This is my second book of Isabella, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading them. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a good romance story with very little drama. A few typos but still an enjoyable read. Thank you Isabella, please keep them coming.

Awesome Reads!
I really enjoyed reading this book! It had two stories in it that I just couldn't put down! These stories are the first that I have read from this Author and I think I will be following her from now on. I know others will enjoy reading this book and that's why I have no problem recommending it to readers along the way!

Decent
Decent read, I’m not sure I would have handled the way the secret got out so calm but maybe that’s the feisty side of me. I give it a thumbs up for not dragging the secret out longer however I was a bit concerned when they left the kid alone in the other cabin while they spent the night doing the dirty deed but I guess I’m a little weird in that aspect.

You can't outrun love!
This was such a cute story. I loved Sammy and her feistiness. No one deserved love more than Mayanna and Jordan! So happy they got it together for the sake of their little family. A few errors but a great quick freed.

This was a really cute story. I like that it focused on the whole family coming together and making it work as well as the couple since the family was originally part of why they broke up and that the hero matured a lot and finally stood up for the woman he loved.

I thought Jordan was a weak man. Would he have not had a relationship with his child and girlfriend if his parents didn't accept them? I did enjoyed reading the book. I just think Jordan was a wimp.

Not bad
I finished this novella in one sitting, so it’s a great length for a short read. However I think the story could’ve been more developed the climax felt a bit shallow in my opinion. I loved the heroines attitude but she was a little hot and cold.

A Good Read

A lot of misunderstanding and miscommunication in both stories. Maya and Jordan showed how love will pull through. Forgiving hearts makes it work.

Fun quick romance

Horrible
Don't waste your money. By far the dumbest story I've ever read. The story line behind the six year leaving school to find her dad was just plain stupid and unrealistic.
