Well written, not ‘sensationalized’. Just biblical facts written concisely and in order. God’s plan well laid out in Scripture, not to scare us but to prepare us. Highly recommend.

For my mystery loving friends, did you know the word mystery is used 33 times in Scripture?! Each time it speaks of an occurrence that can be known.
‘Bible prophecy is a mystery rather than a secret. A secret is exclusionary: ‘I can know it, but you cannot.’ A mystery is inclusionary: Understanding is available to every one of us who takes the time to discover it.’

The Last Hour by Amir Tsarfati

This is an excellent book avoiding sensationalism and date-speculating, that seems to follow End Times reading however this respected Bible teacher Amir Tsarfati uses his unique perspective as an Israeli Christian to lead you through a fascinating modern-day description of God's plan for the end times.

Why do I constantly seem to want to read books that are written on biblical prophecy? Because time is short we cannot afford to play around with living comfortably and knowing what we already do. The need is to study in order to understand God's mysterious plans, only then can we sound the warnings to those we love, as well as those we are able to influence to these truths.

Just on the prophecies relating to Christ's life, the chance of the probability of one man, whether accidentally or deliberately, fulfilling just eight of the prophecies Jesus fulfilled would be, they say, is 1 in 10/17th power. The mathematical improbability of just the 44 Messianic prophecies, let alone the eight fulfilled prophesies used as an example as the statistical improbability for them actually being fulfilled by Jesus stands as evidence to his messiahship. Hence do I believe the rest to follow to be true based on the past prophecies being fulfilled and the evidence of what we see now, I say yes I do.
As Amir Tsarfati himself writes of bible prophecy;
"Bible prophecy is a mystery rather than a secret. That's a huge difference. A secret is exclusionary: "I can know it, but you cannot". A mystery is inclusionary: "Understanding is available to every one of us who takes the time to discover it". This is what I love about searching the bible and discovering answers to the truth as to what is happening right now and to find out what is still to come."

Revealing these mysteries is really like opening any of today's newspapers. Reading newspaper articles today one can read the same that has already been foretold within the bible many centuries before. Likewise as in reading a newspaper the contents within will remain a mystery until you decide to open it up to reveal the news within it. Hence the same for me applies to the bible as seeing the news today always has the effect on me to wanting to look to the bible for the answers to what I have just seen or read in the news.

Much of that news within the papers and media today focus a great deal on Israel/ Palestine/ the Middle East conflicts/ wars and rumours of wars and the alliances of nations against Israel. This anti Israel stance is starting to include many of the Western world nations and the UN because of the ongoing Palestinian/ Gaza strip conflict.

And why Israel?. Because Israel is still described as "God's Time Clock" This is because they were his appointed nation to point the way for the rest of the nations within the world. They were chosen to portray God's plan and truths to the rest of the world as the book of Isaiah tells us
.
"I will also give you as a light to the Gentiles that you should be my salvation to the ends of the earth."

As such looking at Israel we can see "God's barometer" "His Prophetic clock", the powder keg fuse for the final world conflict, the touchstone of world politics. In 1948 with the establishment of Israel displaying their emblem the fig tree that Jesus told us would begin to blossom. This is prophecy in motion, as Jesus foretold it, besides also the other sayings of Jesus below.

"Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near". Matt 24:32.
He then on further to say;
"Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened". Matt 24:34.

A generation is normally regarded as 70 years, so as He says in the previous verse is this our very own present generation era? We need to look at the other signs around us that are happening worldwide in terms of unprecedented natural disasters of our times that also point to what the biblical prophecies and the things Jesus asked people to look out for.

"In the same way, when you see these things happening, you know that He is near, right at the door". Matt 24:33.

We just need to look at the unseeingly alliances of Russia and the Arab states and ask why is this? because of "Oil" the life blood of the world right now, and why Israel? GOD warns Iran (Persia), with Russia (Magog), and a coalition of allies (including Turkey, Libya, Sudan) will go to war and will invade Israel. In Ezekiel 38-39 the Bible warns this coming war between Iran (Persia) and Israel will take place sometime after Israel has been re-gathered into Her land as a nation (which was fulfilled on May 14, 1948) ... .

The answer is true of the fact that Israel now has oil, as they extract natural gas from their oil rigs stationed in the Mediterranean sea. While Israel enjoys its recent finds of offshore natural gas, we keep hearing rumours of vast reserves of oil waiting to be tapped. Is that just wishful thinking? The truth is Israel has never been healthier especially with this recent discovery of vast amounts of natural gas they have already become a major player on the world stage.
Could this be that final lighted match to the powder keg?. I don't know but God has given us as the indicator to what is going to happen hence I for one want to be doing what He Jesus asked of us all.

Hence for me God has given us His church, the role of watchmen. We see the ills of the world and know of the judgements that are coming some of which we are seeing now in the way of climate change, causing floods, droughts, earthquakes, icecap meltdowns causing rising sea levels, heatwaves causing forest fires and other natural disasters. If we can reach people with this truth of what we see around and then show them that this is what is written because we have studied the bible then maybe our words and actions may reveal to others these truths. What then others do with these truths is between them and God.
The only thing I can say in closing in is what Jesus said; "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:32
And also;
"When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." Luke 21:28

I have been following Amir Tsarfati's teachings on his Behold Israel YouTube channel lately. His teachings are clear, easy to understand and rich with insights. I was thrilled when I find out that he has written a book and just like his teachings, The Last Hour is written in such a clear, concise and biblically sound manner.

This book is outlined systematically - from the reasons to study bible prophecy, the rapture, the antichrist, Ezekiel 36-39 to what to do next - making it easy to read and comprehend, especially for us who are new to eschatology. The insights written from a viewpoint of an Israeli Christian provides so much more depth to the Old Testament and how some of the prophecies in book of Ezekiel has been fulfilled just amazes me!

We are living in a world plagued with headlines of wars, chaos, conflicts and increasing lawlessness. As believers, how do we find understanding amid these current events and still live in joy? You will find the answers in The Last Hour. I highly recommend this informative, encouraging, timely and relevant book to every believer. It is our duty as believers to read and study the whole counsel of God, especially the book of Revelation. It is the only one book that promises some kind of a special blessing - "Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand." - Revelation 1:3

My first Tsarfati book, and possibly my last, unless he has more substantial work. In his defense, he is pretty careful about making predictions that are too specific, and I do like the spirit in which he writes. He's one of the more level-headed dispensationalists.
So I'll give him that.

A few big problems though.
First, boring. These are the same old arguments that dispensationalists have trotted out since John Nelson Darby, Inglis, and Scofield. Knock me out.
Second, theologically lightweight. Maybe he has scholarly work. If anyone knows about academic work he has done, let me know.
Third, anti-Anabaptist. I honestly don't know how anyone can completely embrace his eschatology and still be an exile. Imo, any eschatology that promotes any earthly kingdom/political power is dangerous.

Also, Russia is likely Babylon. You're right, Amir. But so is the U.S.A. And so is Bebe Netanyahu's rule, if he stands against the Messiah and oppresses other people.

Replacement theology can lead to anti-semitism. And dispensationalism can lead to the marginalization of Palestinians.

Thanks Amir for giving me the opportunity to rant about the practical outcome of belief systems.

Over the years I have read many books and theories about the last days of the world. This book, written by a Jewish Christian, brings a fresh look from a perspective as an Israeli Christian biblical scholar strictly from a non sensational viewpoint. He brings a unique insight into past prophecies and how they are being or have been fulfilled up through our modern times.

He speaks about some little known events, such as concerning the Iranian nuclear program which I saw documented on a PBS show several years ago. I was surprised to see it mentioned because I'm not certain how widely known it is. When I mentioned the events' circumstances to a group one time, none of them had heard one word about the Israeli's involvement and intervention (in spite of having had a documentary shown on tv).

All in all, it was a very clear understanding of what prophecy is and is not. It is not secret, it is mysterious and can be known by all of us. This is well worth reading, especially if you are interested in the last days of earth. Most intriguing was his view on Ezekiel's vision of the 'dry bones' gaining skin, breath and life, thereafter walking around.

I had to get a Kindle version because libraries in my area did not have the book. It had been suggested to me by a friend.

Excellent! Well Worth Read!

Amir Tsarfati carefully lays out what is happening in the world regarding Israel and consistently goes back to the Bible. He does not launch into fanciful speculations, instead using the Bible to keep him grounded. If you are looking for a book that will tell you exactly when prophecies will be fulfilled them this is NOT the book for you. However, if you are looking for a book from a good, theologically sound Christian who also happens to be a Jew of the tribe of Judah who knows Israel and the politics surrounding the nation today, them GET THIS BOOK. Tsarfati draws upon a his personal knowledge from working in the IDF and gives his testimony of how he came to believe in Jesus while opening up the Bible to compare what it has to say with the daily headlines. He has challenges churches to specifically reach out and help Jews, a forgotten mandate in many congregations. Every church needs to give away copies of this book and discuss it!

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a clear understanding of Biblical prophecy without wanting to jump on the sensationalist bandwagon of some self-proclaim prophet. Amir does a great job explaining what Scriptures say (not what he thinks they say) and showing the political context of the potential fulfillment of prophecies. What I really enjoyed about this book is how practical it is. You won’t find any grand theories or newfound philosophies in this book, only Scriptural, political, and historical facts. When those are not available, the author will humbly express his opinion without strange speculations. The book is also intertwined with the author’s autobiography, which makes it extremely entertaining and easy to read.

Wow! Extremely Informative!

I finally understand the Israeli / Palestinian conflict. The media makes it so confusing, but Amir has made it as clear as glass. Thank You! We are so blessed to be alive these days to see prophecy fulfilled. Having a clearer picture of the situation from the standpoint of an Israeli, I am excited to see God's plan unfold - hard as it might become for us believers. I hope to be taken up to Jesus in the clouds, but if not, at least I know I'll be coming back with Him. I wish churches taught like this! Thanks again, Amir!

Amir was a senior IDF officer in judea, samaria- West Bank. That and his Jewish ancestry is what he calls an insider’s look. He writes with a lot of dry humor and confidence. Extra points for not concealing the suffering that is part of having faith in Jesus Christ, as discipline or through the fallen world.
The parallels between Adam and Abraham were unknown to me before I read this book, neither had I considered that the woman has no ‘seed’. Clear reference to Messiah. If you know nothing about the end times this isn’t the best book to begin with- he defends or explains certain view points e.g a pre-tribulation rupture, and tied them in beautifully with his knowledge of current events- the discovery of natural gas off the Mediterranean coast of Israel, the clamor of Russia to be a super power, the decline of the USA and the reported stash of chemical weapons in Damascus. Riveting read. I wonder though about the identity of the antichrist ( his explanations of foretelling vs forthtelling & near vs distant meaning of prophecy & the difference between antichrists vs The antichrist are on point) what are his thoughts on Daniel 11:37- ‘and the God of his fathers neither shall he regard...’. And where is China in whole thing?

Paramount

Clear, concise, and easy to understand. A necessary read. Especially, the last five chapters. They draw you to consider the times soberly: but also delight for the purity of scriptures and the current reflections.

A wonderful book I stumbled upon while searching for something on Bible prophecy through my local library.

The author starts by telling us his testimony as a Jew in Israel. His years in the Israeli army becoming a Major, his years as a tour guide in the Holy Land and finally as the head of Behold Israel ministries.

A methodical and common sense type of thinker, he puts historical and world events side by side with their Old and New Testament scriptures so we can navigate with ease through End Times Bible Prophecy.

Amir has pulled together for me the jigsaw of Bible Prophecy and Current world events that I have been studying for more than forty years. He has filled in the gaps with lots of information and confirmed many things I already knew. He is SO factual that I have continued to watch his videos on Youtube and Facebook. Amir and the people at Behold Israel have become a massive reference for me to help during these End Times that I have come to rely on.
What I deeply appreciate is that he makes it extremely clear when it is just something he is supposing or assuming as opposed to something the Word of God actually says. In his book and talks, he brings you time and time again to God's infallible word and even gets his audiences to read along with him so that we realize how simple understanding Scripture truly is.

Plus, it is all about Jesus and telling the world the Good News of Christ. He speaks knowledgeably on historical and current events and douses it with the comfort, hope, and peace of Jesus right from the pages of the Bible. And doing it all from the point of view of an Israeli Jew who loves Jesus.
(And he often gives updates from his home that overlooks the Valley of Megiddo. How cool is that?)
A book and resource for these tumultuous times. I believe he and Behold Israel have been spotlighted by God "for such a time as this."

How much do I believe this? The Behold Israel website is now listed as a link on my blogs.

However, I took one star off for his writing abilities. Sorry, Amir. But honestly, you have to HEAR Amir teach to truly appreciate Amir anyway. If you want to know the truth of what is going on in the world RIGHT NOW, turn off mainstream news media and head for Behold Israel. And since I never have recommended anyone or any ministry (besides Charles Stanley and In Touch) to this extent, this is no shabby thing.

I will see you there. Look for me in the comments. Because you KNOW I've always got tons to say.

I hope this helps.
Sincerely, Laura-Lee

I always enjoy Amir Tsarfati's passion for the Lord be it in one of his books or one of his sermon messages. The Last Hour is a great read for those who cannot get enough of soaking in reading regarding the Lord's soon-coming return, and Amir Tsarfati does an excellent job of encouraging his readers to actively be looking and eagerly awaiting the return of Jesus Christ because the rapture is imminent and can happen at any time. You will never be disappointed reading ANYTHING from Amir Tsarfati. In a world where so many preachers are failing to properly teach on the pre-tribulation rapture of the church and in a society where scoffers abound, genuine teachers of Revelation like Amir Tsarfati are a blessing to the souls of many!

I read this book quickly. Very interesting and easy for me to understand. Amir Tsarfati is an Israeli Christian, served in the Israeli army, and his backyard overlooks the Valley of Megiddo! He starts off with his own personal story which is fascinating. He believes that Bible prophecy is not written to scare us but to prepare us and bring us peace that God has a plan and is in control. He makes it clear he is not a prophet and does not make definitive claims. He is a student of the Word of God and uses Scripture to walk us through the events to take place in the last days.

This easy to understand book is full of solid biblical teaching. He provides historical context as well as deciphers future prophecy. This book provides a greater understanding of end times prophecy while also reinforcing the hope we have in Christ. I would recommend this book!

A friend gifted me this book and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Amir Tsarfati is a Jewish Christian with a unique story. Orphaned and raised by a foster family in Israel, Tsarfati's adoptive family kicked him out when he came to faith in Christ. He managed to overcome this obstacle and served his mandatory military service in the IDF rising to the rank of Major with a fair amount of responsibility.

All of this life history gives him a unique perspective as he approaches Scripture and Bible scholarship. This particular work is eschatological in nature examining Biblical prophecy as it pertains to modern day Israel - both in recent history and in the future. I appreciated Tsarfati's take on end-times theology. I have long argued that good eschatology should not be sensational. Unfortunately, many teachers, pastors, and authors worry more about clicks and views than they do fidelity to Scripture. My dispensational professors is grad school often reminded us that when common sense makes good sense, seek no other sense ... and Tsarfati's approach to Biblical prophecy is chock full of good, common sense. He has the ability to take passages that may seem complicated and present them in a manner that that is easy to grasp.

I especially appreciated Tsarfati's take on Ezekiel and will be diving in to my Bible to did a little deeper on that text myself. I highly recommend this work for anyone who is interested in Biblical prophecy.

My Review and Thoughts:

This is a powerful, eye-opening experience that truly plays with the logical mind and sends one’s thoughts into total perfect clarity to understand the Biblical End-Times. A wonderful Christian exploration of how, of who, and of what will transpire during those fateful moments called The End of the World through the Christian understanding of the last days.

From the Rapture to the coming Anti-Christ to the final countdown, and moments of Tribulation and ultimate war.

A perfect book to read, to learn, to grow in solid biblical knowledge.

I was thoroughly educated and I thought I knew everything about the end-times, but seeing it through the eyes of a Jewish believer, over there in Israel, gives a new knowledge of the End. A great exploration of the Jewish importance in the Bible and in Christianity. He shows you the importance of Israel and the true nature of the Jews in the End-Times.

We are living in the world of hatred. Antisemitism is rampant and the reality of this nature of belief of hate is a key factor in the End-times.

I love the true history lesson in this book about Israel and the nation. I love the history of the Jewish nation given briefly. That is what makes this book even more appealing is that it reads like a novel, and yet the history lesson is given in flashes. The book does not bore you, it’s not a text book, and yet in gives you knowledge, and you learn a great detailed reality of all things End-Times and Israel.

I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to learn and know in vivid, perfect detail what is to come, what is going to happen and the very important reality of the Jewish Nation.

This gives you everything happening in the world that showcase the marks and pinpoints of the End-times all around us in the news, daily life and the changing world.

This is probably one of the finest books on the end-times out there. The reason I say that is because the subject matter is so in-depth and truthful in nature, there is no added non-biblical information. So many End-time books, (including popular preachers out there) are clouded with people’s ideas and interpretations of the end-times, give me solid biblical facts and sound doctrine when it comes to the end-times and that is what Last Hour does. It’s a solid reality on these pages. I really like the information on the possible ideas on where the anti-Christ comes from, meaning out of what country. This idea in this book sounds more reality based then any other.

Would I Recommend: 100 Percent yes. For anyone, Christian and non-Christian.

Would I Return to: Absolutely? Truly a book that remains with you and deserves second, third and more reads. I hope this book is updated throughout the years as things happen and change.

Four Words: Brilliant, Spiritually perfect. Educational.

My Rating: 5 out of 5

What a gifted teacher Amir is! I was blessed to hear him speak live at Cornerstone Chapel In Leeseburg, VA in September of 2021. These are among some of the many things I learned from this book….

The first and primary player we must identify is Gog of the land of Magog.

Ezekiel 38:1-4
Now the word of the Lord came to me saying, “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him and say, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords.

Many names exist for Russia- Magog, Rosh, Meshech, Tubal - and it’s leader- Gog.

Russia will lead the attack against Israel.

Russia’s partner in this attack will be Persia - modern day Iran.

Iran hates the West, and they despise Israel - but the loathe the Saudi’s 10 times more.

Iran (Persia) will join Russia in an attack against Israel: “Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer and it’s troops; Togaramah from the far north and all its troops - many people are with you.”(Ezekiel 38:5-6)

Another nation that Ezekiel mentions joining the attack is Cush, also known as Ethiopia.

Cush, Ethiopia = Sudan

Iran and Sudan are very close. Iran gives Sudan money and Sudan lets Iran orchestrate terrorism throughout their nation.

One more nation that will join against Israel is Turkey. In Ezekiel, Gomer and Togarmah refer to Turkey.

There are a few other nations that are mentioned in Ezekiel 38:13
“Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, “Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take plunder?”

These nations are looking on, criticizing the attack on Israel but they will do nothing about it.

Sheba and Dedan refer to Saudi Arabia. While most nations are distancing themselves from Israel, the Saudi’s are actually becoming friendlier. This friendship is not official, but is built on an understanding of a mutual threat in a nuclear Iran.

The “merchants” of Tarshish speaks of Europe. Europe is all talk and no action.

Russia, Iran, Turkey, and Sudan are ready to attack Israel.

The only thing that could have made this book better was if Amir himself had been the reader! I "discovered" Amir Tsarfati when a Christian friend of mine posted one of his YouTube videos on Facebook. I could not get enough of his prophecy updates and his teachings! I immediately subscribed to his channel and eventually found that he had written this book.

As I was reading, I could see where God had been guiding Amir's steps all his life! I love the perspective he brings as a Jew who believes Jesus is the Messiah. He also brings an interesting perspective as someone who has insider information on high level Israeli intelligence. He can't share all he knows but the info he does share, combined with what the Bible says really made the Bible come alive for me.

Amir's story about being at the World Trade Center the day before the 9/11 attack was more evidence of God directing his steps.

I also learned of Amir's life as a child and how he came to know Jesus. To know what he has been through and has accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of his life was yet more evidence of God directing his steps.

God has a great plan for Amir and I have enjoyed being a part of seeing that plan coming to fruition through this book as well as his ministry, Behold Israel.

I already have Amir's next book on my TBR list. It's not coming out till next year but I sincerely look forward to reading it! It's called The Day Approaching: An Israeli’s Message of Warning and Hope for the Last Days and it's expected to be out March 3, 2020.

A wonderful and easy to understand book that really opened my eyes. It gave me a much better understanding of Israel and it's surrounding countries. Amir readily tells the reader that he is not a prophet but he is a student and student of God's Word. I agree in that I truly believe we are in fact living in the last days. Ezekiel and Revelation I have found to be two of the harder books of the Bible to understand. Amir has given an eye-opening explanation of some of the verses and has peaked my interest in doing a more in-depth personal study of these two books. I love Bible study and admit these two books of the Bible I have struggled with. Amir does not pretend to know dates and times of the Rapture, the Second Coming, or other future events but he does bring to light the signs that we are living in now.

Avoiding sensationalism and date-speculating, respected Bible teacher Amir Tsarfati uses his unique perspective as an Israeli Christian to lead you through a fascinating modern-day description of God's plan for the end of the world.
Grounded from start to finish in Scripture, the book reveals how the Rapture, the imminent rise of the Antichrist, and the tragic horrors of the Great Tribulation will play out in our world today. He also helps you understand the roles--and fates--of Russia, Iran, Syria, Turkey, the European Union, the United States of America, and Israel in the end times, showing just how biblical prophecies are being fulfilled in our time. But above all, he offers hope that in the midst of chaos and horror, God is ultimately in control, and those who belong to him will be safe with him.

Calming knowledge

I've been a Christian since I was 14, I'm now 48. I've always known the difference between the Rapture and the Second Coming. Amir's book however, clearly lays out the order of world events leading to the Church's Rapture. This is where I have always been a little fuzzy. I've been in church and heard sermons on the Rapture, Tribulation and Second Coming, but none was laid out so clearly in step by step form as this book. I now know what to be looking for in the correct order of events before I'm called to meet Jesus in the sky (Amir's depiction of how we will be raptured gave me goose bumps). How wonderful that will be!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who may not be clear of the order of events of the Rapture, Tribulation and Second Coming. From new Christians to long time Christian like myself, it'll give you great comfort as we watch the evil things in this country (as long as Democrats are in control) and around the world. Such as the Pope (who I believe is sent from Satan) trying to lead to a single world religion, to the EU trying to become the beginning of one world government with a single world currency, to Russia wanting to join with Arab nations to take out Israel, to knowing I need to be watching and waiting for Damascus to be destroyed. It's clearly laid out and plainly explained. You will love (if you are saved and a born again Christian through the Life, Death, and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus). If not, it may scare you. Maybe just enough to lead you to Salvation in Jesus.

Clear and easy to understand

The author clearly lays out his view of the end times and his interpretation of what is to come. I read this book in one day, in between household and family chores. It was definitely interesting, but…much as I like that it is written in a way that is easy-to-understand, it might be written too simply. A lot is left out. I wish the author would have gone a little bit deeper in his narrative. In an effort to persuade the reader of how simple it is to understand the Bible passages of the end times, Tsarfati must by necessity make his points easy to understand, but I would have been more convinced if he would have used more primary sources and more Bible passages to support his interpretation. Don’t get me wrong! He did use a lot of scripture, but in my opinion he didn’t go deep enough. Still a good book though!

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a birds eye view of the end times.
