Aer-ki Jyr is one of the top 20 science fiction authors on Amazon due to his extremely long and ongoing space opera epic STAR FORCE, one of the longest military science fiction series ever written.
i have been looking for years for some thing like this, nothing even comes close and i have been looking ,digging deep in lists and amazon maybe Rise of the Empire or Exodus: Empires at War comes close but they both come short
Truthfully, it is one of the best science fiction series that I have read in a very long time. The author has created an entire universe with so many races and individuals that unlike virtually every other long series I have read, you can't get tired of it. My complaints are that after the first 20 books the editing went all to hell. The editing improved a little bit as the series progressed, but there are at least 20 books where there are an extraordinary number of grammatical and typographical errors. My other complaint is that these are not books. I am reading them for free on Amazon Prime. If not for that I would not be reading them. Basically the author is publishing chapters and trying to sell them as books for 2.99 each. If you bought them you would end up spending hundreds of dollars to buy the series. Although I highly recommended this series I would wait until it is compiled into volumes that are available as a set. The first 100 books are available now as the first 20 volumes. The rest however are being published in shorter and shorter versions. Books 40 and onward take less and less time to read. Books 47, 48, and 49 took about one hour each. That gives you some idea of how short these really are... I will admit that I am a relatively fast reader having read more than 3,000 books in my life but knocking out a book in an hour or less in my mind means it's a chapter or two not really a book. I gave it four stars because although it is a great series, the typographical errors and the shortness of the books are bothersome.
the transhuman aspects are one of.the best qualities of the series to me, and this episode deals a great deal with that. Also the Salvadoran (dragons not going to try and add their real name to my spell check)....ah hell the zacdorans and chiczon Sep it's are prominent...really want to know their secrets. Did either glow in the past? Is this a result or benefit of genetics knowledge. Perhaps how the dragons met haderon...when they were upgrading themselves based on came out. Who sent them?
What to take away A Saiyan warrior had to be made Break everything and rebuild it And do not forget the lizards Will the plans hold out or will the enemies win out Plus why is Star Force the only one the encourage everyone vs dominating or is that just from the Star Force perspective? Are they just like like the enemies or are they truly better?
I like the characterization and some of the science written. I do not like the obvious grammar, tense, sentence structure errors in the writing. Use of grammarly might help this. Overall the story is engrossing, even if some of its fundamental assumptions, group education rather than family oriented, commune instead of individuality, etc.
Again I am in awe, it just keeps getting better honestly I think the monthly installments are too short lol we need them to be longer Aer-ki, please keep up the good work this fan is not going anywhere ever!!
Very good ending to a long story, it leaves you wanting to read, the next book. The pilot seems to be aligning along a direct path with more foes to deal with.
Exciting and fun with a little less intensity but still very captivating. Book is hard to put down. Some advanced concepts may be hard to grasp by younger readers.
One of the best yet! But now I can't read any other sci-fi for a bit because I don't have anything else that is as great as these. He still needs an editor. Lots of typos.
Revelations, New tech, better weapons, same old, same old. Still decent writing. But I'm planning to take a break from this universe for a while. Keep writing!
