This is a fantastic way to learn how English grammar works. I bought and used these books for grade seven English classes.

Through the lens of a sentence structure, O'Brien's practical exercises and simple explanations are scaffolded so that each new topic builds upon previous lessons. Diagramming and naming the word's function in a chart is the winning combination to make the learning stick.

Get the answer key, too, to really be sure.

The accompanying videos are quite helpful also.
