The Law of Moses, the Old Covenant, did not pass away until all things in it were fulfilled - in AD 70 (Luke 21:22)! In this easy reading, very powerful and convincing book, Daniel Dery of The Institute of Fulfilled Prophecy, presents an effective, logical, exegetical case for a period of approximately 40 years for the transition from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant of Christ to be completed. You will be amazed at how clear - and undeniable - the Biblical testimony is on this issue!

This is a good and simple introduction to the question of when the Old Covenant ended and when the New Covenant truly began. Dan Dery approaches this topic based on the testimony of Scripture in a clear and structured way, dividing the book into four main chapters: how the transition between the covenants was initiated, the inheritance during this covenantal shift, the Kingdom of God throughout the transition, and finally how the image of God was restored through this process.

The book is quite easy to read and provides a concrete picture of what the Bible says about the transition between the Old and the New Covenant—namely, that the Old Covenant was not replaced at the cross, and that the New Covenant did not begin at the cross, but that there was a transitional period between the cross and AD 70. Dery’s writing style is somewhat reminiscent of Don K. Preston, though not as complex as Preston can sometimes be. A solid introduction to a rather heated topic when futurism meets preterism.

Preston endorsed pseudo scholarship nonsense

He screws up Matthew 5 from the start as well as Hebrews 8 and this is where he, like debunked pseudo scholars Don Preston and Max King, who he basically copies, screws it all up. Someone needs to help this guy learn to use the space bar. Hard to read this book without finding entire sentences like this: ishouldnotwitebooks. If I could go lower on ratings I would.

The Truth

The author is very consistent and clear in putting forth his view
of first century fulfillment of covenantal transition between the Old Covenant passing away and the New Covenant being established by the return of the King to bring in His kingdom at that time. A kingdom that would last forever and ever.
