Working from a writer’s perspective, this book explores these Three Wells and helps you con-sciously draw from them to develop new scripts, or strengthen old ones. It includes 29 exercises and techniques that help you to write stories that contain fresh ideas, intriguing characters, original scenes, inventive dialogue, unique locations, and important themes.
There are many 'how to' books in the writing and screenwriting world, and I've read many of them and always get something from every book, but this one really made me think and ponder. It takes an entirely different approach and provdes a thought provoking insight into the creative process, one which we can all benefit from if we adopt for ourselves. Packed with great exercises to aid better understanding and clearly communicated, I'd highly recommend it; not just to any screenwriter but to any writers no matter the format.
