The Man-Killer Virus -- a lethal disease that has eradicated 99.9% of the world's male population. Mizuhara Reito has been in cryogenic sleep for the past five years, and now awakens to an all-female world where he himself is the planet's most precious resource. Reito is given one simple repopulate the world by impregnating as many women as possible -- whether he wants to or not!
After being stricken by an uncurable disease, Mizuhara Reito goes into cryogenic statis until a cure is found. Five years later, he is awakened to find he is one of the last men on earth and billions of women want to mate with him to save the human race. Alas, Reito's heart belongs to Elisa, whom no one has heard from in three years...
I picked up the latest book in my manga self-eduction because the setup sounded a lot like Y: The Last Man, Vol. 1: Unmanned and wanted to see how another author handled it. It's appropriate that I used the word 'handled' because this book features tons of boobs. But I get ahead of myself.
Set a couple decades in the future, Earth is doing pretty good. Nobody has to work unless they want to and crime is a thing of the past. Then Reito goes to sleep and the whole world goes to shit. The man-killer virus wipes out all of the earth's male human population except for the handful that were in deep freeze at the time. Reito has his pick of the women once he wakes up but only wants Elisa. It's surprisingly sweet for a book that's almost wall to wall boobs.
Okay, that's an exaggeration but there are lot of heaving breasts, both clothed and fully exposed. It's not exactly a porny book but there's nudity and strong sexual content and I wouldn't let a teenage boy read it unless you want the pages stuck together. It's the manga equivalent of one of those softcore Skinemax movies.
Hundreds of women are running down the field toward Reito's goal post and he only wants Elisa. Will he be able to hold them off when even his handler, Suou Mira, wants to score the extra point? There are some gender roles twisted when Reito's having to fend off unwanted advances, including a nurse and a bodyguard who also want to mate with him.
I'm curious to where the series will go. Some seeds were planted that I think will bear interesting fruit in the future. The art is great, exaggerated boobs and all.
World's End Harm is one titilating read. I'm on board for the duration.
Not bad for an adult themed story. Characters are not mindless, they rather have logic behind actions. And that makes this story different and good enough.
I expect a generic MC that only thinks of having sex, But this one is quite the opposite.
His actually educated, responsible and had goal in mind. He lives in the world that only 5 men survive(3 is currently in cryo) and the only way re populate the world is to..you know traditional way AND all the other means of method is currently useless(cloning, sperm donation, etc)
But our MC is non of that. Which if also kinda stupid in a smart way. Like come on The world is gone to shit, and you can still get you're shit together. Youre a f*cking medical student before this happens.
Now for those who haven't read this manga imagine a world that consider you a price object. Its not like their treating you like a cattle exept YOU ARE THE CATTLE.
4/5: The art is excellent for a harem and the story is even passable for a seinen manga.
I am actually quite surprised at just how much I enjoyed this first volume.
Behind the *Ahem* in-your-face imagery, there are the seeds of a compelling story. One I intend to keep going through. Also, yes the character designs are fantastic.
I usually reserve judgement on mangas until I finish a few volumes but this one.
Look, women aren't perfect. I'm not going to sit here and say that in a world without men all crime and problems would be magically solved and the streets would be paved in gold. No one is going to suggest that. BUT! Men disappeared and everything about society literally falls apart???
Another Shōnen Jump manga that gets diaspora'd to Seven Seas / Ghost Ship and slapped with a Mature rating. Well, Jump+, but whatever. VIZ published Fire Punch with a Mature rating, but that doesn't have naked women (arguably...), so it's "safe."
So far, World's End Harem feels like the idea was "Y: The Last Man, but for men with more testosterone." Well... I'm making a joke at the expense of how utterly "Western" and "modern" Y was, but I read the bulk of that comic when I was at the height of puberty, if I remember correctly. Whatever. Anyway, it's basically the exact same premise. Just "a world of mostly women" is seen as more of an intriguing thing because every woman we see is voluptuous and sexy and DTF, rather than being bitches. So it goes.
Of course, being manga, and perhaps because it's specifically shōnen manga, and perhaps even more specifically because it's technically Jump, our hero is a pussy who wants to find his long lost love rather than just sew seed all the fuck over the world. So, again, it goes. But... you probably have to be stupid to pick up a manga like this and expect anything other than a milquetoast vagina-man as a protagonist. The point is more for the reader to ogle female characters than to impose his will upon the protagonist. ┐(‘~`;)┌

I bought this book for cheap thinking it was gonna be trash, though now I'm cautiously optimistic about following the story.
The characters are well-written, although they mostly seem to be rather flat right now, with all the female characters either being mainly interested in sex or being rather childlike. I'm grateful that there is no overlap between the two.
That being said, I have many more complaints about the way the characters are drawn. The art itself is extremely good, but EVERY female character having the exact same body type and with the exact same features, save for facial features, skin tone (occasionally), and hair color. Even the in-universe explanation of these women being "the best of the best" fails to account for the fact that there are different body types, or even just that there are different ways bodies can be attractive at all. The depictions of women here aren't meant to be realistic, obviously, but even within the story's own rules, it just falls flat.
The world itself seems thought out, but I really wish there was more looking into the state the world is in, how the people cope, their way of life and how they've handled the catastrophic loss of, well, half the population.
The writing as a whole is rather good, the pacing solid and the premise interesting. Here's hoping it'll be able to carry the pace.
Ok so I wan not expecting to like this at all. I was expecting this to be just some bland protagonist popping boners and nosebleeds every few seconds but this book actually managed to subvert that trope. Yes, the main character is kinda bland at least appearance wise (he linga reminds me of Yato from noragami with a little less expensiveness that Yato has). He is however, kinda interesting. I like how he actually respects the women around him unlike the other patient introduced. He decides to try and do something that might actually save the world. This manga probably won’t be for everyone. It has A LOT and I mean A LOT of nudity. There’s literally a bunch of naked women on page 2. Other than that though, this story definitely has potential. Let’s hope it doesn’t all go downhill from here because I can definitely see that happening in all honesty.
Ratcheting up the harem manga/anime tropes to +11. I came to this series after recommendations from the manga of Prison School. This is the ultimate conclusion to the harem genre that has been popular in a slice of the public consciousness going back some time. The final man having to re-populate the earth with lots of lovely ladies. In this iteration a medical student goes into cryo-sleep for an unrelated issue only to wake up to a male devastated world where he is one of 5 viable males left around. The female ruling class throws everything and everyone at him in an effort to kick-start the mating process. For narrative purposes, he of course has qualms and searches for his missing true love in the face of increasing 'pressure to perform'. Not too shabby so far, with very impressive artwork it's been enjoyable and you can really move through the books quickly. (j4.)
The premise is absurd, but just absurd enough to keep reading. The art is gorgeous, the story is out there and a bit too facilitating with the no artificial insemination but, but for some reason it works? It's a bit like watching reality tv, sometimes you just need something like this to zone out for a bit.

I originally thought that this would be a super light ecchi/fan service story but I was wrong. The plot and characters as well as concepts are fleshed put very nicely. I can't wait to read the next one!
Does what it's supposed to. Entertaining without forcing you to think or overthink anything. Author promises even better drawings for the next books. Might give it a try...
An interesting first volume. This may be lewd or end up lewd but I think there could be depth to the character and plot. Not just a harem and breeding plot. Curious to see it going forward.
4/5 answers the question "Should you read this?" with a "Yes, if you like this sort of thing"
Wild Premise where men with a certain health condition are immune to a man-killing virus, and are the only hope of repopulating humanity. Moving on from the obvious harem fantasy plot, the first volume seemingly subverts what you'd expect to happen. I'm very happy with the writing and story thus far, and am excited to dive into the next volume!
I liked the plot, virus kills all the men (pretty standard) the main character wants to stay loyal but need to help repopulate the Earth. From there he wants to cure the virus and find the love of his life, who has gone missing.
The creator really thinks that if men were to go extinct that the world would collapse? Even though artificial insemination works but also results in women so the human race would still go on but just with all women. No that is not an option. Because women can’t operate without men?
Ever read The Goslings? This is basically the manga version. With a side of hentai.
A few years back, I saw this manga and read the few chapters that were published and just forgot about it. Years later, I recognized it in the features popular manga section. Excited, I went to read thinking I had found something I had enjoyed but forgotten years ago. Now, I wish I had completely forgotten or never even read it in the first place.
The male population is nearly none existent due to a sickness only affecting the XY sex including stored semen (I don't even know how those ones contracted the disease but whatever). So a few select men were placed in hibernation including the protagonist of the series (although for him it was due to a fatal disease in which they could cure him in the future). If only the plot made a bit more sense but from the looks of it, people aren't reading this for the plot but for the bodacious curvy women with giant jello cups for breasts and sex crazed libidos borderline sexual rapy predators **cringe** I rather spare myself from writing more as it is truly cringe worthy and although I love fan service, this plain just **excuse me I must vomit a bit** me...
