Follow the heroes as they transition from students to respected members of their communities. They test their skills and abilities to uncover more about the trials they face while they discover more about their world and themselves as they face increasingly difficult challenges along the way.
Erik Hertwig is a graduate of St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin. Erik wrote his first children’s book, “The Old Man Who Lived in the Dump” as a first grader.
His decision to become an author prompted him to major in English Literature, Secondary Education, and pursue a career working with children as an English teacher as well as an author, consultant, publisher, and public speaker.
Erik is the creator of the ‘Zoo Adventure Series’ a series of children books that take place in a zoo; The Trials, a fantasy hero’s journey archetype novel about a half elf’s coming of age journey into adulthood; several short fantasy stories; and technical manuals that focus on composition writing and career advancement.
Erik is a former award winning robotics coach, a teacher of the year in Arizona 2014, a member The Lion's Club International, and an Arizona STEM Super-Hero Award Finalist.
