Esan should be happy with his life. He has a great career with the Galactic Cage Fighters Association and his sister is happily mated. However, after watching his sister and his friends find their mates and start their families, he feels that maybe it is time for him to find a mate of his own. Unfortunately, he is more interested in the event planner than the females who are supposed to be his potential mates.

Nina Sinclair’s career takes a giant leap forward as she takes a position with the Galactic Cage Fighters Association as their new event planner. Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries are no problem for her. She could plan those things blindfolded. So, when she is asked to plan a matchmaking event for one of the GCFA fighters, she says yes. It should be a piece of cake, except that the person she is planning the event for is nothing like what she thought he would be and she can’t seem to stop thinking about him. She is one event away from soaring to the top or crashing in epic failure.

Esan & Sersan, formidable half human and half Leptan brother/sister team on the GCF circuit, are a team no longer now that Sersan has married Ronin. Maybe it's a good time for Esan to do his duty for his home planet to mate a female to breed as is required of all eligible Reptan males. Problem is Esan has little time to return home to vet potential females due to his contractual obligations to GCFA.

Nina Sinclair has high hopes to hit it big in the industry as the premier event planner for the Galactic Cage Fighters Association (GCFA). Her first real test was arranging Sersan & Ronin's wedding which, by all reports, was spectacular. Her next assignment though is a bit trickier. To arrange a gathering for one moody antisocial grumpy but oh so well built muscular gorgeous guy like Esan.

Let the games begin

* * *

Newest installment in the "Galactic Cage Fighters" series that features Esan whose sister was featured in Ronin.

Overall it was a pleasant story with a twist that fans of the series can appreciate. Includes adult content intimacy scenes and does include a secondary cast of characters who are pulled from previous installments (which is why this really isn't a stand alone read) and a few new characters who pose as the evil/bad guy elements.

While I appreciated and enjoyed the overall story it didn't provide anything but another glimpse into this SciFi world of MMA type fighter misfits meeting their soul mate partners.

B o r I n g .....

Someone called this cookie cutter, hmmmmmmmm, not sure but there really wasn’t much here to be honest...
I adored Nina, Esan was ok, but I felt like most of the character came from Nina....
Esan honestly didn’t seem fully formed, like at least the first 1/2 doz. times he speaks in his head about his sister,it’s always the same thing .... He’s glad his sister or his ssssssisster ( I know they are supposed to be a reptile like race ( Hello “Reptan”?) but all thosssse exaggerated ssssssssss’s got kinda old after a while) didn’t mate a male from Reptan because he would have treated her badly and Ronin seems to love her deeply, but even soo it always sounds rather grudgingly,he lets you know every time he approves but doesn’t really want to.... and that said soo many times I lost count...
Honestly these two seem a great match for each other, but The Whole “gathering” to find a “mate” just seemed purely created to give the story a plot and a point and it really doesn’t seem thought out all that well... Why ?
Well neither Esan or his sister have any great love for their supposed home world and from we see the feeling is mutual ,supposedly he wants to find a Reptan female to mate because it’s his “duty” but he never wants to live there, doesn’t want to do anything with its ppl or structures and when he finally thinks on it he doesn’t want to raise the children he feels the need to have there ..... Sooooooo the point of getting a mate from there is ?
Yeah, seriously if Esan himself had been given the chance to really stop and think about it and not the writer I don’t think he’d taken more than a very days to realize it was a bad idea and had Nina on a date then in his bed and that would have been all there was....
One person they liked that this wasn’t “insta-love” I think it was and that was the problem, there honestly wasn’t a story here to give poor Nina and Esan, one had to be invented and well compared to how this series first back with good ole Rage, it feels like this series has run out of steam ...
Back at the beginning when Rage met Rachel, it was exciting and those two had chemistry you could feel, you couldn’t wait to see what would happen next....
Those two were combustible , they had a pop and a sizzle about them, these two were a sweet gentle steam as your taking your kettle off the burner....
Nice but they could have easily been in the background getting together in another story, there wasn’t enough here to merit their own....
Sadly for me the most exciting/interesting part was at the very end when Nina’s parents show up and of course that’s where the story ends...
Her rather excitable human parents who want to renew their vows on the space ship 🚀 meeting her new mate, along with all her sisters , now that ? That might have been interesting ...
This , this was not ...
If your into the series and just want to keep up read it , sure but I wouldn’t recommend it otherwise ...

I love this series. I'm glad Esan found his mate. Nina is so right for him. I do love the idea of them starting a bit slower, rather than instalove. But when they do come together the sparks fly. Can't wait to read more in this series.
