The Wildness Within

Rate this book
Gwyn ap Nudd was supposed to be raised to be one of the greatest warriors of the Seelie Court, but instead - when he is young - he is turned out of his home after a traumatic event, only to be repeatedly trapped and tormented in the neighbouring forest by his cousin until finally...only a semi-wild being remains.

Discovered and captured by a young, Unseelie waterhorse, no one knows if Gwyn is capable of recovery - though that doesn't stop two brothers from trying. But the situation is dire, especially with his cousin still out there, looking for his missing prey...

i became basically immediately enamoured with gwyn and tracked him normal-style across five of foxhall's novels in the course of one frenzied week. this is the kind of straightforwardly done tropey romance/erotica that self-justifies: i'm not a hurt/comfort or whump person AT ALL, but gwyn would get hurt and i would go 😈 and gwyn would be comforted and i would go 😈 and augus would uncover more gwyn backstory whump and i would go 😈 . EVERY TIME. it did not get old!! very fast, easy, read, comfortable and interesting. contains the perfect amount of puppy play.

Definitely the softer Fae Tales! So much softness. So many feeeeeeeels. Poly! Communication! The Raven Prince! Ugh, just let me roll around in this AU please.

Parts I loved as they occur to me:
-the charms
-The Raven Prince and the Oak King talking
-pushy, demanding Gwyn
-Ash and the board games
-Augus needing his own space but still wanting Gwyn by the lake
