One attack in her home is enough to make Lacie Hill freak out, but a second is enough to make her check out. Lacie was happy with her solitary life—kindergarten teacher, weekly girls’ nights out, and a father she’s close to. When she’s targeted for sick games with unknown players, she forces herself to act normally and hope everything will go away. You know, ostrich impersonation. The police are doing everything they can to help. Nothing left for her to do, right?

Wrong.

When Lacie’s father hires Pierce Securities to help her, the only person not working a job would be the boss man, Simon— a control freak who loves his rules. He’s trying to find his sister’s stalker while keeping his micromanaging eyes on all the guys in the office. He has policies in place for reasons.

For safety. For professionalism. For his heart.

But will Lacie’s case be an echo of his past? Or will he be able to protect her and love her at the same time, breaking all his hard and fast rules?

I received this arc for an honest review.

It's  awesome, this was the book but I think everybody who has read book1 has been waiting for Simon Story.

When everyone is busy Simon takes on a bodyguard job one he really doesn't want. But the nature of this job makes it difficult for him to say no.

Lacie is being stalked by not one but many men. Confronted by one man outside the school where she works whilst her dad was walking her to her car. Lacie can no longer

Ignore the breakins or creepy messages. Her dad hires Pierce Securities.

Simon can't understands why the control he has practise and that has got him this far in life  keeps failing him around his client Lacie.

She a beautiful contradiction that keeps Simon confused, wanting and feeling things he thought he could or never would experience

again. Jeopardizing his ability to protection of her.

Lacie knows she in danger but she keeps trying to put it to the back of her mind and carry on with her day-to-day life she finds Simon very confusing running hot running cold she doesn't know what going on with  him. Yet she is drawn to him and feels safe with him.

Yet the threats keep escalating.

And an old enemy has reemerged

One that likes playing games and is out to destroy Pierce securities.

But how do they piece together the puzzling events happening. Are they even related.

Awesome that sterilises grab this book five stars you will definitely love the story

I really didn’t think this series could get any better. I loved this one! Simon is my new hero. I couldn’t put it down.
With the return of an old enemy that just made it even better. He was freaking nuts!
Great romance suspense read.
I laughed a little, I cried a little and I gripped my seat the whole way through.
Definitely recommend

Sometimes control is all you have to keep you from unravelling…

A beautifully written story by Anne Conley. Bittersweet as the much anticipated story of Simon, owner of Pierce Securities, comes to it’s conclusion with ECHO - Bk 9.

It’s thoughtful, complex, jam-packed with adventure, adrenaline, twisted turns and an unresolved case that will collide with a current, more personal investigation. It will eventually come full circle and test Simon and Lacie in more ways than they can ever imagine.

What a mysterious and suspenseful plot line to unravel. Lacie, along with her kindergarten students will push the limits and test those strict rules and controls that govern Simon's life. For some, we are able to lock down the turbulent emotional pain under strict rules and control. It’s that very control that keeps us from unravelling. Do you find the courage to take another chance at life and protect love?

Technology is a wonderful thing, with endless possibilities, yet in the very wrong hands of a man hellbent on revenge and destroying Pierce Securities - has made life extremely dangerous for Simon and Lacie.

Parts of this story reminded me of the movie, Kindergarten Cop, but elevated to a whole new level of high stakes suspense and dramatic mind games.

You will become invested in their lives. A page-turner from the very first word to the last word. Get caught up in the drama that can be love. It’s dramatic, it’s heated suspense. It’s ECHO. Read what it takes to bring two beautiful, determined, stubborn and oh so courageous souls together. This is Simon and Lacie’s journey. What a truly remarkable and well written story to conclude this series - well done Anne Conley!

When you have wonderful characters you want more to their story, and this story delivers the more… even when you wanted to shake them both so bad! As a series now concludes, you see some characters inside that we all catch up with. If you aren’t familiar with Simon’s security team and they have piqued your interest - then go back to the very beginning to start your adventure. A definite recommend to read this entire series.

This is such a great addition to the pierce securities series! I am sad to see the series come to end, but what a book to conclude the series with. I would definitely recommend that you read the first eight books in the series first. You will understand the characters better, and how Simon has been in the previous books. This was an amazing book, and I could not put it down until I finished it! This is Simon and Lacie’s story. I have been waiting for Simon’s story, and it did not disappoint. Simon is the stoic boss, and in this book, we get to understand him and why he is the way he is. There was so much intrigue, and so many twists and turns in the book. It was a heart pounder, and it kept my interest from the first page!

Reading Echo was rather sad but oh so exciting! knowing that it wraps up the Pierce Security Series.
Throughout the whole entire series, we get glimpses of Simon, the eldest Pierce and we see some of his pain. We know that he has his iron-clad rule against dating the clients. That was sure thrown out the window when he meets Lacie. Will Simon be able to keep his hands off of her and keep her safe? This book is a roller coaster ride. So make sure you are buckled up and ready to go for a ride.Sad to see the series end but holy crap it went out with a bang.

I have been waiting on a book about Simon from the very beginning of the book series and finally I have it. It didn’t disappoint either. Lacie is the perfect person for Simon. The book was really good, you learned more about the stoic Pierce Securities boss and how he is the why he is. Any book that one of the characters is a teacher, is going to be a good read, I loved reading the parts where Simon helps in the classroom to keep Lacie safe. By far the best scene is when Lacie finds out Simon and her are neighbors and her friend is determined to meet them. Lacie shows she is interested however Simon is throwing the hot and cold signals however that doesn’t stop Lacie. The ending of the book was awesome. I am sad to see this series end but I am glad I read all of the books.

I can’t wait to read more from Anne Conley.

Reading Echo was rather bittersweet knowing that it wraps up the Pierce Security Series.
Throughout the entire series we get glimpses of Simon, the eldest Pierce and we know some of his pain. We know that his iron clad rule against dating the client was thrown out the window with each and every case, so It should be easy for HIM to abide by it right?
Oh how the mighty fall hard when they finally allow themselves to fall.
Simon and Lacey's story is full of angst and intense chemistry ( wouldn't expect anything less from Anne Conley)
We finally see a few things come full circle and I would be lying if I said that I didn't shed a few tears while reading this story.

I have faith that this isn't the last we hear about the gang at Pierce Securities, Well... I certainly hope not..

Echo by Anne Conley is an action-packed romantic suspense. Ms. Conley has delivered a well-written book loaded with phenomenal, lovable characters. Lacie is a kindergarten teacher being stalked and has been attacked twice. Simon is the owner of Pierce Securities and is hired to keep Lacie safe. Their story is packed with drama, action, humor, sizzle and suspense. Warning, once you start this book, it's hard to put down. I totally enjoyed reading Echo and look forward to reading more from Anne Conley in the future. Echo is part of the Pierce Securities Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Action Packed Romance♡
Lacie finds herself in a bunch of trouble, fending off multiple uber-creepy guys trying to attack her. Her father is very worried,so much so that he hires a security firm to help her. Enter mega hottie Simon Pierce, who, if he can keep his hands off her, will help keep Lacie safe. Instant heat between Simon & Lacey, that only builds as the danger increases. Super twisted plot with intrigues, sinister machinations, tons of scary action, and a dark tinged sexy-but-sweet love story. Such a fun read!

I feel like I waited forever to read Simon’s story and it definitely didn’t disappoint. I loved finding out what his hang up was and I thought Lacie was his perfect match. This book had everything suspense, intrigue, mystery and plenty of heat. With everyone already working on other cases Simon takes a protection detail for Lacie. He is hired by Lacie’s father who is concerned about his daughter being stalked and attacked multiple times in her home. This story was definitely fast paced enough and never really felt like it stalled. Voluntarily reviewing an advance reader copy.

If Simon Pierce can't get control of his personal demons he just might fail not only himself, but the woman he can't live without. There's more at stake than his carefully ordered life and rules. Lacie, Bonnie, and his entire team are at stake if they can't connect the dots and finally put Jonas out of commission. Simon will have to prove to himself that love can open the doors to trust, that history won't repeat itself if he lets Lacie into more than just his bed, and that there's no force on Earth that will keep him from solving this case and protecting them all.

Lacie Hill is being haunted by multiple people. When her father witnesses one of the men accosting her he hires Pierce Securities to watch out for her. Lacie isn't stupid, for which I was impressed and glad for, so when Simon shows up she can tell something is up and is grateful for the protection once the truth comes out. She also isn't one to run scared either, so she does her best to live her life as she would if the threat weren't there. But being tugged to and fro by Simon's hot/cold reactions to their chemistry she's left confused, vulnerable, and then when the stalking gets worse, she's becoming increasingly frustrated and scared. There's a lot that weighs on her and Simon is actually making things worse. I admire her inner strength and her ability to compartmentalize is useful, wise, and a healthy coping mechanism. She goes a bit far sometimes, but for the most part I think she's smart and resourceful.

Simon Pierce, on the other hand, for all his control, rules, and rigidity, is running scared. Scared of his past coming back in the form of another woman, scared of his feelings, scared of failure, scared of his enemies. While it's not apparent on the outside, when we get the full story about his background and his frustration concerning the team members' relationships with their clients it becomes obvious that his vulnerability pervades everything he thinks and does. I do like Simon. I think his vulnerability is something that makes him attractive, someone worth healing and loving. And Lacie is the perfect partner for him in that regard. What I don't particularly enjoy is his priggish attitude at times. The way he treats Lacie in the beginning gives me hope, the way he treats her after he realizes he's attracted to her crushes it. There's something about Simon that bothered me in this story that I wasn't expecting and I can't even put my finger on it. He vacillated a bit too much for me and his treatment of Lacie was disappointing more often than not.

But together, when Lacie wasn't willing to put up with Simon's retreat and confronted him, they became so much more. Lacie's inner strength drew out Simon's and I loved where they ended up. Each of them had strengths and weaknesses that made them ideal partners for one another.

The drama of this story brings the case against Jonas to a close. Finally! Each confrontation without truly being a confrontation was really good at ramping up the tension. Connections were all over the place but missing one piece, just one thing that would bring it all together. The final confrontation was big, emotional, and harrowing. The interrogation was disturbing and actually quite perfect to finally get the answers into a little of Jonas' twisted, sick mind. Answers. That's really what this novel offered more than any of the others. We finally see where everything was heading, the why's of all the trauma and drama, and the reality of what they were all facing. At last we see it all. Including the happiness. Having their barbecue at Ryan's place was the right way to bring it all together. Food, family, hopeful announcements, Simon's softer side, and most of all, happiness and peace.

Ahhh, Simon Pierce. I love his broody disposition, his rules, and his soft side. He is a man who has been hurt, betrayed, and made to question everyone. However, this new case could be the medicine he needs to move on with his life and find his way to a happy life.

Lacie Hill (Yoga Girl), a free spirit who has been targeted for some reason and things are escalating, but she doesn't see it. Her father, Mr. Hill, is the Superintendent of the school that Lacie works in as a Kindergarten teacher. Lacie happens to be a work, when she receives dead flowers addressed to Yoga Girl, and she throws them away. Her father is also in the office and notices them. He knows about the two previous attacks and now this. He is worried about his only daughter getting killed. Mr. Hill hires Pierce Securities to protect his daughter and find out who is targeting her and why. Simon doesn't want to be the one to take the case, but all of his employees are otherwise occupied, so he it. Taking a job working at the school with Lacie, Simon will be close by her should anything happen, he will also move into the vacant house across the street from hers.

Little does Simon know that this case will help him solve another major case that he has been working on to protect his little sister.

The connections in this case to other cases in Pierce Securities will put all of the team in danger, but they are not strangers to hard work and life threatening situations. This could be the case to end the whole team though. Can Simon live with that? Will his team come through and show him that they are resilient and stronger than he thinks?

This story is great! I love the Pierce Security Team, as well as this series. I give this book a 5 star review. I highly recommend that you read the entire series and get to know the team.

Lacie, a kindergarten teacher, has a stalker. She's not sure why she's being targeted or by whom. Each attack or break-in is a little different, but the men all refer to her as "Yoga Girl". They know her every move and she's not sure how. Her father, not willing to lose his only child, hires Pierce Securities to be her bodyguards.

Simon, head of Pierce Securities, doesn't typically take on bodyguard jobs or take lead position in the field. But all of his men are busy with other cases and he senses the urgency in Lacie's dads face. Simon sets up residence in the house across the street from Lacie and is her new classroom assistant, vowing to NOT become emotionally involved in the case. Simon's been there before and almost lost his life in the process.

Lacie quickly realizes Simon isn't a true "assistant". His awkwardness with the kids is adorable! As Lacie and Simon work together in class and to solve the crime, Simon fights his attraction to Lacie. He can't quite seem to let go of his past. Then, his past blasts into his future intent on destroying what he didn't even know he had....Lacie's love.

I loved that Simon's story was finally told! Such a fitting ending to the series. Although this novel can be read as a stand alone, one would definitely benefit from reading the previous novels. I enjoyed Lacie's ability to peel back the layers that make Simon who he is. She's not put off by his gruffness, realizing there's a "why" behind it. The suspense nearly killed me at the end!!! Action packed. I was shocked with the "V" twist as well. I didn't see that coming. I highly recommend this novel! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

ECHO is the ninth book in the Pierce Securities series. Each stands on its own, but it is definitely better to read all and in the order of release.

Grabbed my attention from the first page and never let go!

Time after time, we’ve listened to Simon tell his men not to give in to romance on a job… and one by one they have done exactly that. Each has found his true love while protecting them from the bad guys. Simon would never break his own rule, right? He must have a reason for that rule, right? Oh boy, does he! It’s heartbreaking and chilling. Then he meets Lacie and it is inevitable that he will find that all rules are meant to be broken at some time.

Lacie is a sweetheart. She is exactly what you think of when you think kindergarten teacher – sweet, kind, tolerant, but also firm and yet resilient. There was no way that Simon could resist her. Thank God, because she is so perfect for him.

It is always sad to say good-bye to a series, but these men of Pierce Securities have already shown up in some of the other series, so I’m sure it’s not the last we’ve heard from them. Until next our paths cross, safe journeys, my friends!

Note: while I was given this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Character Development:
Brilliant! I love Lacie - she’s selfless, infuriatingly so at times, dedicated to her job and those around her without regard for her own well being.
Simon - the man has been somewhat of a mystery up til now, so I’m stoked to get his book! Who isn’t? It’s what we’ve been waiting for, right? What we have seen of him though, has paved the way for the man he is, as we come to learn, so the continuity is brilliant and the character development level is advanced for sure.
I find myself relating to them both for different reasons, and know early in that this’ll be my favorite in this series.
Fans of this series will be pleased to know we get a taste of all the other men and Deena Rae in this one - I enjoyed every second.

Overall:
Off the bat, we’ve got drama, and we can tell it’ll lead to action, with more drama mixed in, so I’m hooked! A fast-paced read, and it’s mildly tainted by the nagging knowledge that this is the last in this glorious series.

This one has some darkness that makes it all more real, that I’m in love with. And at times, we get the POV of the antagonist, which is incredibly fun and somewhat enlightening if you’ve followed this series since Craze.

I’ve looked forward to this book - Simon’s since Book 1 in this series and it did not disappoint, somehow. Overall, 4 stars. Kept me hooked right until the end. Wishing for more of this series.

Cover: Gorgeous.
Fitting.

Formatting:
Beautiful as always. These are really pretty books, both in print and ebooks.

*I won’t comment on the editing/proofing since I primarily read ARCs.

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

I HAVE A NEW FAVORITE BOOK IN THE PIERCE SECURITY SERIES AND ITS ECHO!! I have a SERIOUS thing for leaders and as the boss man of Pierce Securities, I had a full on crush on him for A LOOOONG time and to finally get his story was INCREDIBLE, SEXY, PASSIONATE, ACTION-PACKED and had the most toe curling sex and heart racing suspense.

I have been wondering who Simon's woman would be, but I never imagined she would be a teacher. Lacie is shy, beautiful, brave with a very sweet personality. Her instant attraction to Simon had me leaning closer to my kindle. And his instant liking to her as well as all his protective urges that rises within him had me almost jealous of Lacie. I tore into this book with high expectations and I am so happy to say, Echo EXCEEDED EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! I LOVED IT TO PIECES! It was thrilling, ultra hot with loads of heat and lots of action, danger and suspense...my absolute favorite kind of romance to read! Anne Conley I think outdid herself with Echo. I couldn't of imagined Simon's story to be any better.

Echo gets a FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC TEN AMAZINGLY BRIGHT SHOOTING STARS!

A passionate action packed romance!

Echo is the ninth book in the Pierce Securities series that is full of action and romance. A well-written and intriguing story that includes several interesting twists. There was just enough romance and action to keep my interest piqued. Anne Conley did a good job of building up the action and keeping my attention. The characters are well developed and engaging. Anne did a great job of intertwining the different characters of the series throughout the story including adding a character from another series. This was a great conclusion to the series and to Simon’s story.

Another good book by Anne Conley that does not disappoint. I recommend Echo to anyone that enjoys an action packed romance that will keep you entertained from the beginning to the end. This story is a standalone however once you read it you will want to go back and read them all.

What a great thriller this is! The series is new to me, but I shall be reading the first eight books.

How much can one woman take? Attacked in her home twice, on the end of threatening messages, and even more disturbing encounters, Lacie is in danger....

Cue Pierce Securities where the only member of the team is Simon, the boss, determined never to fall in love again, control freak extraordinaire.....

The plot is well paced, and there are twists and turns enough to satisfy even die hard thriller fans.

The big question though is....will Simon unbend enough to have a relationship with Lacie? There are starts, false starts, and twists in their love life....will they achieve a HEA? Not telling, but I enjoyed this book immensely!

Simon

Last book finally Simon finds love. This series has had a storyline following every book as we watch each member find love, it finally comes to a end when they come across the same guy who wants Bonnie after Simon love interest.there was a few mistakes in this one at the end of book 8 it's told that Tanya holds a gun to his chin when inside her and he saw his boot close by and grabbed his knife. This book it's him with a gun.also no Jason in this series his name is jake.
This series is good a HEA ending but there was a lot of rape, it was a little to much I think, all there women was attacked in some way,I thought it was a little to much.
I think there is two other series that links to this in the same world so might find crissover.but did not meet characters just heard guys talking about the town's

Echo is Book 9 in the Pierce Security Series. I have been following Anne's books for a while and she is an amazing writer.

Each book in the series is about one of the men who work at the security firm and the woman they spend their time with. Echo is about Simon and a girl named Lacie who he is hired to protect. Simon is very reserved, broody and strict. We find out about his past in this book and I can understand now why he is the way he is.

Simon's #1 rule is to stay professional and not cross the line. Will he be able to follow his own rule in Echo or are rules meant to be broken?

I highly recommend reading the series in order so there are no spoilers for you. I am so sad that this is the end of the series but, hope there will be a reunion book in the future.

At long last... Simons story... but this also marks the end of the Pierce Security Men...but I have a feeling they will pop in here and there elsewhere.
A father comes in looking for protection for his daughter Lacie, men keep attacking her and no one knows why. Lacie is a kindergarten teacher with no enemies and a sunny disposition. Simon really doesn't want to take the case, the rest of team are all out on assignments and the only one left is him. He senses the desperation in the father and takes it. Simon Ends up going undercover as a kindergarten room aide, which in itself gave me quite a good chuckle...
Lacie is the perfect woman for Simon, but he refuses to let himself get involved with her....
I enjoyed Simons story, and it was a perfect ending to a great series!

Echo
Main Characters: Lacie & Simon
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
5 out of 5 stars
Alright so I am a very backwards person. This is the first book I have read by this author and it looks like it is the last in this series. Bummer is all I can say. I thought this was a fantastic book and now I absolutely have to go and read the first 8 books. There is plenty of suspense, mystery, great chemistry and a romance with a wonderful story to it. Not sure how I found this author. (Probably from a raffle) I love romance books but so often they do not contain a good enough story to go along with all the great sex. This book will not disappoint you.

Amazing! Love everything about Lacie and Simon, bitter sweet that the series is ended but what a way to go. Action, adventure, suspense and crimes to be solved. Lacie is the perfect fit for the control freak Simon. The mix of these two with the back and forth pull of wanting to be with her but also wanting to protect her will draw you in and keep you hooked. Each new book is my favorite, you'll also get to see a great conclusion for the characters you've some to love since book one. And if you're like me you'll want to reread the series right after you finish. I voluntarily reviewed an 'Advance Author’s Copy' of this book.

Lacie is a kindergarten teacher with a problem. Her father hires Pierce Securities to keep an eye on her and try to figure out why all these men are bothering her. Simon puts all of his work on hold to try to figure out who is targeting Lacie. Simon tries to keep Lacie's case professional, but his feelings keep getting in the way. When they finally figure out what's going on, things escalate in several different ways.

FINALLY, Simon gets his own HEA! We have been waiting for this story for so long and I was not disappointed. This was my favorite of the whole series.

This is my first time in reading this author with the contents calling me since I do love to read books such as these. Only concern was at first that it is in a series with some out all ready but the author and characters speak for themselves. This centers around Lacie and Simon with each having strong personalities. I do so like reading the boss man getting his especially when they least expect or want. The drama level is superb with pulling you to the edge more than once. Their hearts might race in this one but so will yours. This author kept me engaged so I would read more from her.

This is one bittersweet book as the Pierce Securities comes to an end with book 9 - Echo. I really enjoyed reading this one and took my time with it because I didn't want it to end. Anne Conley had me hooked from the first book and what a journey it has been. I still have a couple books from this series to read but couldn't wait to start reading Echo. Simon and Lacie. Oh Lordy, where to begin! Fans have been waiting for Simon’s story and now it’s here. Simon always reminds me of the game Simon Says, he’s that strict in control guy with tons of rules. Lacie, she enters into his orderly life and shakes things up. She doesn’t play by his rules. Which I absolutely love! I loved the dynamics between these two! Add in the trilling ride or Lacies stalkers? You’ve got the perfect combo for a fast paced read every mystery fan will love.

Simon Pierce has always had a “no sex with the client” rule. He is the last guy to meet that certain someone. Laci is being stalked by...a few men. Right?? How does someone get stalked by more than 1 guy?? I am a sucker for a good stalker book, and this story has ALOT of twists and turns. I was gripped all the way to the end!! Whew!! I LOVE this book and hope it’s not the end of the series.

A great read. It’s suspenseful, mysterious and action packed. It will sucks you in from the beginning as it keeps you glued to the edge of your seat. It has great characters you will love. The connection and chemistry between the characters is sizzling and steamy. Great storyline. A must read. A great addition to this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
