Over and under

The science in this book was over my head...I skimmed through it and have no idea of its accuracy. The sources were named in the text: there was no reference page that I noticed. The spelling, grammar and punctuation got under my skin. Society is desperate for safe treatment of pain, addiction, anxiety, and the many other ills that Kratom could likely be the answer for. Literature that is not well written is less likely to be taken seriously. I do appreciate that the author took time to share his knowledge; I doubt he could afford an editor. The book seems factual and unbiased.

I ran across this book while doing investigative nursing research on global and public health usage of Kratom. Basically, I skimmed through text to get a sense of the information being published for the general public to read about this non-FDA approved herbal supplement (which mainly comes from Southeast Asia / Tropical regions throughout the world. When it comes to Kratom being used as a dietary supplement, there are still too many “unknowns.” As it stands there is a lengthy list of risks and serious adverse effects, which could negatively impact communities and harm individuals.

This book is one of the most informative and interesting books which I have yet to read. Much scientific research and information about Kratom will be found within the pages. Not just recipes and colors of leaves...but practical and easily understandable by ANYONE curious regarding Kratom and it's MANY benefits to mankind- a definite reader!
