From Audrey Carlan, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Calendar Girl series.
San Francisco, California. Steam is rising fast in the City by the Bay.
I’ve been hired to find a love match for a stunning, powerful, and lonely CEO. She’s through with being mined by gold diggers who only want her money and her body. She’s looking for love.
Imagine my surprise when my business partner Royce offers himself up on a silver platter, a move that could ruin everything we’ve built—our friendship, International Guy’s reputation—and even Royce’s heart.
The thing is…he’s all wrong for her, and I know it. Royce wants to settle down, but this client is most certainly not that kind of woman.
I decide to let things play out. A man has to learn his own truths—just because you want something doesn’t mean you can have it.
About the Series
Parker Ellis, CEO of International Guy Inc., advises the wealthiest people in the world on life and love. And sometimes he can’t help it when things heat up and he ends up in bed with his clients.
This International Guy knows that there’s a whole world waiting for him. But as he goes from city to city—and from woman to woman—it’s possible that he just might find his own love along the way…
This is the fifth book in a twelve-novella series.
This one had a cute main story (finding love for a CEO) and I still liked the "other main" story with Skyler and Parker, even though it was hard because... well you just have to read to find out :D
The ending was a bit though, so I am curious as to what happens now :)
Back with another great read from the International Guys San Francisco gives us the change to get to know Royce when the gang head off to do some matchmaking. There are a few twists and turns in this episode and this where we see Parker at his best dealing with a client whilst trying to deal with issues of his own, his soulmate needs him and he needs to be there for her. This instalment left me in tears another emotion I wasn’t expecting.
This one shocked me 4.5 stars.Wow what a way to end this one. It needed more drama and she gave it to us towards the end. Poor Royce thought he found the girl who could be his one. He is tired of waiting and being home alone. I can't wait until he finds his one.
I love all the differences in these books but how they all tie together too. I love the budding relationship between Sky and Parker and can't wait to see what happens next.
Things get really serious in this book. Not only do we start to get to know one of the men of International Guy better (finally), but there's a new problem Sky and Parker have to face. Their relationship is nothin but problems and they need to work on their reactions to everything! This ends on a low note, unfortunately.
I love all Audrey Carlan’s work and this is no exception. IG San Francisco is a shocking and amazing installment that had me wincing and chuckling, grinning and face-palming, squealing in delight and wanting to throw my kindle into the wall (for two separate reasons). Audrey never fails to take me on that damn emotional rollercoaster!
Let me make one thing clear. Royce. Is. Mine. A certain trick needs to step off. Well, that last part is no longer a worry, but holy hell, I was so mad I threw my Kindle.
I admit that I actually enjoyed watching Park battle being stuck between what he feels and knows is right and trying to let his brother “learn his own truths”. I enjoyed it simply because I wasn’t in his place. Park deserves serious props for the immense love and protectiveness he has for his brother. Honestly, I kept waiting for one of them to completely lose their mind. And in true Audrey fashion, she showed what real, grown brothers do. Gah I loved it!
Audrey Carlan never fails to provide incredible scenarios and characters who are full of life and many different angles. And what she gives them at the end of each installment? *sigh* Now onto the next one, please!
Audrey Carlan is pulling out all the stops up in Cali when Royce meets Rochelle. Each installment gets better and better and AC pulls me in every time like I am right there in the room with all of them. It is exciting to see Royce more up close and personal. He has such a sexy swagger and I love his deep voice that I swear I can hear out loud and not just in my head.
Chelle is a hard core all business woman that sometimes hooks up for pleasure. While you go thru her adventure to find her mate, you will get so much more then that. I loved getting to explore Parker and his brother Royce relationship and the fierce protectiveness that Parker conveys. I adore the relationship these brothers have with each other even though they made me crazy sometimes. You can feel the love these siblings have for each other flow through the pages and grab your heart and not let go.
There is drama, thievery, heartbreak, blackmail, love, and lust lost. I laughed, I cringed, I got giddy with excitement, I wanted to knock some heads together and I may have wanted to throw my kindle a time or two. Just when you think you've seen it all, Audrey pulls out a whopper of a twist. Hold onto your hats you are in for a delicious, angst filled ride.❤️
Parker and Royce are heading to San Francisco, helping a wealthy client to find a man. Royce had a flirty smirk on his face which to me and I know Parker noticed spells trouble. Royce has done his homework and seems to know everything about Rochelle their client. The chemistry between Royce and Rochelle is palatable. As Rochelle list her must have, one leaves Royce out of the running. Parker not keen on Royce lusting after Rochelle but seriously what can he do, he slept with two of their client, one being Skyler. I do like Parker and Skyler in this one they seem to have find their groove. The job was successful and a job well done. They found the client a good man. However things are not so well for Parker and Skyler. I did find I liked guys in this story, always there for each other and treat each other like brothers
Oh my gosh, what a bunch of drama wrapped up in one awesome book.
The owner of a company is in need of finding her mate, she’s lonely and needs her man by her side so she called in the IG team, and boy do they help.
Roy in this one had my entire heart, that man is pure kindness and love and honestly he deserves everything good in his life. He’d make the perfect husband to the right woman.
We’re treated to a bunch of drama in this book. A delusional woman, a sick SICK man and damn, it had me left NEEDING MORE.
the ending with Parker and Skyler is breaking my heart, gah. Now onto the next book.
San Fransisco was interesting, especially because it brought more depth to the characters - both the main characters and the secondary characters feel more real to me now.
This time it's not Parker potentially falling for the client... but another IG. Luckily Parker is there to help his brother out. The guys are hired to play matchmakers to a successful and beautiful woman at the top of her game.... but sometimes, what we are searching for is right under our noses....
From the brilliant mind of Audrey Carlan, comes another beautifully crafted instalment in the International Guy series that kept me glued to my kindle. House work and all those responsible adult things didn’t exist during the perfect hours I binge read all three of these novellas back to back and loved every. Damn. Second.
I adore the female characters, Skylar especially because she’s awesome and a total badass, and Wendy is an absolute sweetheart, they’re both such independent, strong women and that’s really important for book characters (it’s also something AC flawlessly executes with every book and one of the many reasons she’s an inspiration to me). But we also get to see more of Sofie which was awesome, I love seeing her development from Paris to now, it’s so heart warming!
And we’ve already established that the three IG men are completely swoon inducing and they make for an intensely sexy read! Parker, Bo and Royce are utter perfection and I’m left disappointed that they can’t be real. ALTHOUGH we see a much less flawlessly Parker in this volume which made him feel more three dimensional and real to me, and even though at times I was frustrated with him and cursing my kindle, it made for an even more gripping read.
But really AC? You’re ending Montreal like that? Really? How the hell do I wait for London?! That ending was CRUEL, CRUEL I TELL YOU. But seriously read this series, it’s addictive and captivating and the chemistry between Parker and Skylar is hot enough to make your kindle (or you) explode! So how’s about Volume 3 now yeah? Audrey. Volume 3? Please? Yeah, cool
San Francisco is Book 5 in the International Guy series.
This one was just not for me. The story seemed disjointed and lacking direction. Parker seemed to be heavily distracted by his personal life in this book, yet somehow he was still able to complete the job his new client Rachelle hired him for, he also found the time to meddle in Royce's love life, and be hypocritical while doing that.
His rush to get back to New York and Skyler was all for nothing, and Skyler's chapter at the end was the icing on the cake. These two really need to learn how to communicate with words, and not always be jumping to conclusions.
It seems like Montreal is up next for Parker, and hopefully he and Skyler can take some time to get some perspective on their relationship.
Royce and Parker are headed to Cali to do matchmaking. They should have it well in hand until Royce finds himself smitten with the delectable Rochelle. Too bad her list seems to disqualify him. The IG guys are nothing if not professionals though and if a match is what she wants a match is what she’ll have. Matchmaker matchmaker make her a match her her a find catch her a IG man catch her an IG man.
The three best friends in the series add charm and charisma to stories that may not be the most exciting. I love the way the author blends sex, love and romance for maximum effect, and I hope all three men find the loves of their lives.
This book was not for me. The POC perspective but not own voices didn't work for me, nor did the telling of the story from male viewpoints. It all felt distant and it was hard for me to care what happened to the characters.
