I am a bit unsure, if I wanted to give this book 4* or 3*
Edit as of March 2021. After rereading I have to go down to 3* on this book. I just realised that even Nate and Rachel had kids later on. So that means ALL of the "main" characters just HAD to have kids in order to be happy? We never saw that they expressed interest in kids, why not just leave 1 couple child-free? It just send the wrong message to me...
Pros:
- Overall if was a good story, even though a bit sappy
- I LOVED the going "3 years later", "5 years later" etc
- Skyler and Parker's ending is just beautiful
Cons:
- We started to hear about Royce and Kendra, but in the future, we know nothing
- Parker got a bit out of character in the way he behaved sometimes
- I really don't understand the meaning with the story about the look-a-like of Skyler
And then the biggest mistake for me... Parker ended up wanting kids with Skyler, no problem. Royce wants a family.. no problem... but Bo!! Bo was happy being without a girlfriend and kids, but she just HAD to give him a child, and later on a whole family? Why could'ent she leave Bo without kids, whats wrong with that?
Dont misunderstand me, I dont mind kids at all, but not EVERYONE needs them to be happy in their life and Bo would have been happy without them. Maybe he could have meet a girl that he would love.. but whats wrong about being single or childfree? (note, I am not single, I just dont believe that everyone needs that ending)
+ We dont get to hear about that either.. maybe because she wants to write more books about Bo, Royce and Wendy as I have understood from other reviews? Still, if she dont make them.. thats a bad way of ending the books... rant over...

Oh my gosh, this was the perfect ending to this entire series.
I love love love that this was filled with happiness and love and barely any drama because one needs a little drama to be entertained haha.
Los Angeles brings us a dating show, a dating show that ends up being so much more than just that. There’s surprises in store for some of the guys and damn, they truly are surprises. You’ll love them.
I’m so happy I’ve had the honour of meeting Skyler and Parker. They’ve quickly become favourites along with Roy, Bo, Wendy, Mick, Paul, Denny, Rachel, Nate and Kendra.
The only thing I didn’t like was not getting more info on the Bo situation because I would have loved to know more about that!
Any way, all in all it’s been absolute fun reading these!

It is sad to say that this is the end to International Guy. I have grown a connection with this series. Audrey Carlan makes you feel like you are part of the International Guy family. It has been an amazing roller coaster.

The sweet ending that has me heart broken because I don’t want it to end. I love what Sky does to proof that she is ready and in love. This installment is about closures. Closures with all characters and I cannot wait to see what happens with Bo.

As I finished this book and series I am full of mixed emotions. Sad to see it end and because it did so beautifully. Yes I did cry a few times. Who couldn't with the love Parker and Sky have for eachother. This series is addicting because you end of loving the characters so much. Well except for one character lol.
This book is full of suspense, laughter, love, great steamy sex, and family. Thankful for Netgalley giving me this book. Thankful for the author what beautiful writing. Plus I am crossing my fingers that she gets inspired to write Bo and Royce story soon.

The final book in this great series of novellas
The final instalment and what a way to end a series, this book brings all the other 11 books together as we see truths come to light from people the team and Skylar trusted. We get to attend a wedding and we get to learn a bit more about Royce and Bo which hopefully means more books about them and this series would not be complete if Parker and Skylar didn’t get the HEA they so deserve and what a perfect ending for the couple we have all come to love over these 12 books.

Et voici le dernier tome de la série « International Guy ».
Nous allons suivre Parker et ses acolytes dans leur toute dernière mission qui va les emmener à Los Angeles. Ils doivent donner des conseils pour aider toute l’équipe d’une nouvelle émission télévisée de rencontres.
Cette mission devait être rapide car Parker ne veut pas rester trop loin de Skyler après les derniers évènements survenus. Sauf que les choses ne vont pas se dérouler comme prévues…
Quoi de mieux qu’un thème un peu plus léger pour clôturer cette saga ?
Une émission de télévision qui allie télé-réalité et rencontres, c’est clairement dans l’air du temps. Le planning est prêt, Parker part avec Royce pour la ville des anges sans se douter une seule seconde qu’il va être piégé.
Je dois l’avouer, j’ai deviné très rapidement ce qu’il allait se passer. En même temps, Audrey CARLAN ne cache pas les indices. Je dirais même qu’elle en met exprès pour que le lecteur soit lui aussi très rapidement dans la confidence. Ce secret n’est pas gardé longtemps car au final, ce qui est amusant, c’est de voir dans quelle situation se retrouve Parker bien malgré lui. Il aime tout contrôler et finalement ici c’est un peu l’arroseur arrosé.
Sincèrement, ce tome un peu léger est le bienvenu après tous les évènements qu’ont vécus les personnages.
On sait qui en voulait à Skyler et malheureusement, cette personne s’en ait aussi prise à des proches de la jeune femme. Il y a eu de gros dégâts, les séquelles sont encore lourds, mais ils veulent tous aller de l’avant et vivre un futur rayonnant.
Au-delà de cela, ce douzième tome n’apporte pas grand-chose à la série en général, juste un vrai final au couple que forment Skyler et Parker. C’est plus une manière de leur dire au revoir et de passer à autre chose.
Concernant la série dans son intégralité, j’avoue ne pas être à cent pour cent satisfaite.
Les tomes s’enchaînent et le niveau pour moi des différents opus était en dents de scie. Il y a autant des tomes que j’ai appréciés, d’autres moins et encore d’autres que j’ai trouvé sans grand intérêt. Heureusement, chaque opus est petit et se dévore rapidement. Ce format va très bien à l’auteur puisqu’elle a repris la formule qui a marché pour « Calendar Girl », avec douze tomes pour tenir en haleine le lecteur sur une année complète.
Je n’ai pas lu « Calendar Girl », mais je peux dire que cette formule pour « International Guy » a atteint pour moi ses limites. J’ai trouvé que l’histoire tournait très vite en rond, que c’était les mêmes problématiques qui revenaient sur le tapis et que le couple Skyler/Parker était beaucoup trop présent. Cette redondance n’aurait certainement pas été présente si leur histoire était en un seul et même tome. Même si on est sur une série qui comporte douze volumes, on n’a pas le temps d’oublier ce qu’il se passe entre chaque tome et cette impression de répétition en est qu’accentuée.
Ce qui m’a également un peu déçue, c’est le fait que ça ne soit pas l’histoire des « International Guy », mais l’histoire de juste l’un d’entre eux : Parker. Alors j’adore ce personnage, mais ce n’était pas ce qui était vraiment annoncé sur le papier. Je m’attendais vraiment à découvrir aussi ses deux acolytes, ou tout du moins tout autant que Parker. Au vu du final de ce douzième tome, je me doute bien que Audrey CARLAN pourrait nous offrir des séries sur ces deux personnages. Mais ici, j’ai trouvé que le titre ne correspondait pas forcément à ce que l’on retrouve dans les livres, ou alors il aurait fallu préciser d’entrée de jeu qu’elle n’allait concerner que Parker.
Ce qui a été agréable avec cette saga, c’est le fait d’avoir des tomes courts qui permettent de souffler entre deux lectures, un peu à la manière d’une série télévisée. On se pose quelques heures avec le nouveau tome et on attend le mois suivant pour connaître la suite. En cela, cette série a l’avantage de mettre une pause dans notre vie et nos lectures.
Par contre, j’espère que Audrey CARLAN ne repartira pas sur des séries de douze tomes pour Royce et pour Bo, parce que je ne vois pas ce qu’elle pourrait apporter de plus concernant l’entreprise « International Guy ». On a déjà fait plus que le tour avec Parker et repartir sur des missions serait lassant. Je verrais bien plus des hors-série pour clôturer leur histoire également.
En conclusion, « International Guy, tome 12 : Los Angeles » termine la série sur une note toute en légèreté. Audrey CARLAN n’a pas épargné ses personnages tout au long de sa saga, passant par des moments de joie et par d’autres beaucoup plus terribles. Même si la série était pour moi assez inégale, je ne peux qu’avouer que chaque titre me permettait de souffler entre deux lectures. C’est frais, c’est léger, mais la série a quand même quelques défauts.

This book brings the series full circle and omg it made me deliriously happy for the whole IG team and their families!
Its amazing that after 12 stories that the team have made a huge impression on my heart and soul! I think its a real credit to the author that she could put together a series that had uplifting words, a real sense of love and family and strength of heart in all of the characters!
Los Angeles is where Parker and Royce head to for a new tv reality show but underneath it all Sky has something up her sleeve and thats all I will say! Ill leave you to be surprised!
An ending so good it will leave you with a happy heart that is full of joy!

International Guy conclue mon expérience avec Audrey Carlan. J’aurais tenté 2 séries qui au final ne m’auront pas du tout plus. Beaucoup de défauts, des choses complètement grotesques, et une image de la femme assez ridicule.
Dommage car j’aime beaucoup la new romance. C’est un genre avec ses codes et ici ils ne me correspondent pas ... la fin est est également bâclée, la conclusion ne traite que de Parker et Skylar sans mentionner le reste de leurs amis.
Déçue.

If I could rate this 0 stars I would. This is how we end a 12 book series?! I’m truly offended. We get no closer with Roy + Kendra, Bo gets a subpar relationship plot point with NO conclusion and we don’t even get to know Wendy’s kid’s name? It ruined the series for me. Can’t wait to delete off the kindle.

Le mois dernier en terminant International Guy, tome 11, j'avais de nombreuses attentes concernant cette fin. Il faut dire que notre couple phare, Parker / Skyler a eu le droit à une happy-end digne de ce nom alors j'avais vraiment envie de voir se terminer aussi joliment celles de Royce, Bo, Wendey & Rachel. Un dernier tome a toujours une petite pression supplémentaire puisqu'il est question de faire nos adieux à des personnages que l'on a suivi durant un an.
Malheureusement, cela a été la grosse déception. Pire que cela même, je crois n'avoir rien apprécié durant ce tome si ce n'est un détail au milieu. Je ne vais pas être tendre parce que j'en attendais tellement que la déception est cuisante.
Ce douzième et ultime tome de International Guy débute avec le mariage de Wendy & Mick quelques mois après les événements du tome 11 avec Tracey. Je m'attendais vraiment à être emballée par cet événement qui est finalement bouclé en quelques lignes et honnêtement, je n'ai rien ressenti du tout. J'ai eu la sensation que ce grand moment de rassemblement entre toute la bande n'avait finalement pas d'intérêt...
Pour ce qui est de notre couple, Parker / Skyler , eh bien comme à leur habitude, ils sont insatiables et les quelques moments d'intimité qu'ils ont, ils les passent à poils, à plusieurs reprises. Vous savez déjà ce que je pense des scènes de sexe à répétition qui n'apportent rien alors nous passerons sur ce sujet.
Cette nouvelle mission à Los Angeles n'a vraiment aucun intérêt pour l'histoire si ce n'est ce qu'il se cache derrière ce fameux projet. Si l'initiative de Skyler est intéressante (c'est le seul détail qui m'a plu), le déroulement de celle-ci est totalement... invraisemblable. Je n'y ai pas cru une seule seconde.

Le mois dernier en terminant International Guy, tome 11, j'avais de nombreuses attentes concernant cette fin. Il faut dire que notre couple phare, Parker / Skyler a eu le droit à une happy-end digne de ce nom alors j'avais vraiment envie de voir se terminer aussi joliment celles de Royce, Bo, Wendey & Rachel. Un dernier tome a toujours une petite pression supplémentaire puisqu'il est question de faire nos adieux à des personnages que l'on a suivi durant un an.
Malheureusement, cela a été la grosse déception. Pire que cela même, je crois n'avoir rien apprécié durant ce tome si ce n'est un détail au milieu. Je ne vais pas être tendre parce que j'en attendais tellement que la déception est cuisante.
Ce douzième et ultime tome de International Guy débute avec le mariage de Wendy & Mick quelques mois après les événements du tome 11 avec Tracey. Je m'attendais vraiment à être emballée par cet événement qui est finalement bouclé en quelques lignes et honnêtement, je n'ai rien ressenti du tout. J'ai eu la sensation que ce grand moment de rassemblement entre toute la bande n'avait finalement pas d'intérêt...
Pour ce qui est de notre couple, Parker / Skyler , eh bien comme à leur habitude, ils sont insatiables et les quelques moments d'intimité qu'ils ont, ils les passent à poils, à plusieurs reprises. Vous savez déjà ce que je pense des scènes de sexe à répétition qui n'apportent rien alors nous passerons sur ce sujet.
Cette nouvelle mission à Los Angeles n'a vraiment aucun intérêt pour l'histoire si ce n'est ce qu'il se cache derrière ce fameux projet. Si l'initiative de Skyler est intéressante (c'est le seul détail qui m'a plu), le déroulement de celle-ci est totalement... invraisemblable. Je n'y ai pas cru une seule seconde.

L aventure des international Guy se termine donc avec cet ultime épisode qui met un terme à cette saga mais juste pour Skyler et Parler puisque Audrey Carlan va écrire des tomes sur Bo, Royce et Wendy. Cela risque donc d être intéressant notamment pour les deux autres IG dont nous ne savons pas grand chose .
la saga se termine sur un tome bien plus léger et plus doux après les menaces , les doutes et les dangers. L'amour sous toutes ses formes est au cœur de cette dernière intrigue et j'ai passé un bon moment de lectures avec Parker et Skyler . J'attends de voir ce qu Audrey Carlan nous réserve donc pour les autres membres de international Guy

Avec ce tome, il est temps de dire au revoir à Parker, Skyler, l’équipe d’International Guy et leurs amis.
Cette fois c’est à Los Angeles que Parker et Royce vont aller effectuer leur mission. Il ne se doutent pas que celle-ci est très spéciale puisque c’est Skyler qui a tout prévu pour eux… mais ça ils ne le savent pas…
Ils vont devoir aider des candidats d’une émission de télé-réalité et même si ce n’est pas la mission la plus passionnante de la série, je dois dire que cela m’a bien plu quand même !

Clairement, LE tome qui ne sert à rien. C'est juste un très très long épilogue à l'ensemble de la série.
L'histoire de Parker et Skyler est tracée d'avance, seule la méthode est à découvrir, alors que les scènes de sexe sont très (trop) longues et bien plus (trop) nombreuses que dans les tomes précédents. Et que retenir de leurs discours respectifs, qu'ils parlent d'amour ou qu'ils dispensent des conseils par forcément demandés, qui sont d'une mièvrerie à pleurer.
Enfin, on reste sur notre faim au sujet de certains personnages secondaire (Bo, le couple Royce/Kendra).
Je ne dirais pas que je n'ai pas aimé, mais je n'ai juste vu aucun intérêt à cet opus.

This book is everything!!! As much as I didn’t want this series to end...you will not be disappointed with the way Audrey Carlson left the IG team. I sure hope some tidbits we were left with is a hint of more to come some day...

J'ai apprécié ce tome et cette saga en général, même si certaines phrases m'ont parfois dérangées. Cependant c'est quoi cette fin ? J'etais à fond dans l'histoire de Bo et celle de Royce mais en fait on a pas de fin pour eux. Je suis déçu même si l'histoire de ce tome était bien, l'auteure s'est laissée une énorme possibilité pour écrire une suite, ou un tome compagnon selon moi.

Je suis un peu déçue de la façon utilisée pour finir l’histoire des 3 gars. La fin aurait pu être mieux fait, beaucoup d’histoires assez importantes restent sans nouvelle. Malgré tout le livre est plaisant à lire.

Dopo l'inferno che hanno affrontato, Parker e Skyler sono più uniti che mai. Raccogliendo i cocci delle loro certezze, sono pronti a iniziare la loro vita insieme. Un lavoro porta Parker lontano da Skyler per la prima volta dopo molto tempo, ma ancora non sa cosa lo attende nella città degli angeli.
Per me va bene.
È finita, questa serie infinita, quindi a me va bene tutto. Era necessario questo ultimo volume? No. Lo ha voluto scrivere per dare una degna conclusione a Parker e Skyler? In parte. La loro storia senza dubbio non ha altro da darci quindi è giusto salutarli; dall'altra parte si apre la strada per degli spin off su Royce e Bo (eventualmente non so se avrò mai la forza di leggerli).
Alla fine questa serie mi ha tenuto compagnia, possiamo dire che in qualche modo il suo lavoro l'ha fatto. Mi fa sorridere pensare che ho comprato questi libri tanto tempo fa e probabilmente li avrei apprezzi di più ai tempi, ma comunque qualche risata me l'ha strappata quindi va bene.
Con una media di circa 2,80 stelle, direi che non possiamo dire che questa sia stata la mia top serie. Non me la sento di promuoverla ma allo stesso tempo non so se bocciarla. Sicuramente non la rileggerò mai e la sto già iniziando a dimenticare, ma se si cerca qualcosa di leggero immagino posso andare più che bene.
Saluto con piacere questi personaggi, ma le nostre strade si dividono qua. Parker, mi stai comunque ancora un po' sulle pa**e. Skyler, ti prego svegliati figlia mia. Wendy, ti amo. Bo e Royce, fatemi uno squillo quando decidete di fare qualcosa nella vostra vita.
Ora, per favore, fatemi evadere che non ne posso più.

Audrey Carlan finished this phenomenal series with all the feels and had my heart bursting with joy. I couldn’t have asked for a better or more lovely ending . I adored these characters so much and am sad to see the series end. They truly were family in every sense of the word and I felt like I knew them in real life. I could be best friends with Sky, Wendy and Rachel. Everyone knows I have a huge crush on my smoking hot book boyfriend, Bo. But let’s be real, Parker and Royce are easy to love and hard to forget. I will miss their crazy adventures. Thank you for this enchanting finale my heart and soul needed to feel complete. It was so beautiful beyond words!

The International Guy series wraps up with book 12, which is set in Los Angeles.
Parker and Royce find themselves as celebrity judges on a dating show, as well coaches for the male contestants.
Skyler creates an elaborate plan to propose to Parker, but I feel like there was unnecessary drama associated with the proposal. For example, why did one of the female contestants have to be a Skyler look-alike? It was all a little convoluted and confusing.
Parker does end up proposing to Schuyler at the very end of the book, and an epilogue shows their lives in the future.
I struggled with most of this series, because as Parker and Skyler fell in love with each other I didn’t really connect with their characters, and I really didn’t feel the love. Also, I really feel at times Parker was unnecessarily mean to his friends and family and Skyler begin to take on some of these characteristics as well. Their love definitely did not make them better versions of themselves, unfortunately.
As expected, there will be books for some of the secondary characters, and I plan on giving those a chance. I am really intrigued by Bo and Baylee’s story.

After all the tension and stress of the previous books Los Angeles starts with a wedding. No, not Sky and Parker at least not yet, but my two favourite characters - Wendy and Mick and the entire team is attendance for the happy day. Parker is happy just enjoying being with Sky without the drama their courtship consisted of but Sky is ready to take that next step. All she has to do now is persuade Parker. With Bo looking after Lucky’s until Randy is back on his feet, Parker and Royce are on their way to Los Angeles for their latest job, helping the contestants on a new dating show. Meanwhile Sky is occupied with the arrangements regarding her upcoming movie… or is she?
This book is just like one big epilogue and indeed has an of its own epilogue showing SkyPark at various stages in their future and also gives small glimpses of what is in store for the remaining members of International Guy, books that Ms Carlan hints are maybe coming. I for one can’t wait. All I can say for now is “Oh Bo, what have you done!!!”

Wedded bliss is in the air for our red-headed firecracker Wendy and her Dominant Mick. Their vows…blew me away!! Our beautiful Skyler catches whiff and pretty soon a plan is hatched. Parker doesn’t think she’s ready for the next step, but when things heat up and the pressure is on, will his response to TVs Mix and Match Contestant #1 sink the ship or be the wind in their sails?
While it’s a bit sad for this series to be ending, I can foresee more stories of this talented International Guy team being told in the future. Audrey Carlan has become my favorite author over the past couple of years catching my eye with her Calendar Girl series. Initially I wasn't sure if I would be interested in something I thought was going to be so similar, but this series did not disappoint. Written in both the male and female leads perspective made it fun and different. I typically have to immediately jump into another book after reading anything she writes, because finishing her books is like losing a friends that I don't get to spend time with anymore. This love story however finishes beautifully and oh so perfect I just feel all wrapped up in it! I feel like the supporting characters were left open enough to where they could have their own stories possibly in the future. Bravo on another great series, that again was well written and so fun to read.

Many relationships and friendships coalesce in this finale for the serial. After a long haul of tragedies, there's a bounty of romance and happy endings that had been brewing. As usual, my favourite part is Wendy and Sir Mick. Though I enjoyed Bo and Royce's shenaningans, too.
They're all trying to get back in track while supporting each other, and there's an optimism in the air throughout this final installment. Work takes Parker to LA and lots of unexpected events. Secret plans mix with sexy times in exciting ways, all wrapped up in the glamour of the show business and very public declarations of love.
I really appreciated the epilogues that gave us so much insight into the characters' future life. It's been a rollercoaster of emotion and fun to read this long serial, and I couldn't be happier if the IG world continued with a few characters that need closure ;-)
