The Federation lies in ruin - facing the seemingly endless and brutal Krai'kesh on one front and traitors in the form of the Cult of Rae on the other front. All hope seems lost.

Admiral Martin Rigsby must lead the Federation fleet in a desperate fight against the Krai'kesh, while secret agents, mages, Marines and pilots engage in their own, smaller battles with aliens and traitors alike.

I received a free copy of this book in return for an honest review. I don't leave spoilers. To be honest I have had this book for a while, I am a fantasy genre lover mainly, and I kept putting off reading it. I regretted accepting a copy that I thought afterwards was not something I would be interested in. But then I thought that was unfair to the author. So I started reading and surprised myself that I was totally engaged from the very beginning, the author managed to capture my imagination with plots that had just enough description, that I could see in my minds eye, but didn't distract me from the storyline. I thought It had a well-defined beginning middle and end, with an edge-of-the-seat quality. The whit, and one-liners from Some of the characters had me giggling with them and made them feel so much more real. Yes there was a few characters and we received tidbits of information about them as and when we needed it for their character development, which suited the style of the book, as it was fast paced with twists and turns that all related to the same storyline. It was easy to feel the emotions of the characters and become invested in them, which I think is a great compliment to an author who can achieve this. There was betrayal, frustration, intrigue, suspense alongside the strength of love, courage and friendship, amongst many more. I enjoyed it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to sci-fi and fantasy genre lovers. Overall there was so much work from the author in this book, that you barely had time to take a breath or put the book down. I will definitely be looking to read other books from Dayne Edmondson.

Fantastic ending to a great series! One of my next series will be the follow up trilogy to this one.

The Krai’kesh have had centuries to cultivate followers among the humans, traitors to humanity The Cult of Rae is pervasive and bent on the overthrow of the human race. Who do you trust when anyone next to you may be a traitor?

Selene’s estranged family have sided secretly with the enemy. Selene is their prisoner and Emma, an Eternal, was handed over the the Krai’kesh. It may turn out to be the biggest mistake they have ever made. With two powerful Eternals for parents, John and Ashley, and an Eternal for a twin, Ethan, the effort to rescue her will be relentless.

The highest levels of government for the Federation may even be harboring traitors. Can even the President be counted on in this battle? With the military’s leader MIA and the fleet in ruins, the future of humanity looks bleak.

The enemy is back and in true human fashion, there are some who welcome them. Whether misguided or through fanaticism or just following orders, it's the last thing the true defenders of humanity need. Even if you're part off an immortal family with extraordinary powers there's only so much they can do againstthe alien hordes when backed up by rogue humans.
The plot thickens in this epic tale of Alien invasion and the heroes needed to try and stem the flow. Excellent characters and settings that span whole star systems.
I can't wait for the next instalment. Brilliant.

I enjoyed this third book in the series, even though I haven't read the other two first. It is definitely a space opera in that there are multiple stories going on within the main plot line of the book at a very rapid pace. I really like the detailed description of the battle sequences of the story, as well as the cat and mouse drama build up. I am definitely planning on reading the first two books in this series so I can get truly caught up with the characters in this book. This is a voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of the book.

I really enjoyed the ending, but I am still confused; who are Brigette and Rachel? Rhhuua h

This is the last book of the trilogy, and I have to say it was the best. I liked the way that the the two really old husband and wife saved the day. I hope there will be another book so we can find out what happens to Emma. What an exciting series!!

I wasn't sure I would like this type of sci-fi.

I wasn't sure I would like this type of sci-fi, but it didn't take long for me to get involved in the story line. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the previous two.

Enjoyable read

Review by Jeff Pagels. Edmondson kept the story moving unlike some sci-fi writers who drone on for pages. This is my main genre and I look forward to reading his other books. Highly recommend. A page turner.

Super writing of a fantasy story that keeps you reading until you're at the end. This is one out of this world author and I hope to read many more books. Received an ARC.
