There has been so much great build up for Aladdin and his goals. I'm liking the characters as I've said so many times, it's great for a series to have a plethora of great characters to use.
The last few chapters were quite sad and really brought the happy tone back down like the series has done before, now what will Aladdin do!

All Aladdin all the time.
World: Art is still kinda wonky but this is just the series then. The world building is really heavy this time around, it’s tied into characters and the whole larger picture of the world as a whole. The ideas behind the magic city and how it runs and the different levels is not entirely original but it does ring emotionally strong.
Story: The Aladdin story is good, we get a lot of depth here and a lot of forward progress. His mission was to study magic but to also see the city and what it’s about and this one is exactly that. There are some nice emotional hooks here to drive the story and it’s well done. Titus is a good foil and so are the people in District 5.
Characters: Titus is an interesting character and is a new pieces in the larger story. However his journey is interesting and his depth is basic but serves the story. Aladdin get’s some development and so does his friend. Overall a good solid character book.
Onward to the next book!

A review for books 1- 26
This Manga starts our humorous. I really enjoyed the characters at the beginning. The farther you read the deeper the plots become. Enjoyable at the beginning, and a must read for the later books. I can NOT wait for books 27 + Characters are real and raw. Everyone has there faults and I feel the author/artist dose a wonderful job of bringing everyones points of view, twisted though they might be, in to clear focus.
(note: I wouldn't recommend this manga for young teens. I fine the sexual innuendos pretty funny as an adult, but not really appropriate for younger audiences. Also the plot gets pretty dark at times. )

It is soooooo frustrating to see the war and violence but gahhhh the action is soooo intense! I can't wait to see it in the anime :3
There's a lot of development along with pure action. I am getting so giddy here. Now I just need to wait for more chapters. *shrivels up and dies*

Me encanta lo oscuro que se pone Magi en el arco de Magnoshutatt. Una oscuridad repudiable y tan metafóricamente bien planteado para relacionar lo que ocurre en nuestro mundo que sólo puedo aplaudir al autor. Este es el verdadero poder de la fantasía. Me ha gustado también la extrapolación de la raza judía con respecto a los magos en Magi, utilizando conceptos de otra manera; pero que, igual, tiene profundas raices en la kábala.

I didn't know what I was getting into when starting Magi. It looks to be one of those endless shounen series. I'll keep up with it for now, but it's not gripping me. I can't for the life of me keep all the different players straight (especially any of the Kou family - they all look the same!), and I'm not invested enough in the series to go back and reread to figure out everyone. The political dynamics are well done, and I would enjoy them even more if I could keep everyone straight.
More than anything, it's the pretty covers of Magi that I like. Who's that character on the cover? What's he doing? I don't know, but he looks cool. Yes, sometimes I do read books because of lovely covers. Sue me.

I'm becoming slightly perturbed that I never know what volume I am on when I read this stuff online. But, the series is fantastic.
I'm pretty sure this is the part where the war begins, and OH MY GOODNESS THE ACTION IS SO INTENSE. I am loving every moment. We literally when from 0 to 100 in 2 seconds. Gah! I can't fathom this right now... must read on.

It's an all magic, all magicians volume and Aladdin once again takes center stage.
It concentrates on the deep, dark secret of Magnoshutatt and it reveals some pretty major plot points, but it still felt like nothing much actually happened.
