Bobby Sterling was an ordinary teenager leading a normal life with only hockey and school on the horizon. Until one fateful day when he was whisked away into adventure at a space academy he never could have possibly imagined existed. But the transition to his new life doesn’t go very smoothly.

As Bobby gains new abilities and explores new worlds, he will have to overcome his fears, push himself like never before and cope with his emotions. But he’s also worried about the unknown. There’s something amiss at the academy that Bobby can't quite put his finger on. Something happened there that no one will willingly talk about. Can Bobby uncover the truth? Or will the truth somehow discover him first...

Alex grew up in Pennsylvania longing for the West Coast and after graduating from Temple University, he moved to California. He’s written a variety of things over the years including a weekly NHL recap column at HockeyRecaps.com. Bobby Sterling vs Truth is his first novel and the first book in the series. This is lik Harry Potter in Space but with robots and technology. Instead of the kids having adventures and finding themselves in danger they are being sent on missions by their teachers with no information and their questions are never answered. How much danger are they in?!

This one is a hard one to review… I didn’t hate it, but there were a lot of eye rolling moments for me and odd style choices? (quite a few spelling mistakes too)
Some things felt underdeveloped, and some things overdeveloped
But pretty imaginative and original and I was getting some Harry Potter vibes sometimes (which is good)

I think when I was younger-like 10 to 12- I would have liked it better.

I like the concept of the story. It does remind me a little bit of Harry Potter. I just wished it was a little bit polished and well developed as it was a lot of grammar and spelling errors, but all in all, I like the creativity and the story itself.
I hoped with the next book, it will be more developed and polished.

My 5th grade self is in love with Bobby. I guess i am committed to the second book, just to find out about the broken hologram and to find out what that one robot was looking for! For those who have not yet read this book... get to it. Bobby is a young man on a space adventure who is also in the process of finding himself and facing his fears along the way. Giveaway win
