As the Demon Fighters’ Council gains more power, Clem travels to Bucharest to find their Head and destroy him. Simple, she thinks. After all, she has her newfound powers. She’s practically invincible.

But first she needs to find the Council headquarters. Then she finds out there’s a serious condition attached to killing the Head.

Meanwhile, the Council have started rounding up paranormals, innocent or not. When Nic’s pack become targets, the fight turns personal.

Even if Clem can fight the Council, she has personal demons to destroy.

This is the final book in the Clem Starr: Demon Fighter series. Join Clem, Kisho and Nic as they prepare for their final battle.

Fun and enthralling urban fantasy

I’m a digital nomad (well I was until 2020 happened), although I hate that term because it makes me sound like a wanky hipster. Which I’m not. Okay, I am a bit snobby about coffee and I sometimes wear twee vintage dresses but that doesn’t make me a hipster.

On my travels, I love visiting weird and macabre places. Mummified hands that remove curses, museums of infectious diseases, collections of taxidermized frogs riding Penny Farthings - hell yeah!

Oh, and that profile photo isn't me, it's my rapscallion Bishon Frise called Hamish. Both of us highly motivated by treats.

I have been a fan of this series from the very beginning and I have devoured every single book the moment it became available. Clem Starr, Nic and Kisho are all fantastic lovable characters who I was very sad to say goodbye to. However, the author really did a great job finishing the series, tying up all the loose ends and giving full closure.
Unlike the last book, which was quite sad, this one starts and finishes on a lighter tone, regardless of the surprises for readers and disappointments for the characters that occur in the story. The author did a great job of maintaining the consistency in characters and the world she has created, as well as the quality of her writing. Again, the amount of research on location she conducted shows and adds greatly to the story. The author conveys the atmosphere of the place and creates the right atmosphere. Make no mistake, there is a lot of cake in this story, probably more than ever before.
All in all, this is one of my favourite series and I highly recommend it. The reading order is of utmost importance, and here it is: Sex Demon (Clem Starr: Demon Fighter #0.5), which is the same as Incubus (Clem Starr: Demon Fighter #0.6), Demon Child (Clem Starr: Demon Fighter #1), Moonlight Virgin (Clem Starr: Demon Fighter #2), Vampire Prince (Clem Starr: Demon Fighter #3), Merry Clem-mas (Clem Starr: Demon Fighter 3.5), Undead Alchemist (Clem Starr: Demon Fighter #4), Mystery Widow (Clem Starr: Demon Fighter #5), and Super Starr (Clem Starr: Demon Fighter #6).

I can't believe the Clem Starr series has ended...

What a great way to go out though! In typical Clem Starr fashion the quips come thick and fast, the old gang are reunited and there are plentiful cups of disgusting coffee.

The final instalment is set in the wonderful Romania. The gang have to try to locate the Demon Fighters Council and bring things to a head, once and for all. There are plenty of battles to keep things interesting and some fascinating stealthy exploits.
Clem discovers more about herself and her powers as well as some surprising revelations elsewhere. Everything is more lighthearted again and more in the style of the earlier books, and Kat Cotton shows once again what a superb writer she truly is.

I am not a big traveller or cake eater, but having read these books, I have been craving cake every day and now want to see Prague and Romania more than ever!

I can't believe I spent so long waiting to read book 1 - It was in my to read list for months.

I recommend this series to Urban Fantasy fans but also fans of vampires and demons with a twisted sense of humour, who love fun and frolics in with the action.

I look forward to Kat's next series.

Ok, I’m finding this too hard to resist. Kat Cotton really is the super-star of urban fantasy authors. Clem Starr really is the super-star or urban fantasy characters and, you guessed it, Super Starr (Clem Starr: Demon Fighter Book 6) really is the super-star installment in the series.

There. Got it out of my system. But, seriously, the Clem Starr: Demon Fighter books are in fact freakin’ fantastic and I’ve got a fan-girl wanna-be crush on Clem Starr. And now it all comes to a head in the final, concluding novel. I’m almost dying to give away this plot but I won’t. What I will say is that, as usual, it’s superbly written, and it’s plot does exactly what it’s supposed to do. A perfect ending, and just what the series deserves.

But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend.

I’m so sad that this is the very last story of Clem Starr but it’s been a great and wild ride. Kat Cotton has done so much research and visiting the places that are in the stories, that makes it very believable and makes me want to visit some of those places. I’m going to miss the guys Clem, Kisho and Nic but all good things must come to an end and this is an absolutely amazing ending, I’m so content with this series each and every book I loved but this is the absolute best one of them all and what a way to end this series. Congrats Kat you should be very proud of this series and I can’t wait to see what you bring out next, if you have been following this series but haven’t gotten this book yet then what are you waiting for?, you won’t be disappointed. A 5 plus ++++ ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read. I loved it and I know you will too!.

What a great book. It really was as good as I expected. Full of action, touching scenes, ones that made me laugh, and Clem being Clem. Clem, Nik, and Kisho were a hoot as usual. Clem's inner and spoken monologues were downright entertaining. I loved the action and twists and the ending was great and not exactly what I thought it would be but totally rocked. Just a fun story about Clem and the boys and plenty of snark. I love this series and this book.

It is sad to see the series end. I just love this trio and they have had so many fun adventures together.
This book shows us the best of them and how much they really care about each other.

The ending left me wanting more and I hope the author will consider a little story somewhere down the road letting us know more about their future.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

Things Are Not As They Appear

I believe the character of Clem Starr has really evolved over the series. She still has her quirks of always wanting to eat cake with Nick or better yet without him keeping it all to herself.

This book will take you into deeper territory of her past and how it is come to shape her future. I was pleasantly surprised at some of the twist in this story. Can't wait to see what is in store for her with her new destiny.

Thank you also for keeping the story fresh. If you've not read any of the Clem Starr books pick them up before you read Super Starr. otherwise you will be lost .
