Spending the night with his boss, even just for play, was a mistake. It must have been, because if it wasn't then walking out on him afterward was an even bigger one. Ewan refuses to believe that, determined to stay away from Nathaniel Scott and the possibility of something more than just kinky fun. But Nate is a part of his life now, inescapable, and as he's pulled deeper into Nate's orbit Ewan can't help wondering if submitting to Nate is not only inevitable, but everything he's ever dreamed of.

Whatever it was Nate did to screw up with Ewan the first time, he's determined not to do it again. If Ewan wants him to stay away then that's exactly what Nate's going to do. No harm, no foul. But watching Ewan fall to pieces without him is more painful than he can stand, and every bone in Nate's body screams at him to take care of Ewan the way he deserves. Can he make Ewan happy by letting him make his own mistakes? Or will Nate lose the one thing he never knew he wanted?

Fuck me. Use me. Take me. Make me yours.
Hurt me. But please, don’t hurt me.

How can this be so rough and sooo sweet at the same time? This hurts, but the aftercare is delicious!

Ewan and Nathaniel I'm gonna eat you up!

Help me!
And there were strong arms around him pulling him back against a strong chest. That voice whispering, “That’s it, baby boy, let it go. It’s over,” into his ear and he turned to bury his face in Nate’s chest, weeping because it was over, wasn’t it? Nate had said.
He was pulled down onto the bed, and Nate held onto him, didn’t let go when Ewan struggled, not until he collapsed, exhausted, on Nate’s chest.
“There you go,” Nate sighed, petting Ewan’s hair, and very gently stroking his welts so that they stung new again. “That’s my boy.”
His voice was hypnotic, and Ewan tilted toward it, crawling up his chest to nuzzle his throat. “Nate,” he whined, and Nate nuzzled him back, and when he found it Nate’s mouth was open and waiting for him.

I’m really enjoying the dynamic between these two - Sadist, who’s really a sweetie and brat who’s desperate to be loved and wanted. There’s humor, heart and lots of heat !

I understand that Ewan is a brat but he was getting on my nerves. I want to know a little bit more about his life back home in Glasgow. I hope Nate doesn't get hurt by Ewan because even though he hasn't admitted yet he's already in love with "his brat".

Nothing like a bratty sub

This is such a contrast to Channon in His Boy Next Door, who wants nothing more than to be a good boy and be praised. Ewan is bratty and defiant and wants someone to MAKE him behave - and Nate is perfect for that job. I’m enjoying it quite a lot, and am heading straight into the third book.

And so it continues. These three books are really just one book that’s been divided into sections. In the second book Ewan continues to fight his attraction to Nate. We still haven’t heard the story of the mystery man who ruined Ewan for relationships. I’m looking forward to the last book and hoping these two will find their happy ever after. I’m pretty sure they will.

Hot and delicious

I love these characters and all the details that the author includes. From Nate and Ewen's quirks to the setting and the kink. Fun reading!

I loved the first part (Crash) and I guess I liked this one … but I have to confess that I felt rather cheated at the end.

I could have loved it, if it had been mainly about the two main characters and THEIR relationship. I still love them as characters and I still find their relationship and its dynamics highly interesting, but half of the book wasn't about them, or only very indirectly about them. Instead, other, much less interesting characters were introduced. I feel like way too much time was spilled on the completely uninteresting Laurence. Ewan's failed attempt at forming a relationship with him was completely pointless to read about. Especially since it was obvious from the start that it would never go anywhere. It felt suspiciously like a way of just getting a higher word-count and get to the place where things started to heat up again so the book could be ended with the reader frustrated and waiting to read part three.

I didn't appreciate that at all and I won't rate this one highly because of it. It's well written and the main characters are still interesting. And the part that was hot was really hot, but …
No, I still feel cheated. I'm not saying that I won't take a chance on part three, but I'll do it under protest.

The series started out really great ... Maybe ... hopefully ... it'll pick up again ...

I CANNOT bring myself to finish this.

I'm sorry but I can't. There has been literally NO character development so far and I am just hrwqfnqfw about it cause I really like Nate and Ewan.

I REALLY love everything about it but it's just TOO slow for my tastes. Maybe I'll finish it if I have more down time but definitely not now.

Why r these books so short like why could the author not combine them into like a singular book

Rr:
I think this book is like legitimately my least favorite in the eries like I find it to be so lacking

The second instalment of A Collar For His Brat was so much more satisfying than the first. I got to spend some more time with Ewan and see where his head's at, what's going on. I did not get a whole lot of answers, but I am excited to find out more. I did get a glimpse of what might be wrong and that got me going.

I liked how hard he tried to make thing work (silly boy, wasn't what he needed) with Laurence, although he knew very well they were not good for each other. He did well, though.

I'm not sure how to feel about Sadie. She had the best of intentions and I understood it before she knew what was actually going on in Ewan's life, but after that... Telling some random guy about a traumatic experience someone else went through (true or not), that's a no-no. I'm still being open about her, but at this point I really don't like her. I am willing to accept she is Ewan's best friend, but that doesn't mean I have to like her.
Just, don't go talking about other person's sensible past. How hard can that be?

I really, really like Nate. I think, and hope, I'll see more of him in the third book and I am ready for that, but so far I like how demanding he is, how he makes Ewan talk to him and open up. Now that is a good Dom!

I am ready for the next novel, I'm pretty sure I will read the extra two stories too, and then I'm taking a break (maybe while dipping into His Boy Next Door) and try not to forget about it until I know for sure the series is complete.

This installment was a bit harder to read.

Nate and Ewan were not together for majority of this book and while I understand that the distance was needed for Ewan, I wasn't exactly happy with it. Having to sit through all the dates and scenes between Laurence and Ewan was a drag because of how uninterested Ewan was with Laurence.

Anyway, the distance will help Ewan be more receptive to Nate so I'm hoping their relationship can start to have an upwards turn from here on.

Dom Nate and Ewan’s story continue

This is book 2 with Dom Nate and Ewan story as they dance around each other. Here Ewan true to find a new love interest with a sweet man but that's not what he wants or needs. Nate seems to watch for when Ewan comes to him needing him wanting him.

Yes!!

Here the guys are starting to get a better understanding of each other. Ewan still needs to open up more to Nate. Especially about what happened with Gary. That seems to be his defining past. I have a feeling it's going to be hard to read.

So good! Yes, Laurence is sweet, be t he's just so wring for Ewan -- what he needs is someone to take him apart before he can be put back together, which Nate is so good at doing. I'd love to see Laurence have his own sweet HEA, but not anywhere near Nate, Ewan, Jack and Channon!

This series of novellas quickly turned into a weekend binge read for me, and I regret nothing. Ewan and Nate will be the perfect pairing once they both accept that they actually want each other. I don't particularly mind the sexiness and medium-level angst readers are treated to along the way.

Great part 2. And while there is still part 3 to come this doesn't end in a real cliffhanger.

Need the final instalment like yesterday because I want the HEA. :)

Good but short

I am coming to enjoy this series. Not used to cliffhanger though. Something too get used to. Hard to leave a review when I don't have the whole story.

Yayyyy! I love these two. So cute and stubborn and perfectly suited for each other in a roundabout sort of way. 5/5⭐️ 2/5🔥🌶

This one definitely felt more like an interlude, a lot of set-up and time spent apart. Still super well written but just not as enojoyable an installment for me.
