Parker, Bogart and Royce founded their International Guy company right after college. It's a company to help women reach their full potential. Like for example the current huge client in the first story: Paris. Sophie is the heiress of a french perfume company. She inherited her dad's company, billions of Euro and lots of problems. But she only wants to create perfumes. She doesn't care about the business side of things, or how she dresses. That's where our three guys come in. They'll help her look sexy and confident in front of her board members. And they help her with so much more.
Parker is especially intrigued by the pretty girl.
But he's also kind of in love with supermodel and A-list actress Skyler. From afar. Like in posters and movies.
Parker is a bit of a man whore. And why not? He has this amazing job traveling the world, meeting amazing women. Why not have fun with each and every one of them?
But will he and the other three guys find their Happily Ever Afters in one of those 12 cities??

Well, that was interesting.
I loved Audrey's Calendar Girl series, and I thought this would be kind of the same. BUT with the Calendar Girl - we kinda immediately knew who her forever ever after guy would be. This is not really the case here. Well, it kind of is .... I hope Parker's happy end will be with Skyler, but we don't yet know in the first of the three stories.☺
The fact that Parker starts off as a bit of a manwhore was not really my thing. I want a romance novel to have a heroine and a hero. And here we have those three guys and endless women in 12 cities.
BUT, don't worry, it's not going to be like that in every story/city!
I really enjoyed reading all three city-stories. It was just the first one that made me think I might hate this series - even though the story was adorable too. But I just didn't want Parker to be this manwhore-sleeping-with-every-client person. Which he is not!
It was interesting to get to know the three guys a bit in those three stories. I like them. They're funny and sexy and sweet and they're still acting a bit like frat boys. I love how they meet at Parker's dad's pub all the time.
I could really imagine this to be a netflix show. Lots of eye candy and beautiful cities around the world! GIMMEE!!!!!
I will definitely be reading the rest of the books - I need to know how everything will end for those three guys! And I really hope that once Parker is in a halfway serious relationship after book #2, that he won't man-whore his way across the globe anymore. But we won't know until we get to read the next 9 stories! ☺ But I really think he found his person in the 2nd story! ☺
I also like how Audrey tells us a bit about every city we're in.
I'm excited to see what will await us in the next stories!

3 Lots Going On Stars

Oh, My My. This was a read which sometimes could be the sweetest...and then a bit confusing as to what direction it was going in. From the start, there was the good guy... a man who was loved by his family. He came from a solid background, had "salt of the Earth" parents and because of his dedication, smarts and savvy, created an extremely successful business with his two college buddies.
Each fella had their expertise and they assisted women in finding their inner goddesses. If there was a makeover needed, one of the fellas had the gift of knowing just what wardrobe and hair would be perfect. If a woman needed to have assistance in the financial areas, the other guy was a numbers cruncher and would whip the companies into shape. And if the woman needed to find herself... find the person she was inside... the the main guy was the one to pull out all the stops and make her see how terrific she truly was.
The concept was there and so were the guys. We were given three stories all focused on our first fella Parker, the Dream maker. So Parker likes the women and he is not shy about it. In fact, all the men in the company like them and sometimes it seems crossing the line between professional and personal gets blurry.
The first story has Parker and the team assisting an heiress with a perfume company left to her by her dad. Upon first meet, Parker and his very active dick, seem to be immediately interested in this woman. As the story unfolds, much happens between these two.
There are two other parts of this book leading up to the next book coming out. Each book will have multiple stories in them. There are twelve in total repackaged stories.

3,5 Sterne - Anfangs ziemlich oberflächlich, aber zum Ende hin ist es doch besser geworden. Eigentlich wollte ich die weiteren Teile nicht lesen, aber das Ende hat mich nun doch neugierig auf den nächsten Teil gemacht.

Nach 120 Seiten aus der Hand gelegt mit der Frage, warum ich mir das angetan habe.
Parker und seine zwei Kumpel haben eine grandiose Agentur und kümmern sich um das Wohl weiblicher Klienten, die noch nicht alles aus sich rausgeholt haben. Da werden Businesspläne erstellt, Makeovers gemacht und es gibt dann noch Sex, natürlich nicht mit den Kunden, oder doch... Ausnahmen bestätigen ja die Regel. Das ist natürlich nicht das Problem des Buches, denn sonst würde ich sowas gar nicht erst lesen. Geschickt verpackt und gut geschrieben ist so ein erotischer Roman wirklich gut für zwischendurch.
Doch Audrey Carlan geht meines Erachtens einfach zu weit. Parker stellt schon in Paris sein Hirn vollkommen aus, drückt sein Gemächt an die Kundin nach nicht mal 24h und nennt sie die ganze Zeit "ma cherie", obwohl er das bei einem Angestellten der Personalabteilung absolut nicht duldet. Verstehe ich nicht. Jedenfalls finde ich die Hauptfigur absolut anzüglich, viel zu offensiv und keinesfalls wie ein Geschäftsmann, der ein absolut gut laufendes Unternehmen vollführt.

Lo abandono pero lo reseño para recordarme a mi misma no volver a acercarme a esta autora (y me encargaré de cambiar la fecha para que no se incluya en mi reto anual).
¿Se puede juzgar un libro por sus tres primeros capítulos? Os puedo asegurar que en este caso sí. Este libro es basura, sus protagonistas son basura. Es un libro de un machismo repulsivo, de unos protas cuyo cuñadismo extremo me ha hecho abandonarlo porque no era humanamente capaz de leer una sola palabra más. Me avergüenza pensar que una mujer retrate semejantes personajes y situaciones como novela romántica. Libros como este son los que dañan la imagen del género.
Vomitivo.

Abgebrochen...also der erste Abschnitt war ja noch ok, aber als Parker dann gleich wieder am ersten Tag mit der Kundin rummachte, war mir das bei allem Verständnis für seichte Unterhaltung einfach too much

With a nod to her Calendar Girl series, Audrey Carlan kicks off her new series introducing us to "Dream Maker" Parker Ellis, and the dynamic trio at International Guy. Parker, Royce and Bogart promise to love, honor...err, no. These three are professional ladies men and their charter " No request is too demanding or too strange. As long as it’s not illegal . . . we’re in." leaves a lot of room for all sorts of mayhem. It's a wide open world and Internal Guys must travel.
Volume One opens with Parker visiting Paris and meeting Sophie Rolland. This chapter of the story sets the stage and what we should expect from Parker as he focuses on "Getting to the heart of what a woman truly wants is my job.". He is man who knows how to create a connection. Sophie needs help with learning to run her family business and Parker finds Sophie in his arms pretty darn quickly. Turns out what Sophie needs is something Parker knows how to bring out in a women, confidence. There are many suave ways to build that up. The story unfolds as a fast pace and while I just didn't feel it with Sophie, New York held a lot of promise.
Finding himself stateside Parker is hired to help actress Skyler Lumpkin with her desire to remain an actress. By now we've got a good picture of who Parker is, and Sky can definitely use his brand of help. While Paris was a 4 star read for me, NYC was shaping to be a 5. These two made my heart go pitter-patter and left me with a goofy grin on my face. I loved the steps Parker took with Sky. He reaches into her soul and shows her a new side of herself. He makes her see the joy in life and forges a bond with her. Carlan gifts us with Skylers viewpoint hinting that this bond runs deep and perhaps long.
At this point in Volume One I am completely bought in. I love the International Guys set up, the office and their backstory. We're getting to know all three of them and I adore their new hire Wendy and her mysterious beau. I'm ready to see what challenge Copenhagen brings.
Parker lands in Denmark and meets with Princess Mary, a mother looking out for her daughters best interest. Princess Christina's story is wonderful, and as Parker's involvement plays out we learn about tragedy, hopelessness and self destruction. Using all his resources and against her wishes, Parker cuts to the chase to help Christina find her way. This was a sweet and endearing as Crown Prince Sven bares his soul to the woman he loves.
Carlan weaves her audience into the story with her oh so clever name drops and the appeals to romance readers with her tribute to Sylvia Days' "Bared To You". As the volume closes out Parker finds himself hiding his truth that opens up a space for mayhem & mistakes and leaving us wondering what Milan has to offer, starting with Parker learning to walk the walk...I anticipate much angst and drama (YAY!).

I received an ARC through the publisher on NetGalley for an unbiased and honest opinion.
I'm gonna be totally honest here, and I really hate to do so. Let's begin by saying that I love Audrey Carlan. Her "Lotus House" series is one of my favorites and will always be. The "Calendar Girl" series, somewhat of a similar premise to "International Guy," was also a favorite and I couldn't read them fast enough.
However...International Guy just...didn't do it for me as much. I wanted to love it, I really did. But I wanted to slap the protagonist, and then I wanted to yell at the women. I loved how the gang empowered the different women characters they encountered, but at the same time I felt like they were SO DEMEANING. Making it all about the makeover, and that a woman can only succeed when she dresses like a sex kitten and is propped up by three (excuse me) douchebags?
No.
I'm still going to say it's "ok" because maybe some people will like the boys. Not to mention (again) that I will always read Audrey Carlan. But I really couldn't with this book. Thank you for the ARC, I truly appreciated it. But I won't be recommending this one.

Pude disfrutar a Audrey Carlan con su serie Calendar Girl, donde se nos narraba las aventuras de Mia, una escort de lujo que cada mes nos narraba sus aventuras con un nuevo cliente. En esta nueva serie acompañaremos a Parker Ellis, asesor y coach, en su trabajo alrededor del mundo.
Pues os voy a presentar a los personajes.
Parker Ellis, el Forjador de Sueños, nuestro protagonista, es el accionista principal de International Guy, su trabajo es asesorar y ayudar a sus clientas a conseguir sus objetivos y se encarga de todo con ayuda de sus dos mejores amigos y socios. Es un enamorado de las mujeres (le gustan todas) y tiene un don para saber lo que una mujer necesita y ayudarla para conseguirlo.
Bogart «Bo» Montgomery, el Amante de Ensueño, experto en estilismo y todo lo que se necesita para hacer a sus clientas sentirse bien con su aspecto, ya sea un cambio de vestuario, maquillaje, peluquería.
Royce Sterling, la Fábrica de dinero, experto en economía, sus consejos han hecho muy ricos a sus amigos y pone esos conocimientos a disposición de sus clientas si los necesitan.
Los tres se conocen desde la universidad y son como hermanos, y juntos han fundado International Guy Inc, una empresa que se dedica a dar asesoría y ayudar a mujeres en lo que necesiten, por raro que sea.
La primera parada de su viaje será París, allí los tres deberán ayudar a Sophie Rolland, una mujer que a la muerte de su padre acaba de heredar la empresa familiar. Pero aunque tiene los conocimientos necesarios para hacerse cargo de la empresa le falta la confianza para hacerlo. Los tres se pondrán manos a la obra para que Sophie adquiera confianza en sí misma y se convierta en la empresaria que desea.
Después llegará Nueva York, donde Parker tendrá que ayudar a Skyler Paige a recuperar la inspiración que ha perdido. Skyler es una de las estrellas más cotizadas de Hollywood, y ha perdido la motivación. Está tan desanimada y deprimida que ni puede ni quiere seguir haciendo lo que más ama, actuar.
El problema es que Skyler Paige es el amor platónico de Parker y mantener una apariencia profesional cuando convives con la mujer de tus sueños es un poco complicado para alguien como él.
Parker la ayudará a reencontrarse a sí misma, a librarse de sus miedos y a saber que espera de ella, de su carrera y de los que la rodean.
La última parada será Copenhague, donde a Parker se le contrata para que mete en cintura a una princesita rebelde.
Parker es un hombre brutalmente sincero con respecto al sexo, a veces puede resultar algo brusco en sus pensamientos, pero venera a las mujeres con las que trabaja y solo vive para ayudarlas y hacerlas sentir bien. De hecho una de las cosas que más me ha llamado la atención es el contraste entre el machito alfa y el hombre que venera y se desvive por hacer feliz a sus clientas, ayudarlas y darles todo lo que necesitan, puede ser un capullo que también puede resultar muy tierno a veces. Es un hombre al que le cuesta comprometerse pues en el pasado ha sufrido la traición y le cuesta creer en el amor.
Bo y Royce tendrán un papel secundario, aunque Parker recurrirá a ellos cuando sea necesario. Su punto de reunión entre trabajos es Lucky's, el bar del padre de Parker, donde los tres amigos se reúnen entre viajes, se relajan y se ponen al día.
El libro tiene quinientas siete páginas divididas en tres partes: París, Nueva York y Copenhague, y a su vez cada parte está dividida en diez capítulos. La narración está a cargo de Parker Ellis en primera persona, pero al final de cada parte también tendremos un capítulo con la narración desde el punto de vista de Skyler, por lo que supongo que ella sera nuestra protagonista femenina.
Audrey es una autora de romántica erótica, por lo tanto el sexo, de un modo u otro, estará muy presente durante toda la historia. La lectura es fluida, capítulos cortos que se leen muy rápido, y enganchan un montón. Con escenas de alto voltaje pero muy bien narradas.
El viaje de Parker acaba de empezar, así que sí te gusta la novela erótica, anímate, seguro que Todo es posible te gustará.

Allora in meno di una settimana ho terminato questo libro davvero rilassante per così dire, le cui emozioni non mancano, tra risate e la commozione è ideale leggerlo per passare a letture più “impegnative”.
Conoscevo già lo stile della scrittrice da Calendar Girl, anche in quel caso mi ha fatto morire ogni singola pagina sebbene assomigliasse per certi aspetti a Cinquanta Sfumature (escludendo la parte del Dominatore e Sottomessa).
Come sempre sono tre storie, tre diverse dall’una all’altra ma con un obiettivo in comune aiutare le donne ad essere e diventare ció che vogliono, senza che altri si intromettano decidendo per loro.
Ho amato moltissimo la prima storia avvenuta a Parigi, dove non vi era solo Parker ma anche i suoi due migliori amici Bogart e Royce, ognuno di loro ha un compito da svolgere e rispecchiano a pieno il soprannome che si sono dati, dando davvero atto nelle capacità in cui si sanno destreggiare a meraviglia.
Vorrei tanto un ragazzo che si comporti come fa Parker e i suoi amici, capendo alla perfezione lo stato d’animo delle donne e di loro stesse, è come se fossero nati per questo compito ed è incredibile la capacità con cui riescono ad uscirne; certo anche la terza storia avvenuta a Copenaghen ha messo a dura prova questo caro Dream Maker da fare ogni cosa in suo potere per aiutare a capire quali sbagli stesse commettendo una determinata principessa
La nota dolente peró devo dirla, che fine farà la storia con Skyler? Spero che tutto si risolva al meglio.

"Part of life is taking the hits and learning how to live with the scars left behind."
WOW!! I. LOVE. INTERNATIONAL. GUY! The author is starting this series out with a BANG! All of the first three installments all excellent reads! I was hanging on every word, and totally hooked on every single character! Each book had a uniquely different plot but was able to still link itself together. Parker, Bo, and Royce are seriously the perfect trio! I won't lie and say I haven't already picked my favorite of the guys because I totally have. I can't wait to see more action from Bo and Royce, I have the feeling my favorite could easily change. Each guy has a addicting personality, and over the top banter. And well their skills are definitely impressive and unique. Who would have thought the jobs dream maker, money maker and love maker would be so intriguing. It's jobs I wouldn't have thought of but definitely work well together. I also can't wait to get to know Wendy better. They could not have picked a more fitting assistant. She is a spit fire that immediately fit right in with the guys! I LOVE each book is in a different place. The traveling the guys do definitely makes the books that much more interesting and fun. This series is one journey I absolutely can NOT wait to take! The next installment is not getting here fast enough! If I had one thing I'm on the fence over is I hope Parker isn't rushing into things with a certain heroine because honestly I am really loving his no obligation free spirit. I would hate to see his relationship with a character over shadow his choices in the future stories to come.

Sophie is still my favorite heroine so far! Something about her just hooked me from the start! Her character was easy to relate too, and extremely laid back! I loved her accent and knack for mixing up her words. I loved she was confident enough to show her insecurities, but was determined enough to face them head on. Sophies character truly did blossom and grow under International Guys care. Her development was no easy task but she never wavered and remained strong. Parker and Sophie was seriously hot together. Their chemistry definitely kept things interesting. I am happy Parker and her ended on such good terms as friends that we will hopefully be seeing more of her character throughout the story!
“Skyler isn’t glitz and glam. She’s peaches and cream. Hot apple pie on a cool, breezy day. Jeans and a tank . Baseball and hotdogs. What she is not is limos and red carpets, fashion and gems. It’s not her ; nor does she want that to be her.”

Skyler was one heroine I wasn't sure how to take at first. She came across a bit diva in the expert before her story. However I was excited for her story as much as Parker talked about her during the first book. I quickly warmed up to her character once we really got to know the true Skyler Paige. What I once took for diva was actually just fear and insecurities. She had lost her way and you couldn't help but feel sad for for her situation. I LOVED watching her discover the women that lost her shine behind the sparkle of Hollywood. Skyler definitely took you on a wild ride to find not only her muse, but herself. HOLY CHEMISTRY! Parker and Skyler held nothing back in that department. They definitely kept your kindle pages HOT! I am on pins and needles wondering where these two will take us next!

Princess Christina was the most head strong heroine yet! Parker had his work cut out for him taming this Princess! She was NOT going to make his job easy, and Parker had a lot of pieces to find before solving the overall puzzle that is Christina. I seriously LOVED everything about her character! She was a total spit fire, who was lost under the pressure of the monarchy. My heart hurt for her so many times during her story. Loss and pain definitely swirled around these characters. I'm not going to lie, I needed my Kleenex a few times. Out of all the stories thus far I think she needed International Guy most. Christina's path to discovery was by no means easy. It was a lot of walls being broken, and fears being over come. AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON SVEN! *SWOONS*

Wieder einmal ein blumiges Thema, welches mir aber im Vergleich mit anderen Buchcovern dieser Art nicht so gut gefällt. Mir sind die Blumen einfach zu groß und dominant.

Dies ist der erste Teil, einer bisher 4-teiligen Serie. Worum geht es? Um richtige Männer und "Brüder im Geiste", die zusammen eine Firma führen. Diese bietet Dienstleistungen aller Art für Frauen an um diese in jeder erdenklichen Lebenslage zu unterstützen. Sei es das Business, Geld oder deren Lebens- und Liebesglück. Wir treffen auf Parker Ellis, der Dream Maker und seine beiden Partner Bogart ‚Bo‘ Montgomery, der Love Maker, und Royce Sterling, der Money Maker. Auf Grund der Gleichberichtigung im Buch ist dieses aber keines Wegs sexistisch, was man vielleicht an Hand der gebotenen Dienstleisungen meinen könnte. Im ersten Band haben wir 3 Handlungsorte und somit auch 3 Frauen, denen es zu helfen gilt. Bei einer dann auch wird dann auch gern sehr persönlich geholfen.
Die Protas des Buches sind angenehm symphatisch und vielfältig ausgearbeitet und der spritzige Humor zwischen den Zeilen lässt keine Langeweile beim Leser aufkommen. Was einem sehr guten Schreibstil zu verdanken ist und einem ordentlichen Schuss Erotik. Durch das eher offene Ende mit einem Mißverständnis wird die Neugier auf den nächsten Band beim Leser geweckt. Ich gebe diesem Buch gerne 4/5 Sterne, da es eine angenehme Flucht aus dem Alltag bietet.

Nach Calendar Girl und Trinity war ich sehr gespannt auf die neue Reihe der Autorin und hatte recht hohe Erwartungen. Leider muss ich sagen, dass mich das Buch doch ziemlich enttäuscht hat.
Vom Aufbau und Prinzip her ist es sehr ähnlich zu der Calendar Girl Reihe, nur dass wir hier die drei Männer der International Guy Inc. haben, die von Job zu Job reisen, wobei es aus der Sicht von Parker geschrieben ist.
Das Buch war nicht völlig schlecht, konnte mich leider auch nicht wirklich begeistern. Dies liegt einerseits an dem bekannten Prinzip und andererseits, dass der Geschichte einfach etwas fehlt. Es plätschert alles ohne große Höhen und Tiefen vor sich hin und auch die Arbeit der drei Jungs konnte mich jetzt nnicht so mitreißen.
Kritisieren muss ich leider auch den Schreibstil, wobei ich mich frage, ob das eventuell auch an der Übersetzung liegt, denn vieles klingt einfach nur hölzern und gestelzt. Bei vielen Formulierungen bin ich darüber gestolpert, dass Personen in dem Alter der Protagonisten so einfach nicht reden. Es klang vieles sehr altbacken und völlig unpassend zur Geschichte und den Personen.
Ich werde die Reihe vermutlich nicht weiterverfolgen, da ich leider keine Anreize bekommen habe, die mich an der weiteren Geschichte interessieren würde.
Nach Calendar Girl und Trinity war ich sehr gespannt auf die neue Reihe der Autorin und hatte recht hohe Erwartungen. Leider muss ich sagen, dass mich das Buch doch ziemlich enttäuscht hat.

Thankful for receiving this book as an arc through from Montlake Romance in exchange for an honest review.
This is actually my first book from this author and it won't be my last. She is very popular and I have had her on my to read just never had time. Now I know I have been missing out on some good writing.
This is Volume 1 of International Guy which includes three books. We meet International Guy in Paris, New York, and Copenhagen. What is an International Guy? They are three best friends who are more like brothers. Who have created a company where they are consultants in all areas. For example finance, personal styling, lifecoach and anything they need to do. This volume is hot, funny and had me shed a few tears as well. I really can't wait to read the next volume. Copenhagen ended in a cliffhanger which shocked me, but I understand why. The characters are very relatable and make you want more.

Romances with international flair…
I love this author’s stories. The Trinity and Lotus House series are some of my all-time favourites. The characters, their situations, the steam and witty dialogue – all came together to make memorable stories. That easy writing style and effortless character development was found in abundance in these first reads of the International Guy series. This series revolves around three handsome, charismatic friends who cater to the requests of the world’s elite. The premise is similar to that found in the Calendar Girl series except these bachelors are going to find their one and only… In completely unique ways…
I struggled with this review because I loved so much about these reads. They were fun and flirty, steamy and warm, with dialogue and scenarios that tick an abundance of my 'must have' boxes. I didn’t connect with the characters like I wanted and I suspect it’s the plot arc rather than the characters or the mechanics of it. I would recommend these reads, regardless, because if this plotline resonates with you then you will love all that comes with it. ~Diane, 3.5 stars

Nach "Calendar Girl" und "Trinity" (das aber älter ist als "Calender Girl") beschert uns der Ullstein Verlag den Auftakt zur neuen Reihe von Erfolgsautorin Audrey Carlan. Ich gestehe, dass ich schon mit den früheren Büchern der Autorin zum Teil auf Kriegsfuß gestanden habe, trotzdem war ich neugierig, was sie uns in ihrer neuen Reihe präsentieren würde. Die Idee, Erotikromane für Frauen aus der Sicht des Mannes zu schreiben, war für mich jedenfalls neu :).
Wie bei "Calendar Girl" ist auch dieses Buch in drei Teile untergliedert, die jeweils eine eigene Geschichte erzählen, auch wenn es einen roten Faden gibt. Dieses Konzept ist ganz klar von "Calendar Girl" kopiert, auch wenn der Protagonist durch zwölf verschiedene Städte reisen wird, nicht zwölf verschiedene Monate erleben.
Der Aufbau ist aber nicht das Einzige, was Carlan von sich selbst kopiert hat, auch das Prinzip, den Mann jeden Monat mit einem anderen Kunden zusammenzuspannen, begegnet uns hier wieder. Zwar ist Parker kein Callboy, hat aber mit zwei Freunden zusammen eine Agentur, mit der sie ihre Kundinnen auf Vordermann bringen - und zwar in jeder Hinsicht.
Überzeugend erzählt wird diese Geschichte allerdings auch dieses Mal nicht, welche Frau, die halbwegs was im Kopf hat, würde solche Männer engagieren, die gleich beim ersten Treffen auf Tuchfühlung gehen und die Kundin "Baby" nennen? Aber gut, Carlan ist nicht für ihr realistisch geschriebenen Geschichten bekannt ... Das merkt man auch beim Auftakt zum dritten Teil "Kopenhagen", wo sie darauf hinweist, dass ihr die verschiedenen europäischen Titel in den Fürstenhäusern zu kompliziert waren und sie deswegen ihre Fantasie hat spielen lassen ... Yeah!
Die Protagonisten selbst fand ich von Anfang an nicht wirklich sympathisch. Es kommt zwar zu Beginn heraus, warum Parker niemanden mehr an sich heranlässt, aber das Machogehabe und ihre Einstellung Frauen gegenüber sind mit der Zeit beim Lesen einfach nur anstrengend. Und dass die Frauen das nicht stört, lässt schon tief blicken in das, was die Autorin gut findet ...
Die Sexszenen sind - mit Verlaub - einfach nur null erotisch. Da auch sie aus der Sicht des Mannes geschrieben sind, hatte ich nicht ansatzweise das Gefühl, dass hier irgendwie eine Spannung erzeugt wird. Im Gegenteil, es wirkt einfach nur nach Schema F runtergeschrieben, einzig und allein das bereits in den früheren Geschichten verwendete Vokabular entlockte mir dieses Mal (ein sehr wahrscheinlich nicht beabsichtigtes) Lachen. Aber sorry, bei dem Bild, dass die Frau wie eine Stoffpuppe auf dem Penis des Mannes herumhüpft - da konnte ich einfach nur lachen.
Fazit: In Summe wirken diese drei Teile wie eine sehr, sehr platte Kopie von "Calendar Girl". Die Autorin versucht damit wohl, an ihren Erfolg mit der früheren Reihe anzuknüpfen, aber ob ihr das mit diesen Büchern gelingen wird, halte ich für mehr als fragwürdig ... Daher meiner Meinung nach nur empfehlenswert für absolute Fans der Autorin, es gibt definitiv Besseres im Bereich Erotik.
PS: Den zweiten Stern gibt es wegen des Humors ... :P

International Guy Volume 1: Paris, New York, Copenhagen is an EPIC start to a serial that combines realistic emotions and needs with extraordinary situations, and naturally, it comes from the wicked talented Audrey Carlan.
Parker Ellis…fits his title of Dream Maker, and it’s not just because of his prowess in the bedroom. He truly sees what a woman needs, and in these cases, his female clients. It’s as if he knows the women better than they do. They all come out of the experience with enlightened knowledge of themselves, even Parker, himself. He doesn’t go into each case with set plans. His mind is open to possibilities and this virtue benefits all his clients and the people around them. I’d love to have someone like Parker, even as a friend, although during football season, we won’t be able to be friends. LOL. In Paris, he helped a perfume heiress bloom. He did not give her anything she didn’t already have, but the way he did it, it shows just why his title fits. In New York, his dreams come true while he works to save the heart and sanity of Hollywood’s hottest starlet. In Copenhagen, he works with European royalty to open eyes and hearts.
Bogart Montgomery…one of his chosen brothers, is quite the character. He’s wicked smart and intuitive, and he’s the joker of the trio. What else will make you laugh about him? You have to read it to find out. I will say though, he made me grin, chuckle, and roll my eyes as he assisted in Paris, New York, and Copenhagen.
Royce Sterling…Parker’s other chosen brother, is MINE. LOL. Everything about this man, from his panty-melting physical characteristics to his protectiveness makes me want to grab him and hold on for dear life. Amongst the three of them, he’s the serious suit-clad brother who works the financial side of the Paris client’s needs while Parker and Bogart finish their jobs there and move on to New York and Copenhagen.
I cannot wait to see what else is in store for the International Guy team, especially with their genius addition! I loved every single moment in all three books!

Dream Maker - Sehnsucht

Wieder einmal ein blumiges Thema, welches mir aber im Vergleich mit anderen Buchcovern dieser Art nicht so gut gefällt. Mir sind die Blumen einfach zu groß und dominant.

Dies ist der erste Teil, einer bisher 4-teiligen Serie. Worum geht es? Um richtige Männer und "Brüder im Geiste", die zusammen eine Firma führen. Diese bietet Dienstleistungen aller Art für Frauen an um diese in jeder erdenklichen Lebenslage zu unterstützen. Sei es das Business, Geld oder deren Lebens- und Liebesglück. Wir treffen auf Parker Ellis, der Dream Maker und seine beiden Partner Bogart ‚Bo‘ Montgomery, der Love Maker, und Royce Sterling, der Money Maker. Auf Grund der Gleichberichtigung im Buch ist dieses aber keines Wegs sexistisch, was man vielleicht an Hand der gebotenen Dienstleisungen meinen könnte. Im ersten Band haben wir 3 Handlungsorte und somit auch 3 Frauen, denen es zu helfen gilt. Bei einer dann auch wird dann auch gern sehr persönlich geholfen.
Die Protas des Buches sind angenehm symphatisch und vielfältig ausgearbeitet und der spritzige Humor zwischen den Zeilen lässt keine Langeweile beim Leser aufkommen. Was einem sehr guten Schreibstil zu verdanken ist und einem ordentlichen Schuss Erotik. Durch das eher offene Ende mit einem Mißverständnis wird die Neugier auf den nächsten Band beim Leser geweckt. Ich gebe diesem Buch gerne 4/5 Sterne, da es eine angenehme Flucht aus dem Alltag bietet.

Der "Dreammaker" hatte für mich leider so gar keinen Charakter, außer "Frauen sind geil" (mag am Genre liegen)
Es war mir einfach zu langweilig und uninteressant. Aber vielleicht gebe ich dem Ganzen irgendwann später nochmal eine Chance. Ich mag es eigentlich überhaupt nicht, Bücher unbeendet zu lassen.

Parker führt mit seinen beiden besten Freunden eine Agentur, die Frauen ihr Leben erleichtern soll. Dabei bereisen die Jungs verschiedene Länder und stellen sich den ungewöhnlichsten Aufgaben, um ihren Kundinnen die vollst Zufriedenheit zu verschaffen...
Ich hatte vor zwei Jahren über Vorablesen bereits den ersten Teil von Audrey Carlans Calendar Girl Reihe erhalten, der mich leider so gar nicht begeistern wollte. Ihre folgenden Bücher ließ ich daher aus. Dennoch war ich auf den Einstieg ihrer neuen Reihe gespannt und freute mich auf das Hörbuch, welches von Alicia Hofer und Sven Macht eingelesen wurde.
Die Geschichte wird hauptsächlich aus der Sicht unserer Protagonisten Parker eingesprochen. Er ist mit seiner Agentur recht erfolgreich und liebt seinen luxuriösen Lebensstil. Er trägt teuere Kleidung und genießt die Anwesenheit schöner Frauen. Seine Kundinnen sind dabei tabu, eigentlich...
Das Buch gliedert sich in 3 Teile. Im ersten hilft Parker der jungen Unternehmenserbin Sophie in Paris dabei ihre Rolle als Geschäftsführerin einzunehmen. Das Patentrezept der Jungs ist dabei ein klassisches Umstyling, denn nur rasiert und frisiert, scheint sie von ihren MitarbeiterInnen ernst genommen zu werden, meinen sie. Mir stieß diese Message ziemlich auf. Sophie wird nur auf ihr Äußeres reduziert, dass sie möglicherweise selbst es schaffen könnte, wird gar nicht thematisiert. Doch die Leistungen, die Parker bei Sophie erbrachte, liefen über Oberflächlichkeiten und "Beckenbodentraining" nicht hinaus. Also ich weiß wirklich nicht, warum die Agentur von den Kundinnen rege gebucht wird und warum man für diese "Sonderleistungen" tatsächlich Geld ausgeben sollte.
Überhaupt scheint die Haupthandlung des Buches aus erotischen Zwischenmenschlichkeiten zu bestehen, denn nachdem Sophie fertig herausgeputzt war, ging es weiter nach New York, wo Parker Schauspielerin Skylar, für die er schon immer schwärmte, aus der Schaffenskrise verhalf. Die Verbindung zwischen beiden wird noch intensiver und zieht sich durch das restliche Buch.
Im dritten Abschnitt muss Parker in Kopenhagen einer dänischen Prinzessin die Leviten lesen und ihr auf den Thron verhelfen.
Also die Mischung ist wirklich absurd und ich habe bis zum Ende nicht verstanden, warum irgendjemand diesen "Service" buchen sollte. Als würde ein europäisches Königshaus einen schnöseligen Amerikaner buchen, der sich von A nach B vögelt.
Doch dies waren nicht die einzigen Logikfehler, so will ich fast nicht glauben, dass eine amerikanische Autorin mal eben den 11. September in die Neunziger verfrachtete!
Mich nervte auch tierisch das selbstherrliche Auftreten der Protagonisten. Natürlich waren sie absolut perfekt und alles atemberaubend! Ich glaube, in keinem anderen Buch habe ich seit langem so oft von "harten Schwänzen" und "frechen, kleinen Hintern" lesen müssen!
Audrey Carlan bewies für mich leider mal wieder, dass das mit dem Schreiben nicht ganz so ihr Ding ist!
Allein die Tatsache, dass ich das Hörbuch hörte, rettet "Dream Maker" in meinen Augen. Die Sprecher machten einen tollen Job! Sodass ich ihnen, trotz des Inhaltes gerne zuhörte. Mal ehrlich, ich konnte auch nicht weg, denn schließlich saß ich im Auto auf den Weg nach Rügen. Aber irgendwie machte es doch Spaß zusammen mit meinem Freund den Sprechern zu lauschen und über das Gehörte zu lästern.
Hätte ich "Dream Maker. Sehnsucht" von Audrey Carlan als Print gelesen, ich hätte es abgebrochen! Alicia Hofer und Sven Macht trugen mich allerdings durch das Hörbuch und mochten aufgrund des Inhalts sicher ein wenig an ihrer Berufswahl gezweifelt haben...^^

Mir stieß diese Message ziemlich auf. Sophie wird nur auf ihr Äußeres reduziert, dass sie möglicherweise selbst es schaffen könnte, wird gar nicht thematisiert. Doch die Leistungen, die Parker bei Sophie erbrachte, liefen über Oberflächlichkeiten und "Beckenbodentraining" nicht hinaus. Also ich weiß wirklich nicht, warum die Agentur von den Kundinnen rege gebucht wird und warum man für diese "Sonderleistungen" tatsächlich Geld ausgeben sollte.
Überhaupt scheint die Haupthandlung des Buches aus erotischen Zwischenmenschlichkeiten zu bestehen, denn nachdem Sophie fertig herausgeputzt war, ging es weiter nach New York, wo Parker Schauspielerin Skylar, für die er schon immer schwärmte, aus der Schaffenskrise verhalf. Die Verbindung zwischen beiden wird noch intensiver und zieht sich durch das restliche Buch.
Im dritten Abschnitt muss Parker in Kopenhagen einer dänischen Prinzessin die Leviten lesen und ihr auf den Thron verhelfen.
Also die Mischung ist wirklich absurd und ich habe bis zum Ende nicht verstanden, warum irgendjemand diesen "Service" buchen sollte. Als würde ein europäisches Königshaus einen schnöseligen Amerikaner buchen, der sich von A nach B vögelt.
Doch dies waren nicht die einzigen Logikfehler, so will ich fast nicht glauben, dass eine amerikanische Autorin mal eben den 11. September in die Neunziger verfrachtete!
Mich nervte auch tierisch das selbstherrliche Auftreten der Protagonisten. Natürlich waren sie absolut perfekt und alles atemberaubend! Ich glaube, in keinem anderen Buch habe ich seit langem so oft von "harten Schwänzen" und "frechen, kleinen Hintern" lesen müssen!
Audrey Carlan bewies für mich leider mal wieder, dass das mit dem Schreiben nicht ganz so ihr Ding ist!
Allein die Tatsache, dass ich das Hörbuch hörte, rettet "Dream Maker" in meinen Augen. Die Sprecher machten einen tollen Job! Sodass ich ihnen, trotz des Inhaltes gerne zuhörte. Mal ehrlich, ich konnte auch nicht weg, denn schließlich saß ich im Auto auf den Weg nach Rügen. Aber irgendwie machte es doch Spaß zusammen mit meinem Freund den Sprechern zu lauschen und über das Gehörte zu lästern.
Hätte ich "Dream Maker. Sehnsucht" von Audrey Carlan als Print gelesen, ich hätte es abgebrochen! Alicia Hofer und Sven Macht trugen mich allerdings durch das Hörbuch und mochten aufgrund des Inhalts sicher ein wenig an ihrer Berufswahl gezweifelt haben...^^

While I've heard fantastic things about Ms. Carlan's books I hadn't read one. I must say I am impressed by her writing and ability to draw a reader into her world.
1: Paris
While I really enjoyed this story I didn't fall in love with it. There was no particular thing, I just didn't connect to the story. The writing was great and set in the romance capital of the world which was fantastic. Since I didn't know anything about the series I felt a little punched in the gut when there wasn't a traditional HEA. Overall I'd give this one 3 stars.
2. New York
Now this one was my favorite!!! I loved the feel of this one and completely fell for Parker and Skyler. Their chemistry was just on point and the easy way they fell into one another so completely really drew me in. This one is deserving of all 5 stars!!!
3. Copenhagen
I really liked this one and it fell in the middle of the order in which I liked each novella. I loved Princess Christina. The way she was willing to back down to ensure her country had the proper Queen even if it meant breaking her own heart along with that of the man she loves but Parker will ensure the rightful Queen sits on the throne.
This one ends on a cliffhanger with Parker and Skyler. Can't wait to see what the next one has in store for them.

Ich gebe ja nicht auf. Audrey Carlans Ideen klingen immer so verlockend und gehen in meinen Augen immer auf, sodass ich wirklich immer wieder zu ihren Büchern greife. Viel erwarten sollte man dabei tatsächlich nicht. Audrey Carlan unterhält und wenn man so etwas sucht, dann ist es in meinen Augen mehr als in Ordnung, wenn das Buch keine wichtigen Themen anspricht. In letzter Zeit habe ich jedoch viel im Bereich YA und NA gelesen, was mir ein wenig den Glauben an das Genre zurückgegeben hat: Tolle Geschichten, gesunde Beziehungen, diverse Charaktere und und und. Das in Dream Maker zu finden, habe ich nicht erwartet, etwas enttäuscht, als ich es dann wirklich nicht gefunden habe, war ich dann jedoch schon.
Wie viele von Audrey Carlans Büchern ist auch Dream Maker im Original in zwölf kleinere Bücher unterteilt, die wiederum im Deutsche zu je drei Büchern zusammengefasst werden. So beinhaltet Sehnsucht die ersten drei Bücher und somit auch die ersten drei Kundinnen. Die zweite ist dabei auch direkt Paker Ellis großer Schwarm. Fragt nicht, welch großer Zufall das sein muss, dass er ausgerechnet die Schauspielerin, für die er schwärmt zur Kundin bekommt und die auch noch auf ihn anspringt, ich fand es aber für den Rest des Buches und sicher auch für den Rest der Reihe angenehm, dass er sich nicht von Bett zu Bett vögelt, wie er es auch noch im ersten Buch des Sammelbands getan hat.
Und hier hört das, was ich über Dream Maker sagen kann auch eigentlich schon auf. Und das ist dabei überhaupt nicht böse gemeint! International Guy is a company that specializes in helping people with unique problems, problems that are out of the norm. This book has the three novellas and I really enjoyed it a lot. These guys that are part of this company are best friends, more like family than friends. They love women and each one of them specialize in different aspects. For instance, one is Dream Maker, one is Lovemaker and last is Moneymaker. They know how to work together and give the client what they need, or what they are asking for. I love these short stories, they are funny, the guys are sexy and each one is unique in it's own. I love Audrey Carlan's books and I know you will love these.

Die Idee des Jobs ist interessant aber irgendwie auch komisch. Ich habe Band 2&4 (ja Band 3 habe ich irgendwie noch nicht😂) also werde ich die Reihe definitiv weiter hören. Bin mir allerdings noch etwas unsicher, was ich von der Reihe und all dem halten sollen.

ADVENTURE AWAITS!!
The Queen of serials does it again with Volume 1: the first 3-parter about a team of hot swoony men for hire to serve as “life coaches” of sorts to some high profile women.
Parker Ellis and his two best friends, Bo and Royce, run International Guy, Inc. They are consultants to some of the most beautiful and successful women in the world, because even the most successful and beautiful women on the outside, struggle with self-doubt and confidence issues.
“I’m going to make sure you can see the world and the people around you for who they are, and I’m definitely going help you show the world your truth.”
In each serial chapter we’re introduced to a new client and arts taken on an adventure in a new city: Paris then New York then Copenhagen. It’s a fantastic journey of cultural exploration as well as some learning into the heart and mind of one Parker Ellis. Not to mention a great crew of supporting characters sprinkled with bookish references (I’m looking at you, Van Dykens 😉)
Told from Parker’s point-of-view, this was a unique insight of the different types of friendships as Parker forms some unique bonds with these clients. He learns about himself and about his feelings and relationships with women. In particular, when he gets the chance to actually date his dream girl, their developing relationship stirs up confusion and feelings that he hasn’t experienced. It has him questioning, challenged, and showing a vulnerable side opposite of his uber confident alpha-male persona.
Overall, these serials are a good start and indication of some crazy trips to come!

For a long moment, I think about what she said and realize she’s right. “Touché.” I hold my glass up high once more. “To finding love that just is.”
Indeed. And this is the beginning of Parker Ellis’ story of finding that love. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the serials play out...

Audrey Carlan besitzt einen eher einfach gehaltenen Schreibstil, der sich flüssig liest und durchaus zu unterhalten weiß. Die Figuren sind – für die Länge, bzw. Kürze der Geschichte – gut gezeichnet, man lernt diese ausreichend kennen, allerdings sind diese nicht immer sympathisch. Ein Schwachpunkt sind hierbei auch die Dialoge, die sich oftmals doch sehr hölzern lesen.
Die Geschichte ist schnell erzählt: Parker Ellis ist der sogenannte Dream Maker, der zusammen mit seinen beiden Partnern Bogart und Royce die Agentur „International Guy“ führt. Hierbei fliegt er um die gesamte Welt, um seine Aufträge zu erfüllen, die hauptsächlich davon handeln, Frauen zu verführen, ihnen neues Selbstbewusstsein zu verleihen oder einfach einen netten Abend zu haben. In Paris, Kopenhagen und New York trifft er dabei auf die ersten Frauen, die unterschiedlicher nicht sein könnten.
Wenn man mal für ein paar Stunden den Kopf ausschalten möchte, wird man hier sicherlich gut unterhalten. Dennoch gibt es hier einen ganz großen Punkt, der mich doch sehr stört und das ist die Darstellung von Mann und Frau in den Büchern der Autorin. Während bislang immer die Frauen als nahezu perfekt und fast schon sexbesessen dargestellt werden, steht in der „Dream Maker City“-Reihe dieses Mal der Mann im Vordergrund, der natürlich unglaublich sexy, selbstbewusst und unwiderstehlich ist. Dies kann vielleicht mal nett sein, allerdings gefallen mir Figuren mit Ecken und Kanten deutlich besser als die oftmals viel zu aalglatten Figuren, die Audrey Carlan hier kreiert hat.
Das Cover ist dagegen ganz hübsch anzusehen und besticht mit tollen Farben. Die Kurzbeschreibung konnte mich ebenfalls überzeugen, sodass meine Neugierde am Ende gesiegt hat und ich dem Buch eine Chance geben wollte.

Paris is the journey of Sophie who has just inherited her family company and needs a little help from IG. Each man steps up to the plate to give Sophie the confidence boost she needs all the while Parker tries to keep in mind that she’s a client and tries to avoid slipping into her bed ;)
New York is actress Skyler who is in desperate need of Parker’s help and he desperately needs to stay away from her as she’s his all time celebrity crush. While building her self esteem, it sure does feel like Parker’s building a relationship as well!
Copenhagen is Parker’s chance to help Princess Christina come to terms with exactly why she doesn’t want to marry the love of her life and why she’s throwing herself to the media. The wild child needs to be tamed and Parker’s the man for the job.
This is the first time I’ve read Audrey Carlan and I absolutely loved these books! Each story was short and sweet, there was backstory to Parker’s life prior to IG, how he met Royce and Bo and most importantly, what woman did him wrong. I loved the banter, the friendship and family, and definitely the smoking hot sex scenes! I also enjoyed how the author threw in a few other authors into the storyline ;) Most importantly, I loved how each story was about building these women up, giving them back their lives and teaching them the self confidence to keep on moving through this crazy thing we call life!
