Dear Friend, Soon after I moved to Breckenridge, Colorado in 2016, I received the opportunity to write a weekly faith column for our local newspaper, The Summit Daily News. I called the column, Walking Our Faith, although truthfully, the column was mostly about my walk of faith. I was brutally honest about how my struggle with depression, and the seeming silence of God in my unanswered prayers, and there were times when finished a column in tears of resignation. As I begin my third year of writing the column, I realize that writing about my walk of faith has changed me and my relationship with God. The columns I've collected in this book, reflect that journey as it was shaped through my relationship with women in a Wednesday afternoon knitting group, my church, and the long-distance relationship my mother and I formed during our first time living apart from one another after twenty years. If we are willing, God draws us closer as we actively seek him. But the journey to the heart of Jesus is never without challenges to our confidence or our faith. I believe that is why Jesus brings people and circumstances into our lives at just the right moment to help us along the way. I hope these short essays will be a companion as you seek a closer walk with God. With much love, Suzanne Elizabeth
