Sometimes Love Can Be Arranged.

Arav Shetty had it all. The handsome, self-made billionaire topped the list of New York’s most eligible bachelors and sat at the helm of the city’s biggest tech empire. He also had a plan - buy out the brilliant upstart nipping at his heels, and dominate as the biggest and best tech company in New York.

The strategy had worked for him in the past. He had the resources and skills to pull it off. And, he was determined to overcome his father’s dark legacy, and prove he had what it took to stay on top. Nothing would distract him from his goal. He’d buy out his biggest rival but the company’s owner, Nisha Jain wasn’t the pushover he believed.

Nisha Jain had a plan, too. Born with a silver spoon in her mouth, her early years had been a carefully scripted fairy tale. She was determined to make everyone sit up and notice when she achieved stupendous success - without her father's money or brand influence. She knew she was on the right path when her biggest competitor wanted to meet with her.

But when they met, nothing went as planned.

Neither expected the instant spark of attraction, nor the hurtful words tossed around like confetti. With meddling family members and an arranged marriage thrown into the mix, the fate of both companies - and Arav and Nisha’s undeniable attraction – hung precariously. What was supposed to be a cakewalk became more complicated than either ever imagined.

Compromises needed to be made. But between a billionaire whose life work is on the line and an heiress out to prove her own worth, who would blink first?

This is a clean, contemporary romance based out of New York City.
This is a stand-alone, full length novel with no cliffhangers.

I loved this sweet romance between Nisha and Avra. They have a unique story that keeps you drawn in where you don’t want to put the book down. It had a great ending, and I can’t wait to read more in Shilpa Mudiganti’s next book.

Startup Fiancé was the first book in the Startup series by Shilpa Mudiganti. It was also my first book by the author.

Arav Shetty was a 32 yr old, self made billionaire. He was running from his past when he started TechNotes 8 yrs ago. He had a reputation for being tall, dark and ruthless. His company was his life so it didn’t mix well for finding a wife. However, it didn’t stop his uncle from asserting his Indian heritage to find a wife for an arranged marriage.

Nisha Jain was the beautiful and successful founder of a new fast growing start up company that was gaining significant ground on TechNotes. She had just broken off her engagement from her arranged marriage because he didn’t respect her choice to work.

I loved the premise of the storyline in addition to Mudiganti’s description for a modern day arranged marriage within the Indian culture. I enjoyed the customs, respect and loyalty to heritage it depicted.

The Startup Fiancé was well written, well developed, entertaining and a quick read. I enjoyed the bantering as well as the plot. It wasn’t particularly unpredictable but it was fun, light hearted and an enjoyable read none the less. It was also purely “clean” with no implied or descriptive sex scenes, for those looking for that path. Personally, I would love a descriptive scene a two. :-)

I’m thrilled the series will continue. I loved Arav’s best friend and CFO, Ryan, and I’m totally looking forward to his story next, bring it on!

I received this book free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily reviewed this book. This was my honest review.

LOVED IT. Startup Fiance is an enemies-to-lovers romance (zero sex but lots of spark - but not faith-based, if that makes sense) set in NYC that features two Indian-American tech moguls who are fierce competitors. When they finally meet, however, sparks FLY! I absolutely love the fierce tech-y female lead, and her male counterpart is SUCH a modern gentleman who strongly supports the feminist agenda. There are strong cultural and family storylines throughout the book with an arranged marriage thrown in for good measure.
.
I absolutely gobbled this up and can't wait for the next in the series - the author has assured me it is coming out in April 2019!

I so enjoyed this Novella length love story. The author did a great job of writing a very complete and believable story in it's length. Arav is one of those leading men you wished all others were patterned after. He has over come a sad past and has built his own amazing future now he just needs a girl to be a partner and help him complete it. Nisha is a strong female lead still trying to find her feet. These two complimented each other so well. The author did an amazing job of creating tension and feeling with these two.
Language> Not much a couple of Damns and some religious swear words.
Drugs>Drinking by the father.
Sex>A couple of kisses and cuddling. Some innuendo and references to it, but it would be a book I would let my older teen read.

I enjoyed reading the book and having had an arranged marriage myself, I was glad to read a book about one and that too set in the US. And the best part is that it is not a marriage for convenience type of a story but more of rivals turned lovers story.
The story is well written and a fast paced. The characters have been portrayed beautifully and are well developed and realistic. I loved how the author has described both their feelings, but she has described Arav’s feelings in detail. Usually, books talk about the feelings of the female protagonist and we come to know when she realises that she is love. I liked how they kept aside their professional differences and decided to give their personal relationship a try. I loved the secondary characters especially, the modern grandmother, Sohni Jain and her love for romances. I loved the easy banter between Nisha and her grandmother and also how she conspires with Arav. And Nisha’s father, he was a force to reckon with and how Arav stood his ground. The Indian culture and family values have been depicted well. Arav’s relationship with his uncle could have been explored further. I really wanted to meet Nisha’s other and also know about her mother.
The author’s own background in computers helps in how she could describe the technical aspects in the book. she has described locations and scenes in detail, be it Nisha’s office, her home or the clothes.
The next book is the story of Arav’s best friend and his CFO, Ryan Penn and Nisha’s sister, Anshi Jain, and the author has mentioned a bit about this story in the epilogue.

I know nothing about Indian culture and traditions and definitely nothing about arranged marriages. I like the idea of an "arranged marriage" out of true love. Yes, this sounds contradictory but Nisha and Arav did it. Nisha is a strong woman who tries to stand on her own feet, without daddies money and without support from a fiance. And Arav is willing to step back for their love and their life together. I liked all of Shilpas characters (except Niks) and that I learned a bit about Indian culture. This was an enjoyable, short read and I think I'm going to read the next book in this series because I'm really curious about Nishas sister and Ryan😉

First, I’d like to commend the author for that author’s note. Some parts may be confusing if the culture was not explained beforehand.

Now I’ll try to make a thorough review without spoiling much of the story.

The characters were intense. Arav is this hot guy who passionate with his life’s work, and may have gotten ahead of himself for a few times. Nisha is as passionate too. She is like a perfect blend of a modern woman but with respect to tradition. The rest of the characters are also very interesting, the personalities shine in their own unique way.

For the plot, while the big reveal may be something some of us may have guessed, what makes it interesting are the moments before and after the big reveal. What my most favorite part of the book is? Hacker night. This scene has a lot of good banters between the main characters. The ending is just as good too.

My only issue sis that I hope there is more to it. No, this is not like insta-love (insta-attraction, yes, and thank goodness the author was able to pull off the chemistry between the two characters), this is also not a novella, but I don’t mind reading if it was longer. I was hoping for more banter between the hero and heroine because it was fun to read.

Overall, this is a really good book of mixing traditions into the modern day world and finding love – or letting others find love for you. I hoped it was longer so I get to enjoy it more, but nevertheless, it was very entertaining to read and I suggest you guys try it.

Business mixed with sweet romance…Arav Shetty, a multi-millionaire, is proud of the success that he has built from the ground up. Arav feels threaten by a new app that is taking away a portion of his customers. When Arav meets Nisha Jain, his major competitor, he has mixed feelings about her. When Arav realizes that his family thinks that Nisha is a great match for him, Arav want to take a second look. Since Arav left a bad first impression, Nisha isn't so sure. Nisha has met too many powerful men who look down at her career. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. Overall, I liked the book. I didn't connect with the characters at first but I did in the end. Arav and Nisha are strong, likable characters. I would read another book by author. It is a sweet romance.

Arav and Nisha are two people alike in many ways that have a dream to be the best but since they are also rivals it isn’t easy. When Arav’s uncle sends him a profile of a single young woman little did he know it was Nisha’s. They met for coffee not because of the profile but of business, but when Arav saw Nisha for the first time things started to happen. Wasn’t alone of feeling of alone. These two get off the wrong way and it’s a back and fourth from bad to good. Arav stands up for Nisha honor at a wedding when someone tries to make her feel bad or feel like nothing. This is a great book. I’ve never read from this author and was a great start to a good series.

Startup Fiance begins with the descriptions of Arav Shetty's and Nisha Jain's budding empires. The beautiful and talented King and Queen of the Notes app can only think of acquiring the other's business so as to be the best in the field but that's not to be. With the typical 'Indian-ness' of the story arrives the concept of arranged marriages and as luck would have it, Arav and Nisha are judged to be perfectly paired. While in the real world, they would both refuse a relationship that is too complicated to be worth their time, here we see them both agreeing to 'see where this goes'.

Now enters the villain of the story, Nisha's masochistic ex, Nikhil. Nikhil provides the perfect opportunity to showcase our hero's strength, both physical and emotional. However, the aftermath is what makes the story interesting. While Nisha struggles to accept that Arav's feelings towards her are real, Arav does the unthinkable. For a character portrayed as being overly passionate about his company, giving it up seems a tad too unbelievable. But as the author's bio says, she loves to create happy endings and a happy ending is what we get in this book. I wish the book was better edited to avoid all the spelling errors which made the read very jarring. The story could have been a bit more elaborate to give us the sense of each character but it remained a nicely rounded romantic story that has the potential to be converted into a typical IT-profession based Bollywood movie.

Do arranged marriages still work?
With both of them competing against each other in business will they find a way to love?
Their uncle and grandmother decide that they are perfectly matched but how can they be when they are competitors?
Arav thinks that Nisha is just a pampered pricess that got daddy's help to start her business where as he worked from the bottom up, when he learns he is wrong his feelings begin to change in to something more.
Nisha is tired of all the men in her life treating her life's work as a hobby will she find someone who supports her the whole way?.
I really liked this book, a great read.

A lovely journey throughout the read! Every emotion is beautifully carved into words leaving the reader to live in that moment. The characters go deep into the reader's mind and so I am with Arav and Nisha. My 1st read from the author. You are an amazing and a talented writer Ms. Mudiganti. Way to go!

I was intrigued by this book because of the cultural aspects of it and I’m so happy I took a chance on this amazing book because it was so much more than just that! Arav is a self made man who is doing all he can to fight the demons of his past. Nisha is a woman fighting in a mans world! When the match makers of each families suggest these two Nisha doesn’t think they’re a good match while Arav does what he can to show them all he is what Nisha needs!

I loved the strength that Nisha has and Arav’s willingness to do what he needs for the woman he desires but will it be enough?

I also loved how the author crafted her epilogue. It was different but also catchy and has me excited for the next book!

Rich and Deep Romance
While this is not a very long story, it is rich and deep. There is more depth to these characters than in some novels twice as long. The plot and emotion rings very true. This is a sweet and clean romance, yet it lacks nothing. I will be reading everything that this writer produces! I received this book for free and voluntarily chose to post my honest review.

Driven, Arva built his tech company from the ground up. His company has been very successful leading his empire to the top despite of the dark secret of his past. Now he has a strong competitor fighting for his position and he is slowly losing his clients.
Nisha is determined to become one of the top women empires of the tech world. Starting her company from the ground up refusing any help from her wealthy father.
She is tired of being used and manipulated by men.
When Arva and Nisha meet there is an instant chemistry but words of hurt and pain get in the way.
Shilpa Mudganti has beautifully written a love story of an Indian couple with old and new traditions. A prearranged marriage but only if both parties agree. I enjoyed the descriptions of the Indian wedding attire.
I fell in love with the characters and the sacrifice that was made in order for them to be together.

A modern day arranged -marriage love story. Nrav is a fierce business owner uninterested in dating but willing to "meet" with the lady of his uncle -the match maker's- choosing. Nisha is the selected match for Nrav and his business rival. Willing to give their families match making a chance, Nrav makes an awful first impression but fights a second chance seeing Nisha as potentially more. This is unique take on the idea of an arranged marriage is both intriguing and an interesting read. Both well written and enjoyable, I can't imagine anyone not liking this story.

This was a cute and fast read. I loved the idea that the two CEOs of companies are the ones who happen to be the match their family wants to see. A bit predictable and I have to say it was annoying to see the main character believing a magazine article so easily. I would hope in her position she would be a bit smarter. Also I didn't quite get the epilogue. Why would it be from the sister's POV we only hear about once or twice?

Arranged marriages are definitely not the norm today, however Nisha Jain and Arav Shetty realize that tradition is something they can’t let go. With a mutual attraction, they seem to let their competing business get in the way of love. Arav knows he needs to prove himself and with the help of family, he just might open Nisha eyes that their attraction can’t be denied.
Shilpa Mudiganti has written a book combining old and new traditions and well worth a read.

A fresh look at romance, this book brings into focus the challenges that face young people in a first world country whilst at the same time as adhering to the traditions being imposed on them by their proud families. Arav and Nisha are competitors for the top position in their dot com companies, both of them fiercely protective of their markets and working against each other to gain a one or two percent market share at the expense of the other. That is until they discover that their meddling families have arranged a marriage between them. Arev is an arrogant self-made man with suppressed anger emanating from the sins of his father. Nisha is essentially a sweet young woman, doing her best to keep the balance between maintaining her right to make her own decisions while at the same time giving her father the respect he demands. Neither Arav nor Nisha set out to find romance, but the attraction between them is undeniable. With a determined father, an ex-fiance who refuses to take no as an answer and reporters pursuing their every move, Arav and Nisha are caught up in a battle to find their way over the hurdles in their path. I enjoyed this clean romance with some suspense, as well as the insights into another culture. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review.
