TForgotten Gods #2

Goddess Scorned

Rate this book
Hell hath no fury, like a goddess scorned...

OK, so I accepted Kronin’s call to defeat the Forgotten Gods and save the earth.

But don’t thank me yet. Just because I’m on the job doesn’t mean it will be easy—even with the Gladius Solis at my side and the power of Carcerum coursing through my veins.

The problem is that the Forgotten aren’t your run of the mill villains. They’re, well...gods. Which means they’re violent, powerful, and crafty as hell.

And all manner of human scum is flocking to their side.

Along with my vampire problems, strange beauties have started appearing throughout the country, seducing men and women of great power. But I’ve got a hunch that there’s more to these ladies than an alluring smile.

I’m just not sure I want to find out what it is.

Goddess Scorned is the action-packed sequel to Forgotten Gods. It follows the adventures of Vic Stratton and her allies as they seek to defend the world from the evil trying to devour it.

Unfortunately, sometimes evil wears a pretty face.

I read book two as I did book one; almost without knowing it. Let me explain, I started the sample of book one and low and behold, I read all the things. Now I decide to peak a bit in book two to see how the story would progress... and I read the book completely. So let's just say that this series is very easy-to-read and will put its hooks (claws) into you quickly. Not very deep to definitely entertaining with a fun main character. Remind me of the TV series Merlin, not in the subject Mather but in the way it's a little series that you don't go out of your way to recommend to your friends (like some of the other bigger/AAA blockbuster series) but a series that you watch with gleeful guiltiness.

Really enjoyed this story

Love how Vic is making friends. Deacon is becoming more to her, will she get his help? I am waiting for Vic to get stronger and more sure of herself. Where is her help and she needs money.

Goddess Scorned (The Forgotten Gods Series Book 2)

The continuous adventure of Vic and Marcus. Marcus is dead and his spirit now live in a medallion. Now Vic is go to the west coast to fight the forgotten gods and she learn of other creatures. Can she win this time? Kind of slow in the action.

The action continues...

Vic and Marcus continue on their quest to stamp out the gods’ evil, and make a new friend along the way. It’s interesting to see the range of emotions in not only Vic, but the gods and demigods as well.

More of the backstory comes to light, and Vic grows in her skills. Book 3 will be awesome!

This was so good

This book was really hard to put down. It was fast paced and exciting. Really hard to put down. I am enjoying the development of the characters, the change in attitude of the main character. I also like that she still is affected by past actions and has her humanity still intact.
