First time ever I read about Bart HES SO SILLY I LOVE HIM and his dynamic with Tim is so good!! I love how Tim is more professional and constantly stressed out meanwhile Bart is just enjoying himself lmao.
Holy crap, this was the first time Tim Drake and Impulse met? That feels like it should be a big deal, given how they were more or less best friends in the subsequent decades. THIS is the start of Young Justice? And I knew I liked Mark Waid, but hadn't realized I had him to thank.
This was a surprisingly good issue. Robin and Impulse team up when they meet by chance on a ski trip. Their support cast appears just long enough to meet each other and look worried. Then, through bizarre happenstance, they end up combatting a Cold War-era nuclear threat.
I'm also thrown by this "Mystral" character who teamed up with Robin and Impulse. I have been reading comics for 30 years, but I don't know her. I don't know DC as well as I know Marvel, but I'm still baffled that I have no idea who she is. Guess I'm about to go look her up now...
