Claire is back! And of course here come the problems! Her best friend has been fairy-napped and here comes her dad willing to wave around a threat or two. He practically DEMANDS that Claire find out who took his beloved daughter and get her back, and that if she doesn't that he has no qualms about killing her. Yikes! The Fairy King may make her lady parts tingle, but that attitude will get him exactly nowhere fast! But even without the threats, he could have just asked. Claire loves her friend to death and would do anything to save her. Add in that Claire receives a request to come to handle a certain situation overseas, and she's off again looking for trouble. She finds that and a lot more when she goes to visit her "inherited" property. That place is packed full of more issues than Claire can shake a stick at, but being the gentle-hearted vamp that she is, she is determined to help those who need it and are willing to take it. But she's gotta keep her wits about her. There's a murderer on the loose and he's got his sights set on exterminating the supes and Claire fits the profile perfectly.
Something Bound by Alex Owens is her fourth book in the Shadow Vampire series and I absolutely LOVED it!! I was immediately wracked with giggles not far into the story. The characters are still as fun and interesting as they were in the first three books. Claire still has that awesome attitude that I absolutely love. Her ex-husband is still a dip, and her daughter...well...her daughter is a preteen. So what can you say really? LOL! Things certainly move like a well-oiled machine in this book. The pace is perfect, the storyline is engaging and a blast to read. I couldn't get enough of the characters. I love the surprises!
There honestly isn't anything that I don't like about this book. Everything comes together perfectly! I am mildly disappointed that the author will be taking some time away from this series, but I understand the reasons why and I simply appreciate knowing this fact. As the author managed to claim me as a fan with her second book, you can bet that I will be diligently sticking around patiently waiting for her next work whenever she is able to write it.
I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. If you like snarky, witty, strong female characters and have loved the previous books in the Shadow Vampire series then grab this book, clear your schedule and settle in! You'll love it. If you're looking for a new vampire series to dive into and willing to wait for more...then go grab the first book and have yourself a delightful little feast. This is a series that I highly recommend. I look forward to future works from this author! Thank you for the enjoyment thus far.

This is the 4th book to the Shadow Vampire series and I absolutely loved it. Claire is back yay the Fairy king has threatened Claire to go and find his beloved daughter because she has gone missing, that doesn’t sit well with Claire because it’s her best friend that has gone missing and she will do everything possible to bring her back the king could of just asked instead of threatening her. That’s all I’m going to give so read Alex’s blurb and that will give you the gist to this story, there is so much more to this story there’s danger, excitement, suspense, surprises, sexy scenes and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. I love this whole series but be warned there’s a cliffhanger but I don’t mind because then I know that there will be another book coming, if you have read books 1 - 3 then your in for a treat with this one. A 5 plus +++++ ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

What a fabulous series this turned out to be. From the first line to the last, I was hooked and left for wanting more. This was not like any of the other supernatural reads I'm usually accumstomed to, Claire's world was a bit different than I was expecting. However, I loved every dirty (and boy was it dirty) little minute of it. What I loved most about the whole series, was that finally the heroine does not have to choose between her loves :) I ploughed through the entire series in about 2 weeks and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good read. Going into the fourth book, I was a bit sad at the potential ending of this great series, but upon reading the aftermath, I was pleased to learn that the author does indeed plan to continue Claire's story. So I guess I will just have to wait patiently for them to hurry up and write it.

Alex Owens fourth and what was to be last book in the series leave you begging for me. Thank goodness Alex 's has stated that the series will continue, but after she completes a few other projects. I pray those projects to fast, because our leading heroine has got herself tangled in yet the arms of another liver and we are left with her following him to a dimension that may take her away from her daughter and her two lovers. I don't think Clive will just let her disappear without tearing the world apart inch by inch until he finds her. To say this book brought twist, turns, and heated romance would be an understatement. If you are reading this Alex, please don't leave me in agony too long for book 5.

First let me state, I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
This is the fourth book, and possibly the last, & it saddens me. I've come to love Claire, Bette, Clive, Quinn, Cass, and many others throughout these stories. I loved this story except for one thing, what happens to Claire? Hopefully there'll be more someday. Alex Owens truly knows how to weave a story and keep you enthralled. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up.

Wow - Owen’s is a master of twists and turns
I was deeply invested in Claire’s journey, she discovered her sexuality, conquered some
bad creatures and excelled as a Mom. Always helpful she decides to help Bette her maker and visit her castle won by defeat. Meeting Cassidy’s father threw her for a loop but she got to Italy and found a mess. Now the supernaturals she was held prisoner by are her people and in her typical witch/vampire she has to save them all. Here’s to hoping there is more each book added a richness to the series.

I love this series. Something Bound is book 4 of Shadow Vampire series. It continues the series right where the last book ended and brings us some new characters. Trouble always follows Claire. She has an ex-husband and a teenage daughter. She travels to Italy to take care of two problems with one trip. She has a plan, but remember what they say about the best-laid plans... they always go to Hell in a hand-basket. Join Claire on her adventure thru Italy.

This book did not disappoint. Claire found herself side tracked by love and hormones all while trying to help Bette and fix the castle and the residents within. Little did she know that something lerked in the shadows waiting for her... Must read! But start with book one or you will miss the story build up!

Excellent Series
These books are the kind you just cannot put down. The characters, settings and plots keep you interested and are different than many other Vampire-related books. The books are excellent and I cannot wait for more!

I love this series! All the characters are so lovable even the grumpy ones. The storyline is action packed with a hot and steamy side. Hopefully it's not a too long of a wait for the next book.
