I’m in love with Ethan—my brother’s best friend—but for some reason, there’s a certain very annoying bad boy whose face keeps on popping up in my head.
Gage Harper is trouble, and I don’t need complications in my life. So why can’t I seem to stay away from him? It’s not like I’m attracted to him or anything. How could I be? He’s the exact opposite of what I want.
Ethan is the one, always has been…which is why I’m crushed when I find out he’s dating my best friend. But I refuse to accept it. I’ve come too far to let him slip through my fingers.
I’ll do anything to make Ethan realize I’m the girl for him—even if it means using Gage to stir a little jealousy. But once Gage agrees to play his part in this game of make-believe, lines start to blur, and the one thing I desperately tried to avoid happens…
And the drama continues. It’s a fun series, it really is but it’s definitely drama-filled. Carter is crushed when she realizes her crush is dating one of her best friends and then Gage steps in to help her out by pretending to date. Carter begins to realize everyone around her is keeping secrets and she may just have one herself as her feelings for Gage are changing. Side note: it is driving me nuts that the author always uses “it is” and never “it’s”. To me it come across as too formal for the style of the book and every time I come across it, it slows me down. My own craziness maybe.
Wow! This book is good! I couldn't put the first one down and the same with this one I'm hooked! Amy and Ethan! Luke and Macy! Now Carter and Gage! (Maybe!) 😉 I recommend this story cause its amazing! I'm ready for part 3! Sooooo good!!!😀
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel from the first page until the very last. It has been a very rare occurrence that I could just pick up a book and read it in one day; but, I was captivated by these characters and their amazing love story instantaneously.
