My luck’s never been the best when it comes to anything other than women. Hell, even women deal me a bad hand every now and then. Like the time I slept with my boss's wife. That was my last day of employment in Sin City. I’m Chasing Haring and if you ask my friends they’ll tell you I don’t have the best track record. Now that I’m back, I’m taking it in stride. I’ve got my tattoo shop. I’ve got the bar. And I’ve had damn near whatever woman I want in this small town. That means I want out of here for good. When a smiling redhead walks into the bar, I know I definitely haven’t had her. Kaydence. This town doesn’t create people like her. One sexy night in a haunted house is all it takes. And now we’re inseparable and thoughts of leaving for good become less appealing. She’s what I need in my life. Positive. Refreshing. Happy. Interest moves to lust and straight to love before anyone expects it. Before I even get to know any layer but the happy-go-lucky girl she lets everyone see. She’s refusing to let the negative world get to her. She’s also refusing to forget the saying 'everything happens for a reason'. That's why when I walk away, she watches me go without a blink of an eye. I’m good at a tantrum, especially when you rip up my heart like only she’s capable of doing. I’m bad at figuring out how to move on, especially when it’s Kaydence I have to move on from.
Wow! Just I am out of words because everything I wanted for MY man Chase, didn’t happen. But that’s okay because Piper Frost gave me something that far exceeded my mind.
Chase is the tattooed bad boy that we all fell in love with in Addict. And if you didn’t, well that’s fine because I claimed him long ago. #TeamChase bitches! Anyway, tattooed hottie. Not as much of a cowboy as Brandt and Bo, but still country enough to have the boots and hat. And that’s a sight I’d really, really like to see.
Kaydence. New to town. Trying her hand at dating the guys around town. Can I just say that I would have quit that shit the second my eyes landed on Chase and he showed any interest in me, but that’s not the point. I’m a sucker for those tattoos. I have a weakness!
So, what are the odds that happy, cheery, nothing ever gets her down Kaydence would be interested in broody, bad boy Chase? Well, the odds are in their favor. Which is good because nothing else is working for them. So, odds? Yes. Family, friends? Nope.
And Kaydence has her own special baggage. Despite the sunshine-y disposition, she’s a load of crazy that Chase never expected.
But will they overcome the family and friends who don’t think they can change? Can they change? Can Chase stop his playboy ways and settle with sweet Kay? Will Kay let anything get her down? Grab Tantrum and find out. But remember, Chase is mine.
Chase...Good thing Kaydence came along to save this man from himself. God these two have a drama filled journey through their love. I was not a fan of Chase's in the beginning, but after seeing how he is with Kaydence and reading their struggles, I can say that I don't hate him anymore. He soften for her, he became what she needed without losing who he really was. Kaydence has some baggage...a couple suitcases at least. I was surprised to see how Chase would handle all that. I think they are prefect for each other. He makes her lose control and she makes him nuts...LOL! Jk Jk...they both bring good and bad to the table. They are very compatible in the sex department. It's fiery, and sexy! They have a raw animal passion that is amazing to read about. #ChicksAreEvil #PumplinAle #Pumpkin #HauntedHouse #Cuddling #Tantrum #NotACowboy
The Bad Boy of the sleepy little town makes his return. It was killing me in Surge not to know what happened to Chase. You couldn't help but feel for the guy. It broke my heart but Bo and Kinslee were it. There was no room for the heartbroken bestie.
But Chase isn't caught up on Kinslee anymore. No. A certain smiling redhead has his attention and for once it isn't wavering. Chase has demons, grudges, and an attitude. But with a little help from his friends...oh wait, he doesn't have any! No. Okay, he has some but it isn't the same and neither is Chase. You'd best learn that now!
Everything Chase has done leads up to this moment. Whatever will be...was meant to be. Or some shit like that! Better reign in your emotions because bottling it up will only fuel your fire for this book!
I am so enjoying this Kenshaw Ranch Series! Loving how we still get more hear more about the other characters from the other books! Chase & Kaydence did not us down, it was a rollercoaster ride! These two are just too cute together, the tattoo badboy meets the sweet and endearing girl! Awesome ending! Up next is Tommy's story!
Cute and sweet, Tantrum is a great read to escape in. The classic bad boy meets good girl takes a unique spin with Kaydence and Chase making for a book that quickly hooks you. I can honestly say their story contains some twists I’ve definitely never seen before! With a romance that mixes both swoony sweetness and angst I was glued to the pages.
I adored Chase. Everything you picture when you think “bad boy” Chase is a tattoo artist by day, bartender by night, and full time player. At least until the insanely sweet Kaydence walks into the bar where he works. The attraction between these two is immediate and Kaydence’s adorable personality quickly has Chase stumbling right into love. I loved how sweet these two are together! Despite his past and outward appearances Chase is genuinely a good guy. He truly loves Kaydence and shows how much he does time and time again.
Kaydence is one of the sweetest characters I’ve ever read, but she’s definitely on the edge of extreme. A bit of a doormat, she constantly takes any and all forms of cruelty from nearly everyone. Her family, Chase’s friends, Chase’s former flings, you name it they dished it and she took it. The reasoning behind this seemed a bit far fetched for me, but it did make for a great “I did not expect that to be why” moment. Overall this was a fun read and I’m looking forward to more.
This was a good book. Although the hero is kind of a manwhore in the beginning of the book, as soon as Chase meets Kaydence, he is instantly smitten. I really like when a "bad boy" finds someone who he can really fall for. I also really liked Kaydence, too. She is always so positive and upbeat, but don't let that fool you. Their story is full of ups and downs, but all in all, this was a pretty good read.
I thought I was loving me some Bo, but I think I’m a huge Chase fan. To me, each book is getting better and better and so far, this is my favorite one. I loved Kaydence. I know she had her issues but I still loved her positivity and outlook on life, even when she was at her worst. These two were super hot together too. Had some bangin’ sexual chemistry going on. I’m moving on to the next one!
Tantrum presents us with Chase, a brooding and brewing combination. A combination that the authors absolutely knew how to reign in and give us an incredible third book in the Kenshaw Ranch series.
Chase has been the bad boy of the group from the beginning. He makes his rounds around town in every sense of the reference. He’s made mistakes, run from past demons and is making plans to move on from old friends and his small town. Until a flash of red and a ray of sunshine blinds him completely. This ball of fire is Chase’s redemption in my eyes.
Kaydence has secrets, dark secrets and her own band of demons that are ever present. But she’s decided that she will be happy and accept what life and Fate deem appropriate. But when she meets the sexy, tatted up Chase, she can’t help but lose control and she likes it. She wants the good feelings he inspires.
Chase’s reputation and Kaydence’s easy acceptance of what life hands her causes everyone concern. They are explosive together, they are good together but can each accept the other’s past and secrets. Will one run, will one fight, will outside forces take over?
This couple grabbed my soul. I rooted, I cried, I cursed and tried to make them understand what they needed to do lol. The supporting characters weaved in and out of this couple’s personal lives to the point of frustration, a dose of real life. The background for Kaydence was handled with perception and care. I truly applaud the storyline.
I voluntarily received this ARC. This is an honest, personal Review.
Tantrum is the latest offering in Piper Frost's wildly popular Kenshaw Ranch series. Books 1 and 2 chronicled the lives and eventual loves of Brandt (Addict) and Bo (Surge), both of whom play prominent roles in this book, but bad boy Chase is the star here. He has recently returned to his small, Texas hometown following scandal in Vegas. (How is a scandal even possible in Vegas?) Leave it to this bad boy to show us how, lol. Chase has eased back into his former life when he meets the mysterious Kaydence. He is thoroughly intrigued, spending more and more of his time with Kaydence to the point of reversing his "doesn't do relationship" status. Buuut, Kaydence has issues, remaining so good natured and cheerful about everything that I kinda wanted to bitch slap her for her nonchalance to the point of indifference over even disappointing events. The conflict in this book is much heavier than in the first two and the authors do an admirable job dealing with such a serious subject. The engaging storyline of the bad boy gone good/good girl embracing her emotional side, believable dialogue, and sex scenes so hot you just might need a BOB handy are signature Piper Frost! And for those readers, like me, who just can't get enough of these sexy, panty-melting cowboys of Kenshaw Ranch, those sassy girls introduced new characters that simply beg to have their stories told, ensuring that the legacy continues! I highly recommend this book and urge you to one-click immediately!!
We all know the kind of guy Chase is/was... womanizer, sleaze, not the kind of guy that sweet Kaydence should end up with, RIGHT??? Well, after reading this book, that is totally wrong. Kaydence is the sweet, happy go lucky girl and Chase is the bad boy who has come back to town. Sleeps around, tattoo artist, wants nothing to do with the small town ranch family that he has. But after meeting Kaydence, Chase kind of changes his tune... for the better thankfully. And, he is not the only one of the two that needed a little eye opener and a change in their life. Without giving away the story, Kaydence maybe is not as happy, all smiles, sickenly sweet as she likes to make people think. And, of course, there is a reason for that.... which you need to read the book to find out!! I really loved Chase in the end. He is a good man at heart, and Kaydence was just the right girl for him. I loved reading about all of the other characters again, and I am not sure if this is it for the series, but I think that there are many more books that can be written about all of the other characters.. Tyler, Tommy, Grant, Felder. Especially Felder! :) I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. I love that these two gals teamed up to write such fantastic novels! Thanks again for another great book!
Chase is back! I was pretty sad when he felt the need to move to catch a break. Usually these things happen for a reason. I don't think he ever saw himself having to come back to the small town though. After his stretch in Vegas, that may have ended slightly rough, he's come back to where he started. He meets Kaydence through a series of nights when she comes into the bar he works at. One thing leads to another, and after a series of unfortunate disaster dates for Kaydence, Chase thinks he could give it a shot. Who knew he'd be willing to change his stance on relationships for the right girl. Now hold on, it's not all sunshine and rainbows from here. There are things Kaydence isn't telling him. She's not the innocent you think she is. But that's what makes for a good story, right. You can't have it all be smooth sailing. I loved getting to know Chase in Tantrum and getting to see everyone from the former stories. Chase fights the "family" of friends he's surrounded by, but with Kaydence's encouragement he at least gives it a try. Things just aren't what they used to be. Chase is still the bad boy we love, he just has a different outlook now. As for Kaydence, I knew she had some kind of drama locked away. When it's unleashed, look out! I really enjoyed it all. As for the series, I hope this isn't the end of the Kenshaw Ranch group!
This is the third book in the Kenshaw Ranch series. Chase is a complicated character that has been in the first two books. Kaydence is a younger cousin in the Kenshaw family that has come to live on the ranch with her brother.
Chase is the most interesting of the KR men so far, he is a mess trying to straighten up and get a bit of normal in his life. I like him even when he's not entirely likable. He's picked out a good girl to help him with that. Kaydence is that girl. She has challenges in her life and she's not dealing with them in a healthy way. She is a sweet character but I had trouble with her going from docile girl to sexually aggressive in a moment when she is admittedly innocent prior to meeting Chase. Her brother is her roommate and her parent figure but he's interested in his own affairs and only seems to criticize her choices. His dialog toward the end of the book is conflicting and confusing. I didn't care much for him. I know we'll be seeing him again in another book, maybe he will explain himself.
The story is imaginative and weaves well into the existing KR verse. It introduces new characters that are important to past storylines and creates new ones, as well has giving depth to this story. I was entertained and invested. I enjoyed the interaction with other KR characters.
Finally Chase. Happy dance time. If you read Surge you know that Chase is searching for something to hold onto. He is lost and now he's back in town. In Tantrum we finally get a love interest in Kaydence for Chase. She may be a Kenshaw but that doesn't stop Chase any. I wanted to slap Brandt and Bo with how they treated their old friend. Seriously dudes were not cool. I love that Jo and Kinlee took him back into their circle and didn't care what happened in the past. I laughed out loud a few times throughout this one. I love Chase and his boys banter. I also had some very heart squeezing moments when it came down to Kaydence. But once you find out what Kaydence is hiding and going through hold onto your seats and enjoy the bumpy ride. I seriously love Chase in this one. He is so misunderstood in the other two books. I love his relationship with Kaydence. They are hot and sexy together. She just seems to be perfect for him even with her everything is rainbows and sunshine ways. There were multiple times I wished I was right there on the ranch with a bowl of popcorn watching it all go down. I need more and I have a feeling Piper Frost are going give us some more hot as heck cowboys. MUST READ BOOK!!!!! MUST READ SERIES!!! I COULDN'T PUT THIS DOWN....LOVING ME SOME COWBOYS!!!!
This book is the third book in Piper Frost’s Kenshaw Ranch series and it is such an amazing addition to this series. All of the books so far have given us great stories but this one hit on some harder issues but did it in a way that really just gave more to the story.
Chase is the towns bad boy with a trail of wanting women behind him. He tried to escape the small town life but was forced back when his playboy ways get him into trouble. Now his would focus is working and moving on, he has no plans on EVER settling down.
Kaydence is new in town and is looking to find a nice guys to have fun with. She has a history with picking duds and so far she is finding herself in the same position.
From the first moment they see each other in the bar, where Chase is working, they feel the connection. Neither is expecting all the ups and downs from that connection but they know they will never be the same after.
If you have not experienced life on the ranch yet, you are really missing out. This series is a great way to get lost in a book that will give you all the feels.
The third book in the Kenshaw Ranch series has been my favourite so far. Chase has always been the one who liked the one night stand kind of relationship but when he sees that red hair and green eyes staring back at him all bets are off. Kaydence has her own demons or so she has been led to believe and she has an outlook on life to choose to be happy. However her constant state of happiness and their friends not understanding the depths of the feelings that Chase and Kaydence have for each other might just be where it all falls apart. Tantrum is packed full of just that, along with misunderstandings, secrets and a love so strong that there will be no need for faking it until you make it. Their story will keep you intrigued and have you guessing as secrets from one of our other favourite couples might just start to come to light. This book will secure your trip to the Kenshaw Ranch and have you never wanting to leave. P.S. for all those of us who thought we needed more of Bo and Kinlee, Piper Frost answered our call with a short story surrounding them in the back of this book, believe me the wait for this addition was well worth it.
The Kenshaw Ranch series just keeps getting better. The quality of the characters in this series is just amazing. In Tantrum we get to look at the life of Chase, who was Kinlee's best friend in Book 2. Chase is a known womanizer, was known for his love of fighting in his younger years. After leaving town for a few years he is back and has opened up a tattoo shop in town as well as works part-time in the bar.
We meet Kaydence Kenshaw, a cousin who has moved to the ranch to teach riding lessons. Kayden is always happy. Never a harsh word for anyone and is famous for saying, "Everything happens for a reason". Kaydence is exactly what Chase needs in his life; a positive, happy person by his side.
There is some drama in this relationship and it ends up being caused by Kaydence's family. I do not want to spoil this as it is key to the story.
I really liked this book although I have to say their were some very sad moments in this book. It can be read as a stand alone although reading the entire series is highly recommended.
Oh Chase. I knew his story was going to be intense. He may have been a jerk in the last 2 books, but he has such a huge heart. Seeing him fall for Kaydence and her overcome her past and fall for him..... it was special. While Kay has deeper issues then Chase did, the author duo did an amazing job at balancing out both of their issues and POVs. Not only that but they made me love new secondary characters (who I demand get stories), answered (ish) unresolved questions that readers may have from Surge, and gave us looks at the characters from the first two books.
This book touched on some deep things when it comes to Kay, and I really felt they did such an amazing job and did the topics justice, but kept the story with a lighter feel. I really could go on and on about my love for Kenshaw ranch. It’s somewhere I wish was real because I would totally go there! Here’s to hoping (my fingers are heavily crossed) for more love stories in this series, or even a mini spin off series with Tommy and Grant. 5 stars #2OCCJD
Chase Haring is the tattooed bad boy we met in Addict and loved to hate in Surge. He's been in Vegas the last few years and now he's back home. Now it's his turn to find the woman to tame his wild ways. It turns out she's a Kenshaw.
Kadence is a fiery red head whose always happy and says everything happens for a reason. From the moment she first walks into Willie's bar, Chase is smitten.
Kaydence has gone through a lot in her life and is now working at her cousin Brandt's ranch and sharing a small house with her brother, Tyler. Her family is protective of her and doesn't think she should be with Chase.
I knew Chase's story would be amazing, but it was so much more. Kaydence was the perfect match for Chase. Both have been through a lot and deserved to find true love. Some surprises pop up too.
It was great catching up with the rest of the crew as well. Jo, Brandt, Kinlee and Bo have been up to quite a bit in the years Chase was gone.
At the end of Tantrum is a link to the Surge Epilogue. You must read Tantrum first because there are spoilers.
3.5 stars Lots of drama! I liked the characters, and enjoyed the plot, but I do have to say anything that could of happened did-and it was a bit too much for me. Chase saved the story for me-he was an extremely well developed character, and for me one of the best “bad guys” I’ve read. He was totally a magnet for trouble, but when itcame down to a special girl-he was ready to step away from the trouble. Kaydence was a different story for me-and at times I definitely wanted to shake her for laying down and taking it from just about anyone. It was hard to read, and I really just wanted her to find some kind of independence and voice. Much like in this author’s other stories, the supporting characters are well thought out and make great appearances during the story-something that I loved. I do have to say this series is super interesting, and a fun, sweet love story, so you should start with this author’s first book. It’s fun to see the circle of friends and how they are all intertwined. Very well thought out! - By Victoria
"I narrow my eyes at her before breaking away from whatever hold she's got on my. That laugh is beautiful..."
Holy hot tattooed bad boy turned good!! Chase has been on my mind since I started this series and I was wondering who the Authors would cook up to catch his eye. At first, I was like...nope, not going to work. But happily surprised, she also transformed into a perfect match by the end. Laying the groundwork for more stories to come, leaves me wanting more!! Chase and Kaydence truly made my angst factor go through the roof, yet I giggled maniacally at the surrounding cast of lovable characters that now feel like family. I thank the Authors for providing a copy to review!
"Pulling back, I look into his deep brown eyes. 'We'll never be right in the head, but that's why we're perfect together. Sweet and salty. Brooding and flighty. Crazy and crazier."
In this book we learn more about Chase, the young bad boy we met in book one, the complete arse we met in book two and now hot, tattooed ladies man has finally been tamed! I was not expecting that!
When happy go lucky Kaydence (Kay) comes to town to stay with her Uncle Garritt, she hits the dating scene. Chase spots her the moment she walks into his bar, and after witnessing a couple of Kay’s disastrous dates, he just can’t get that smile and red hair out of his head. She’s the perfect good girl for him, and just what he needs.
But Kay’s perma-smile isn’t all as it seems, her family have a past that she keeps from Chase, a history of mental illness and a reliance on happy pills.
So, with his past and her over protective friends and family they try to ruin the only true love Chase has ever felt.
I really hope this isn’t the last we see of the Kenshaw Ranch series!
Another emotional story from Piper Frost and the Kenshaw Ranch crew. Hang on to your hats for this one!
Chase is back in town, frustrated with how his life has taken a bad turn. He's settling back into the life he left behind, just waiting for the day he can escape the dull, dusty town of his youth. He thinks there's nothing that could hold him there, until a flame-hairex beauty walks into his bar. She's cute and funny, with a string of failed relationships. Chase soon realizes he wants to be the one to succeed in keeping her forever...but will he?
Tantrum has all the heartbreak you can handle, trust me on that. Kay has a lot of baggage and a past filled with pain. She's struggles day to day to keep the bright smile on her face. Chase is exactly the kind of guy she hoped for, but she has secrets she's not quite ready to share...will he still be around when she finally is?
I have to admit, after the last book in the series, I thought Chase was a bit of a dick, but he definitely redeemed himself in Tantrum.
A bit of a ladies man, Chase finds himself back in his hometown after his latest conquest ended in disaster. While working the bar, he finds himself drawn to the bubbly red head who frequents the place, often with a new man in tow. Kaydence, who has had a lot to deal with growing up, believes that everything happens for a reason. She slaps a smile on her face and carries on with her day.
Some people can’t leave the past alone. When Kaydence and Chase begin spending more time together, their pasts come back to haunt them. Will they fight for what they want?
You know. I’ve followed this from the beginning. Like legit. Wondering how. How is this going to turn out. They did it.
Chase is all man. From the tattoos to the bad boy attitude.
I wondered who, who was right for him? If not kinlee then who?! (Which by the way I’m happy she ended up where she did.)
Then her comes Kay. Omg does she rock and flip his world. You wonder what is going to happen when Chase finds out what is keeping her so happy and mellow. The love they have is amazing!! He even put on a cowboy hat for Pete’s sake come on. Hot!! Well maybe I think it is. Her being related to one of the KR boys, classic love it! Never seen it coming!!!
I love venturing to the Kenshaw Ranch and meeting new characters. It is written so perfectly you feel like you are there and apart of the group. Each character is flawed with real life problems that makes the story relatable to the reader. Not only do you get new characters, but you also get a glimpse into the lives of the others on the Ranch from the previous books. I loved Chase and his badass temperament and willingness to stick up for what's right. Kaydence was a bubbly, likeable girl battling to make the right choice and let things happen as they should. I highly recommend reading Tantrum after reading Addict and Surge! I look forward to reading more of the of the Kenshaw family.
Well the shut the front door these two authors have teamed together and created the 3rd book to this series complete standalone this time about our man chase the guy that was bff with kinlee but he didn’t want to be just friends so he packed up and left for Vegas for a few years now he’s back to our small town and a lot has changed including a girl name kaydace will she be the girl to turn our playboy into a one girl man. Lots of drama of course but I loved it and can’t wait to read more from these two they made me laugh and loved reading about jo and kinlee and bo and Brandt updates!
I was ready to throw my own Tantrum waiting for this story and WOW am I blown away. Chase is not the same man you met in Addict and Surge, he's grown so much. He's interested in Kaydence at first sight, yet he waits. When they do finally give into their feelings it is an explosive fast paced romance. No spoilers!-- But NOT the problems I would have expected which creates an even better read.
Fans of the series will love the hints and teases for the future and I doubt anyone will ever look at a haunted house the same way again!
This series just gets better and better. and this one is my favorite!!!!
Chase moves back to his tiny little hometown after his career is ruined in Vegas by his womanizing ways. But he meets his match with Kaydence.
Kaydence has moved to the Kenshaw Ranch. She is positive and upbeat and she meets Chase while he's tending the bar. When she ends up there for every bad date she then can't stop thinking about him.
But when they start dating, the males in the Kenshaw clan are against them at every turn.
But events take place that pulls these two apart. Can they overcome the obstacles?
Chase gets his story and what a story it was. It’s a bad boy meets good girl and falls hard but it’s not like the others. Kaydence’s is such a sweet character and when she meets Chase their chemistry is hot. Love how he is when she is in his presence, but when things seem too good to be true it gets emotional. This was an easy read with all the ingredients for an awesome story, but it doesn’t lack the heat factor and surely doesn’t disappoint.
