What do you do when you can't go home?

Cara and 15 other women are all that remain of the human population. Caged on an alien vessel, off to some backwater black market. Rescue comes in the form of another alien race that seized the traders' ship and want to help the females. Females are precious, due to their rarity, to the new race. The only hitch in this rescue is that when Cara sees her savior, she recognizes his species for what it is. The bugs were bad, but they were just cashing in on opportunity. These guys? Yeah, they destroyed Earth.

Spoilers ahead.
The plot is simple if repeated often: human female(s) captured, to be sold, then rescued by aliens that don't have (any/enough/fertile/insert scenario here) women. The problem is the execution of the story.
*The rescuing aliens don't look like the aliens that supposedly destroyed Earth. Lore is blue/brown/marble? The other guy is described as basically a shadow with white hair/eyes. Um?
*They learn language from a kiss? How is that remotely possible?
*Even if the strange language "download" worked, idioms and slang would go over his head.
*The other women are all on board to be mates. I get that their situation is dire, no planet and all. But to jump all in with barely a conversation with the crew? I'd want to know a bit more about the destination other than "you'd be precious" and "we need women". What happened to theirs?? Important info here.
*No culture clues other than dominant males and women hidden from view is given.
*What's this war about?
*Why was Cara in her own room instead of with the others at the time of rescue?
*If the rescuers had a treaty with the bug aliens, knowing about their nasty flesh sale habits, why the hostility and why did they board the ship to begin with? Are there no repercussions? As an ally, you'd think there would be.
*Were there males left behind on Earth? Were they just slaughtered as part of whatever war this is? Was it blown up after scavenging the females? It only described Earth as destroyed. So does that mean blown up, uninhabitable, or what? The details are more than vague here.
*The women discussed seeing the Earth destroyed. How? Porthole? Aliens taunted them with a recording? News program before the kaboom?
There are a lot of large plot holes. There's also a lot of typos and errors. For a short fluff read it isn't bad. But if this is to be the first of a series it needs a better foundation. There's potential, it just needs a few tweaks, some padding and a thorough editing. I'm leaving 3 stars for an interesting premise and an intriguing cliffhanger. Those 2 lost ones are for the typos, errors and plot holes.
