What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay there.

After a weekend celebrating her friend's upcoming nuptials, the last thing Meghan Crosby expected was to find out she got married while in Las Vegas. She knows firsthand how life can change in the blink of an eye, so she decided long ago marriage wasn’t for her. Unfortunately, drunk Meghan never got the memo.

Oliver Brooks knows it's going to be a struggle to convince his new wife to give their marriage a shot. The stubborn woman has stolen his heart and he has no idea how to get into hers. She's got walls of steel around her and she’s using them to push him away. Good thing he's never been one to back down from a challenge.

Speechless (Finding Love Book 3) by Paris Hansen
3 Accidental Stars
**Bonus: Kindle Unlimited**

description

I love this type of trope - Accidentally Married! This book was great, I read it in one day because I couldn't put it down. I really liked Meghan and Oliver.
This is a new-to-me author, and the first book I've read of hers. After I finished this one, I went back and read the first one Restless - Savannah and Gabriel's story. I didn't read book 2 yet Powerless - Finley and Liam's story, but it is for sure on my TBR Shelf! I will say this though, I found it hard to follow Speechless in the beginning, as none of the characters/places were really described because they were already introduced in the first book. So I wouldn't call this one a total stand-alone, as all the characters cross-over from the first book.

The last thing Meghan Crosby expected was to come back from Las Vegas married, especially to him. The one person she’d been doing her best to avoid. Meghan knows firsthand how life can change in the blink of an eye so she never planned on getting married. Too bad drunk Meghan had other plans.

Oliver Brooks knows it’s going to be a struggle to convince his new wife to give their marriage a shot. His stubborn wife has stolen his heart and he has no idea how to get into hers. She’s letting something stand in the way of their future and keeps pushing him away. Good thing he’s not one to back down from a challenge.

I think this was my mistake. I was expecting a surprise Vegas wedding followed by the groom trying to persuade the bride that they could make it work. Whereas what this seemed to be (from the admittedly small part I read) was two people desperately in love where the woman refused to get married. I just wasn't engaged with the characters or the plot.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Very emotional and full of angst - beautiful and heart-warming

Half way through the book I found it very emotional and full of angst not at all what I thought when I started reading. I was sitting at the edge of my chair and was waiting for the other shoe to drop. Had impression there's more drama waiting for me to discover. And I wasn't wrong. But I won't give anything away. I cried, I turned pages impatiently to finally get what's gonna happen next. The subject described in this book isn't easy but I have to say that author did very good job. I have first hand experience with people closest to me going through similar motions. It's not easy, it's not nice, it's ugly and depressing. Emotions here are very palpable and I can easily relate to what main characters and their friends are going through. What is beautiful and heart-warming is the fact that real love can conquer all. Beautiful, emotional story full of angst but also full of hope. Loved it!

When I read the plot line for this book, I was expecting a light-hearted romance that would be quick and easy to read. What I actually got, was something beautiful and heartbreaking and I completely devoured this book in one sitting. I couldn’t get enough!

It follows the story of Meghan Crosby, who ends up coming back from Las Vegas, married to the guy she tried so desperately not to fall for. She knows firsthand how life can change in the blink of the eye, so marriage was definitely never in the cards. However, Oliver Brooks is completely besotted with Meghan, and will do everything in his power to convince her to give their marriage a chance. Meghan is hiding something though, and whatever it is, it’s standing in the way of their future.

This is the first book I have read by Paris Hansen, and I have to say, I am pleasantly suprised. Her writing style is great and left me wanting more.

I absolutely adored Oliver. He was the perfect gentlemen and you could see quite clearly how much he loves Meghan. Yes at times, he may come across as a little overbearing, but it’s only because he cares for her and wants to protect her. He knows she went through a rough time a couple of years ago, and he wants to let her know that no matter what, he will always be there for her.

I struggled with Meghans character at times, but the more I understood the reasonings behind her decisions, the more I emphathised with her. I really enjoyed the interactions between her and Oliver. They truly are a great couple and the chemistry between them was insane.

I have to say, this book touches on some sensitive subjects, but I think Paris Hansen handled them incredibly well.

If I had one negative about this book, it’s that it wasn’t long enough. The book is only 279 pages, so at times, the story feels a little rushed. It could of done with an extra few chapters to add more depth to the storyline.

Whilst this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone, however I am definitely going to read the first two books in the series! I rate this book four out of five stars, and can’t wait to read more from this author! How have I not heard of her before?

Oliver Brooks has been trying to take his relationship with Meghan Crosby to the next level. However, Meghan's life experiences have made her a live in the now kind of woman, one who never intended on settling down. On the other hand, Oliver has every intention of doing just that. The question is whether or not he can win Meghan over before she shuts him out completely.

After a weekend in Vegas with friends, the very drunk couple end up getting married. This may just give Oliver the chance to win her over. He hatches a plan that Meghan, albeit a bit reluctantly, agrees to.

When approaching Speechless, I anticipated a light-hearted romance, instead, it quickly became heart-wrenching! Paris Hansen does a fantastic job with her characters and their angst. Although this is the third in the Finding Love series, it does quite well as a standalone. Even so, I already downloaded the first two and will go back and read them at another time.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Weapenry Co-op for this book to review.

This is the first book that I read from the series and from reading it we can see that Oliver and Meghan had already started their fling in one of the previous books. Although there is POV from both Oliver and Meghan I got the feeling it was all about Meghan. The story is emotionally and for me too much like drama, at first, we see a little wowing a little romance but more or less was for me just Meghan struggle with cancer. It also for me opened up questions like if she knew that there could be relapses why didn't she frozen her eggs for the future. And her stubbornness was also sad because she pushed people away from the one that cared about her. Oliver was ok, we could see his love toward Meghan from the start and he really did his best to show how much she meant to him. What I love in the book is that brings me smile on the face and that I can connect with the characters, this one just didn't do that for me.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly.

I don't feel like I can give this a rating because I skipped around a lot. Storyline wasn't what I thought it was going to be & unfortunately didn't hold my interest. This is book 3 in a series, and it seems like a lot of the "getting to know our characters" might happen in the earlier two books. This one starts off assuming you know all the characters already, so that was difficult for me. I think I would have enjoyed it eventually if I'd been able to connect with the characters. It does tackle some tough topics & seems to do so well. : )

The third book in the Finding Love series a well-written story that held my interest. Meghan Crosby and Oliver Brooks have a lot to overcome and most of it is to deal with Megan's health and the cancer she is fighting. Megan has to be able to see that no matter what life is precious and not always guaranteed and to be able to give the man she loves and married a chance to be in her life. Good story that I enjoyed reading. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the first book I have read in this series and while they are probably better to be read in order this can still be read as a standalone. This was a pretty emotional read and handled a what can be a tough subject for some really well it was a super read and I really enjoyed it but I did find that I did not care too much for Meghan and then I felt bad knowing she was sick. Overall a good book.

Although Speechless is book 3 in the Finding Love series, it can be read as a stand alone without feeling like you've missed out on anything. I have not read the first two, but after reading Meghan and Oliver's story, I will be going back and reading the first two. Emotional story line. Good read.

I have to say this book leaves me searching for words. It was okay. It was predictable. It was ...

As a person touched by the big C, I felt a tie to the experience but not to the words or characters. There isn't an emotional tie to either. I had a hard time not skimming the words.

Speechless has potential and I was intrigued by the blurb but I am sad to say it fell flat for me.
