Maureen Mary was born on 1945 at Port Macquarie, a popular seaside town on the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales, Australia, and is the youngest of four children. Her sister was the novelist Wendy Brennan (Emma Darcy). Her father was a country school teacher and brilliant sportsman. Her mother was a talented dressmaker. When Miranda was ten, her father was transferred to Gosford, another coastal town in the countryside, much closer to Sydney. After leaving her convent school, she briefly studied the cello before moving to Sydney, where she embraced the emerging world of computers. Her career as a programmer ended after she married, had three daughters and bought a small acreage in a semi-rural community. Following this, she attempted greyhound training, as well as horse and goat breeding, but was left dissatisfied.

Miranda yearned to find a creative career from which she could earn money. When her sister suggested writing romances, it seemed like a good idea. She could do it at home, and it might even be fun! It took a decade of trial and error before her first romance, After the Affair, was accepted and published. At that time, Miranda, her husband Tony, and her three daughters had moved back to the Central Coast, where they could enjoy the sun and the surf lifestyle once again. Not long into her writing career, Miranda committed herself to writing a six-book series entitled, The Hearts of Fire, with a deadline of just nine short months. Bravely, her husband left his executive position to stay home and support Miranda’s writing career. He learned to cook and to clean, two invaluable household skills. Numerous successful stories followed, each embodying Miranda’s trademark style: pacy and sexy rhythms; passionate, real-life characters; and enduring, memorable story lines. She has one credo when writing romances: Don’t bore the reader! Millions of fans world-wide agree she never does.

Miranda was the sister of the late author, Emma Darcy.

★★★★ 1/2 stars actually but I round up. This was an awesome story with a truly horrible title that doesn't really have anything to do with the book other than 2 sentences about a love-slave fantasy. But the story made up for it because it was different than most other HP stories out there and fantastically original. I do have to admit it took me a few chapters to connect with the story, but I was so intrigued with the storyline I kept reading and soon I was hooked and staying up late into the night to keep reading. I highly recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a romance novel that is different from the norm, or to anyone just looking for a good book.

The Millionaire’s Inexperienced Love Slave is the Miranda Lee’s 4th book in the Ruthless! series, and features two minor characters from her previous novel, Blackmailed into the Italian’s Bed: Adrian Palmer and Sharni Johnson. Five years after losing her husband, Ray, in an accident, Sharni Johnson has withdrawn from the world. When her sister, Janice sends her on a weekend package holiday of pampering in Sydney, no-one is more stunned than Sharni to see him walk into the café where she has stopped for a break. Of course, it isn’t him, but certainly his double. Adrian Palmer is immediately attracted to the pretty, young widow, but has vowed to stop being a workaholic womaniser, so it is hard to say which of them is the more surprised when they end up in bed together that night. This romance has plenty of seduction and sex, and a touch of intrigue as the reader wonders what the relationship between Adrian and Ray must be. With a rather melodramatic climax, this is not Lee’s best romance.

Seperated twins, one alpha, one beta. Guess who's got her motor running? Also her titles don't have much to do with the plot or relationship between the characters.

This is perhaps the most ridiculous titles that I've ever come across.
I enjoyed this short story about a widow finding love with a doppelganger of her first husband. I admit that this was an original story plot and I enjoyed the dialogue and the writing style.

Oh, book. :)

It was...very melodramatic. And had more than one "epic" plot point that made me crack up instead of cry. But its heart was in the right place.

Some titles just DEMAND to be read.

Don't let the title of the book fool you. This is a beautifully simple story of a woman learning to love again after the death of her husband. Well worth a read.

I skimmed the book. The title makes no sense. With ‘inexperienced’ I think of a virgin or virginal. She wasn’t that.

Before he met her, he hadn’t slept with his mistress for two weeks. Wow, two whole weeks.

I like it when a H pursues the h. This H didn’t have to pursue the h, she just spread her legs whenever and wherever. Nothing romantic.

Intriguing story

I am becoming a big fan of Miranda's writing. She has the ability to make a guy a sexy alpha but with a big heart. This story was different than the typical harlequin which I love. The sex scenes were hot and also unique. The only thing I didn't like is the title of the book which really cheapens it. Probably not the authors idea.

There aren’t many HPs that make me cry, but the last line of this one did.
As many have said already, the title is very inaccurate and based on one throwaway line about 75% in.
A really very sweet story.

A touching story. A whirlwind romance and a promise of the ever after. It has all the elements of the love story plot - the catch was having to do it all with the 'spitting image' of your late husband. Really weird but very nice. Love the scenes as always and particularly when Adrian confronted his mother about his biological parents and when the one-man dog who got depressed of his master's passing, suddenly burst to life when he see Adrian (his master's twin brother).

To add up, I love to note this quote: Mothers are forgiving people. Very true.
