I must admit I started the series with this one. I absolutely loved Joan and Eddy and their story. Now I am going to go back and read the rest of this series.
What an entertaining short story that is part of the Steele Ridge series! Enduring Love gives us a snapshot into Eddy and Joan Steele’s relationship. For those that have read the other books, this one answers the question of why Eddy has been a recluse for so many years and given up his family for the better part of 20 years. It’s a quick read and keeps you turning pages!
Reading this series has made me realize I want to be Joan Steele for my kids. She is one hard core mom who gives unconditional love to her family. She doesn’t let fear stop her from protecting her own, no matter the cost. She always stole the scenes in previous books and am so glad she has a story of her own.
We don’t know much about Eddy from the past books – just want his family mentioned or thought of him, so I was excited to read about him. My heart hurt for the family that missed out on him for so many years, yet it warmed when I learned the truth and how things ended. The beginning scene was absolutely priceless and I couldn’t have imagined a better story for Joan and Eddy. The authors nailed it with Enduring Love. Absolutely fantastic.
This is the 8th book (or the 7th, if you've not read Beginning) in the series.
Joan Steele has raised her brood of 6 kids mostly by herself. Now that they are grown, with their own lives, she wants what she should have had for the past twenty years.
Eddy Steele has stayed away from his family to protect them. But when a threat from his past threatens the future, he'll do everything he can to keep them safe.
From the hilarious motel scene in the beginning, I was sunk back into Steele Ridge. I love how tough Miss Joan is. She has to be my absolute favorite Heroine! And I think I've got seat belt burn from the wild ride in the MedMobile!!
OMG! What an intriguing story! Joan finally got her story told. She has been the rock of the Steele family because Eddy was trying to protect his family for the past two decades. I am glad to find out that Eddy was not a deadbeat dad as it seemed in all of the previous books. Once the threat was taken care of - without anyone being killed - Eddy was finally able to come home to the love of his life and his family. I am happy Joan and Eddy finally got their happily ever after. FANTASTIC job Kelsey and ladies! I would recommend this book.
I loved Joan and Eddy’s book. Finding out about Eddy’s past and why he stays away and lives in the cabin was so interesting and I honestly ended up so feeling for Eddy and as a result everyone else involved. I loved how after the suspense and danger they go through they choose one another and the decisions they make at the end. The Steele clan is always in fine form and that was no different in this book. Seeing my favourite characters was awesome!
Another Great Read in this series and an awesome end! I think everyone who reads this book will enjoy it! I am so glad to have come along for the ride! I hope to read updates on this family thru the spin-off that is sure to come! This is definitely a book/series that I will recommend to others!
I enjoyed this book as I did all the Steel Ridge stories. I thought it might be weird because it was their Mom but it wasn't really. Eddie & Joan's story answered a bunch of questions I'd had from previous books. Can't wait for the cousins - The Kingston crew.
Way to quick!! I enjoyed the story but I would have loved it more it it dove a little deeper into Joan & Eddy’s past. Also, Eddy’s relationship with his kids after they find out why he became a hermit. If you have read the whole series up until now then you will want to read this just to wrap it all up.
Joan and Eddy's story gave you the answers to so many unanswered questions from the other books. It also gave you a happy ending to there moms story and Eddy there dad was only trying to protect the family all these years. I would recommend this book to anyone.
This was a quick read full of emotion, discovery and love. The story line brings an important piece of information to the series. The characters are remarkable, have great interactions and will do whatever it takes to keep family safe. Loved it!
Really enjoyed this quick trip to Steele Ridge. Miss reading about this family where love, honor & truth reside. Along with of course a few twists along the way. Looking forward to the spin off series!!
Well I wasn’t expecting that to be the Steele’s daddy’s backstory at all. But I do love the idea of these two seniors having to sneak around to get a little something something without their kids finding out. Lol
You will find out why Jack Steele is the way he is. Not living with his wife and children throughout the years! Everything comes into place with this story. It was great, and pretty intense!
I so loved Joan’s story. Happy to get answers to why Eddy was a recluse for so many years. I really admire Joan for being the rock and back bone of the Steele family.
