Rate this book
A closely guarded secret, a stolen artifact, and a madman trying to open a portal to Hell. Can Oliver Webber become the hero he's meant to be?

Oliver Webber has a secret. In fact, his family have guarded this secret for generations. What he doesn't know is that the ancient evil that his family has guarded against is on the verge of being unleashed, and Oliver is the only person on Earth that can stop it. People everywhere are disappearing, an evil madman is dead-set on ripping apart the very fabric of our existence, and a demon possessed Civil War general seeking revenge set the Mississippi Delta on the edge of annihilation. Oliver, along with his girlfriend, his dog, and a crazy conspiracy nut, fight against time and a secret death cult to locate a stolen artifact that could unleash the power of Hell itself.

The Pandora Codex mixes elements of supernatural thriller, magical realism, time travel, alternate history, and urban fantasy with a coming of age tale everyone can connect with.

“When our seventh son of a seventh son is born, the battle of the ages will take place."

Thus starts the story of young Oliver and his life as The Chosen One.
My first read of Hank Garner and very happy to read the start of an exciting series. I was glued from the beginning, reading with anticipation for the next page, unraveling but by bit the intrigue and mystery behind the small town of Weston and Oliver.
This book was surprising and refreshing! It has most of the genres and sub genres combined in one! From action/adventure to fantasy, sci fy, time travel, magic... thrilling flashbacks of Oliver Webber’s family history. Powerful enemies, a great in depth of characters, profound dialogue, sarcastically funny other times...The action is just beginning! A high recommendation!

Firstly, it has been almost a year since I first read the book, so it was very refreshing to 'get stuck in' to this re-edited version.

The story revolves around a family with a special secret that's been passed down from generation to generation, set in the modern day & Civil War Deep South, along with ancient Mesopotamia.

Highly recommended....It's a well written & performed twisting and turning apocalyptic tale, with a touch of time-traveling to boot!

The great news is that the second book is now finished and ready for a very soon release!!

An interesting,confusing story

I tried to keep all of the characters straight and i tried to keep up with the plot, but i must admit it got confusing. The main character said "I don't understand" so many times making him sound stupid and redundant.

I have read better books and this seemed quite childlike, so I doubt I would read anymore of this series.
