Definitely weird, in a good way. I get that the interaction between the doctor and the parents is implausible. It's intentionally comedic, and it worked. The ending surprised me which was partly good news and partly bad news. I liked being surprised. The reason I was surprised is that it was, unfortunately, implausible to the point of unbuyability.
