It's been a long year for Eric Margrave, Professional Monster Hunter. After what can charitably be described as a terrible beating and the worst break-up of all time, his confidence is at an all-time low (and he doesn't have a lot going for him OTHER than confidence). Add to that an apprentice he doesn't want and a best friend who is both dead and overly pushy, and he's just plain ready to give up.

It's time for a vacation. Of course, when you're an adrenaline junkie and (let's be honest) a lil' bit of a sociopath, work can be a vacation. At least, when you take a step back and really try to remember why you used to love your job. Time to go back to basics.
