Better than the previous volumes, I think, but it's really the same formula that somehow has yet to grow old. I quite like Flatorte, and Beelzebub did show up quite a few times so... well, it could be that. I thought the undead story was kinda not my style, and Eno's story was kinda... I don't like imposter kinda stories, but I think it was quite okay. My favourite part was honestly the bonus chapter with Laika.

Another fun adventure with my favorite lazy over powered character. I find myself chuckling every time they meet a new character and just happens to look like a young women.

If you've enjoyed the other volumes in this cozy Isekai series, you'll love this one also.

Really, I pretty much know exactly what to expect from the entire series at this point, but heck, it's nice and relaxing, I'm into it.

For those of you keeping track, this volume is part of the anime's first season. About 2.5 episodes were made from this volume, and there is more you haven't seen yet!

One episode is when Falfa gets stuck in slime form. That is several chapters here, and I enjoyed reading them despite watching them already. The second major event, the Fake Witch of the Highlands. There is some detail here that the anime version didn't include. It was interesting to read that part.

There is more to this volume than that. There are stories which are not in the anime's first season. It's a shame, because I thought the Quest for the Undead storyline was interesting; funny but also poignant. Azusa meets a foil here, another human woman who wanted a slow life after becoming immortal. The difference is that this immortal is undead and a NEET.

Then there are the bonus stories. These are truly slice-of-life snippets of Azusa's household. Cute little fluffy things that are fun to read.

So once again I've Been Killing Slimes fails to impress. And that may be because I am/was expecting more out of it than it was ever going to give. As an isekai it is pretty awful. Truly. As a slice of life -- maybe not as bad as I was thinking. Because this certainly isn't plot driven and the characters get into the most absurd situations and the 'family' just keeps growing. Actually, that's more of what it is like -- 90's comics (Transformers, GI Joe) where every issue introduced a new character that was never developed and just kept going all to sell merchandise.

I haven't looked to see if there is any merch for this, but it just feels like every vignette (in two-chapter parts) is a wholly contained little adventure with just enough connective prose so you know that one precedes or follows another.

Verdict: If is so lacking in substance that even for a light novel it's fluff. If that's what you're looking for, have at it. I honestly hope in a few months I don't forget and pick up volume 4.

I was excited to get to this one but I think I'm realising that I like the idea of this manga series more than I actually like it. I like the art, they look cute on my bookshelf, I love the found family trope and it made me laugh a couple of times, but really, it's not giving anything else and has gotten old really quickly.

I love a cozy read but I'm just feeling pretty bored and I'm not sure I'll continue with this series unfortunately.

เล่มนี้มีความเรื่อยๆอยู่เป็นระยะๆนะคะ ถ้าเป็นคนที่หวังจะเห็นความบู๊ ตื่นเต้นเร้าใจ ก็น่าจะมีแค่พาร์ทที่ไปตามหาคุณบุทสุร่าเพื่อต่อสู้เพราะต้องการความช่วยเหลือให้ลูกสาวกลายร่างจากสไลม์กลับมาเป็นคนได้ หลังจากนั้นก็จะเอื่อยๆ แต่ความน่ารักของลูกสาวทั้งสองคน มังกรทั้งสองตัว คุณเอลฟ์สาวประธานบริษัทที่พร้อมทำธุรกิจตลอดเวลาและคุณผีโรซารีก็ยังมากจนล้นเหมือนเดิมค่ะ ถ้าบอกว่าในฐานะคนที่มีหลานสาวสามคนก็ต้องบอกว่าเข้าใจความรู้สึกของท่านแม่มดอาซึสะจริงๆค่ะ การค่อยๆมองดูเด็กๆเติบโตเนี่ย เป็นความสุขจริงๆนะ โดยเฉพาะเด็กๆที่น่ารักๆ มีความสุขจัง

When I first came to this world, I said I'd live a carefree, laidback life. Recently, I've been thinking about trading the R&R for quality time with my new family, but... Argh! First, Falfa gets stuck in her (admittedly adorable) slime form, then a witch cons me and gets me involved in a huge mess...! Why does this keep happening?!
