Jetsun Mila Shepa Dorje (Tibetan: རྗེ་བཙུན་མི་ལ་རས་པ, Wylie: Rje-btsun Mi-la-ras-pa), (c. 1052 – c. 1135 CE) is one of Tibet's most famous yogis and buddhas, and generally held—with his guru Marpa the Translator—to be the founder of the Kagyu school of Vajrayana Buddhism.

Me ha costado mucho leerlo por qué hay muchos términos y referencias que aún cuando ya las escuchaste en un lado y otro aquí viene la definición y pues hay que atender a lo que ahí se indica.

Grandes reflexiones e invitaciones para seguir con la práctica.

Este libro me llegó en su momento cuando estaba en mis años 15 a 18 más menos , no lo leí, ahora mismo ya pasados otros tantos lo tomé . Y ha sido una gran experiencia.

Inspiring read about Milarepa. One of the book that inspired me to learn more about Tibetan Buddhism. Milarepa's life is an inspiration for anyone determined on spiritual pursuit.

I have found the translation to be adequate. He did have some trouble with some passages because the original text may be corrupt or there are scholarly disputes as to the correct rendering. The translator includes a lot of technical notes about Tibetan culture and Buddhist practices. However, sometimes I expect a note and it is missing, or I expect an explanation or some other content that may help the reader appreciate the social and cultural context. The stories themselves are quite entertaining. No wonder it has such popularity among Tibetans.
