I hear voices. Loud. Incessant. And very real. Which basically gives me two options: choke back massive amounts of Prozac or write fiction. I chose the latter. Way cheaper. I've been writing since I discovered blank wall space and Crayolas. I seek to glorify God in all that I write...except for that graffiti phase I went through as a teenager. Oops. Did I say that out loud?

Can't wait to read more!

This free preview has left me wanting to read more of the excellent writing and 3 dimensional characters. The first page drew me in and I could hardly put it down Reminds me of Laura Frantz with the time period. I am truly curious and excited to learn more about what happens in this story. When you read a hundred books a year like I do finding one this captivating is a treasure! I will definitely search out the first books in the series.

The Captured BRIDE ( Free Preview) Daughters of the Mayflower-book 3

The story seems to be leading into a good book. But the preview stopped so suddenly, it left much to be desired. it should not have been a preview but a whole story. Just zs interest peaks because of the story, it abruptly ends. I only gave it a five star because it does seem to be leading into a great story. But I didn't pay any attention that it really was a preview and my disappointment was really great. I do not like a pre:iew of a book. Suppose you don't get the book, then time is wasted on any preview. Thanks but no thanks.

The Captured Bride had an interesting premise; however, I do not think the period supports the plotline.

Is Mercy Lytton English, or is she part Indian? She has an unusual job as a female scout. As part of her job, she unwillingly pretends to be married to Elias Dubois.

Four people transporting hidden gold in the wilderness, you've got to be kidding! Is the commander of the fort out of his drunken mind?

Great descriptive and action-packed plot. This sample writing of the story is a good beginning to what promises to be an entertaining tale.

If you enjoy the sample introduction to the tale, then buy the book. The sample is way too short!

Mercy Lytton

Really enjoyed the preview. Would have liked to have had more understanding of the family dynamics between Mercy and her parents. It left me feeling slightly confused. I think as I read the full book I will pick more of it up, but after 4 chapters I would like to be less confused about something that is continuously brought up. Otherwise very relaxing enjoyable read.

Action, adventure intrigue and romance!!!! The Captured Bride is fast paced and action packed with strong main characters, witty dialogue and plenty of plot twists to keep you turning the pages. The setting and history of America's frontier life was an added bonus. Special thanks to the author for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. I look forward to reading more from her in the future.

The characters capture the spirit of the time.

The wild of north New York is reflected through each, taking the reader into the story as one of the party. My attention was captured immediately.

Not drawn into the story

Opening did not catch my interest, and the rest was difficult to pay attention to. I cannot think of anyone to whom I would recommend this book to.
