Mayor Maggie Spencer is gearing up for reelection and can’t afford any distractions, especially when the town is gossiping about her recent break up to Griffin Stone. Their families are feuding, but there’s no avoiding Maggie’s ex when his family vineyard is host to an important fundraiser. The attraction between them is undeniable and Maggie can see how easy it would be to fall back into Griffin’s strong arms. Can she trust him to finally take a stand for their relationship?
Morgan Spencer will never be the perfect daughter, not like her sister Maggie. If she can’t do anything right, then she’s going to embrace the role of family delinquent. But when reformed bad boy Cole Maren tells her she doesn’t belong with her group of misfit friends, she begins to wonder if she belongs anywhere.
USA Today and Top 5 Amazon Bestselling author Michelle Major writes swoon-worthy stories full of heart, heat, and guaranteed happily-ever-afters. When she’s not dreaming up romance, you’ll find her hiking the trails (or avoiding housework) in her home state of Colorado.
An exciting installment to the Maggie & Griffin Trilogy! Just when you think things couldn't get any more complicated, they do! Ms. Major has created a complex cast of characters with delicious depth that you won't want to miss. Maggie and Griffin find their second chance but too many issues separate them to allow for an HEA...this time. Can't wait to see what happens in the next book in this wonderful trilogy!
The course of true love never runs smoothly and that is true for Griffin and Maggie. They have to deal with family strife, town gossip, unresolved father/son relationship, secrets, conflicting family businesses, and a hotly contested re-election. Then Griffin makes a bonehead move that has Maggie reconsidering her reconciliation with him. I was confused why Vivian was caught off guard about the expansion plans for the Harvest Vineyards when in Book 1-Chapter 11, Vivian expresses her concerns to Maggie regarding upcoming plans for the vineyard and Phase 2 which includes the farm-to-table restaurant and guest cottages. Yet everyone acts surprised and mad by this news in this book. Am I missing something.
Small town shenanigans! With the second book in the Maggie and Griffin trilogy, we get to see the fallout of the family tiff that came between the blossoming relationship of Maggie and Griffin. The story line is rich with strife as she battles the small town gossip tree to try to earn that re-election she's hoping for. We get a little insight into her extended family, and watch Griffin try to find his place in his family again. I'm enjoying getting a longer time spent with this couple, and can't wait to see what happens in the final book!
Mayor Maggie Spencer thought she was well on her way to entering into a new relationship with a guy that really saw the real her, but their feuding families managed to shoot it down before it even got started. She's been doing her best to steer clear of anywhere he might be, but Stonecreek is a small town and the time to see him again was eventually going to come.
Griffin Stone is putting the finishing touches on the new tasting room for his family's vineyard and then his reason for being home in Stonecreek will be over. Seeing Maggie again sends that same spark through him that she always has. He doesn't know if she'll agree to give him a second chance after the things he said about her sister, but he hopes with all of his heart that she will!
The Maggie and Griffin Trilogy just keeps getting better and better!
This is Book 2 in the Trilogy and I am more invested and attached to these characters then ever! I had so so much fun reading these books. They are filled with so much emotion and so much personality. Michelle Major weaves such an addictive story that you never want to leave.
Once I start a Michelle Major novel... I know I am in for a treat. I also know, I will not be able to put the story down until it is finished. I devoured this one! Per usual! Gah!! I need book 3!!! I NEED to know what happens!!
If you are looking for characters that feel like family and a book to make you smile... this is it!! MUST READ!!!
Second Chance in Stonecreek is book two of Michelle Major’s Maggie and Griffin trilogy. If you haven’t read the first book you will catch up, but it definitely makes the story richer. It reads more like a short women’s fiction novel as the story is not completely focused on Maggie and Griffin and falling in love. The secondary characters are well-developed; it was fun to see more of Morgan and Cole. I’m loving this out of the box series and can’t wait for the final chapter.
Is their second time the charm? Maggie and Griffin’s story continues....No matter how much mayor Maggie Spencer avoids bad boy Griffin Stone, there’s only so far to go in Stonecreek. Only so much she can deny an undeniable attraction. And only so many times she can relive their blazing night together. Their families are feuding, the gossip is threatening her reelection, but nothing can keep her away. Is it desire...or is it (gasp!) love?
does have second story of teenage angst/love if that interests you
Second Chance in Stonecreek. Maggie and Griffin decide that they are going to date again and not worry about what everyone in town thinks. She is running for mayor and he is trying to decide what he wants to do next. I like the conflict between family members in this book, Maggie's sister, brother, dad and grandmother, and the way they treat Maggie. Griffin gets called away at the end of the book and Maggie gets very mad at him. This book was very good.

Maggie and Griffin have everything going for them and against them. While Maggie is trying to get re elected as mayor, deal with a rebellious younger sister and an opponent with an ax to grind she has her hands full. Griffin doesn't exactly help by keeping secrets that cause a big misunderstanding with Maggie. Can their love survive? I sure hope so.
Enjoyed this book.... easy reading ... surprised on how the book ended a disappointed ... darn ... then realized the story continues in next last book in the triology of Maggie & Griffin : "A Stonecreek Christmas Reunion". Looking forward to reading it !!!
It's been four months since Griffin had blown up over the fire at the vineyard and ended things with Maggie before they had barely begun. The new wine tasting room is coming along nicely with Cole helping Griffin. Maggie is concentrating on the upcoming Mayoral election. Morgan seems to be straightening up her act on her own. Everyone is getting back to normal, in the surface. Both Griffin and Maggie are miserable and take steps to stay away from each other, even though deep down that is the last thing they really want. When Maggie is forced during a debate to spill the real reason she called off her wedding, Griffin is the one to stand up for her. Working on a hospital benefit, they gradually get closer again. When Maggie slips up and says those three words, I love you, and Griffin doesn't say them back, she's worried, but he shows her how much he cares, whether he says the words of not. Maggie and Griffin are all set to go together to get reunion dance, but he doesn't show up, no explanation, no calls after. So, we are left wondering what will happen next. Can Maggie give Griffin a third chance?
