This book, like the last one, focuses on another Rose and introduces us to them - unlike with the previous one, we had already known Rosa Gigantea, and so being introduced to her more and learning her backstory felt very natural. We know her and care about her already, so it was nice.
Hearing about how she used to be different, and of her love that didn’t end well... oof. I wish for her happiness in the future, and I look forward to getting to know her even better throughout the series.
The plot that led to finding out her backstory, about the autobiographical novel and its mysterious author... that was a lot of fun, too! Seeing Yumi and Yoshino off on this mystery with Rei roped in for the ride, complete with a fascinating reveal on the principal that will likely change the way we view her interactions with the characters in the future... it was a good subtle way to add dimension to the world, and it was honestly just a ton of fun.
Overall, this was a really great read, best one in the series so far.
