I am a sarcastic, sometimes foul-mouthed, not afraid to drink a beer, always southern woman with 2 of the most amazing teenage daughters,
a menagerie of animals and a voracious appetite for reading who recently decided to write the storied running through her brain. I read my first book, Dr Suess' Cat in The Hat by myself at 4 and was hooked.
I believe a good book along with shoes, makeup and purses will never let a girl down and that all heroes of all the books
I have ever read or will ever write pale in comparison to my daddy! I am a sucker for a happy ending and love some hot sweaty sex with a healthy dose of romance.
I am still working on my story but believe it will contain all of the above with as much SPICE as I can work into it. CHEERS!

I just love this series and these Dragon men. Kayne is son of Lugh the Sun God. Kayne is the one who always gives everyone static about love and mates and how it's not for him. Well I am so glad Kayne finally got his story and a mate. He got one that is as original as he is. Kayne is one of my favorite Dragon men because he is always so upbeat and cocky.
These books are all well written. All of these hunky Dragon men have their own unique personalities. This has a great story line with some steamy scenes. It's a great paranormal romance with a HEA.

Imagine Dragon puts reader’s imaginations to the test, it is so full of exciting events and fantastic characters that it kept my brain firing on all cylinders and glued to my seat throughout the entire book.  All the characters in the story are strong, compelling and very memorable but Kayne and Pearl’s electrifying chemistry and their snarky wit held me hostage and I couldn’t help but enjoy their story even as I was sitting on pins and needles during all the action. Their vibrant force of personality was quite inspiring and their passion burned as hot as the sun all while making me laugh with joy at their dialogue and their unorthodox courtship.

Anticipation and suspense builds throughout the story with lots of dangerous and thrilling events which ensured that there was never a dull moment. I have to tell you though that the story is very fast paced and you shouldn’t blink while reading it because you might miss some excitement, not that is really a problem because this story draws you in and refuses to let go.

This is the first book that I have read in the Dragon Guard series and it certainly won’t be the last as Julia mills has created a fascinating and exciting world to life with very intriguing characters and the world is so energetic and mixed with so much variety that focusing on any one character or event would be a tragedy because there is so much more, so I can’t wait to read the next book in this spirited series of course I will be catching up on the previous books while I wait.

Kayne knows who his mate is and has met her but nothing prepared him for this and boy is she a handful of feathers and sassy as hell and ready to kick his butt all at the same time. it also helps that you are the daughter of a goddess and your dragon is a demi-god, so let the fun begin with this pair.

I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book. This is a book from the Dragon Guard series but it also features 1 of the ladies from the Ladies of the Sky series who is Kaynes mate.

#32, but as new and fresh as #1!

I loved Kanye’s story! It was so jam packed with adventure, sexy fun times, and hilarious banter, that I just couldn’t put the book down!
A few things I didn’t like: I had a hard time in the beginning, since Kayne already knew his mate, apparently. I thought the pull to mate was strong, so I was a bit confused on that. Also, I feel like the females in this series have gotten... hypocritical? Mean? I’m not sure the right word, but the past two books, I have started out really disliking the mates because of their rudeness. They come across as emasculating, rude, and occasionally mean, instead of sassy and independent (as I know they’re intended to be).
THANKFULLY, as the Strix gets to know her dragon better, she becomes more likable, and I absolutely love the end product. As with all the other books, I’m impressed that it still seems new and fresh, and it’s so well written!

I love Kayne. He cracked me up in the other stories. I am glad he finally got his story. You don't have to read the other books in the series but, glad that I did because you can see and understand more of these characters.
Loved it!!

These dragon guardsmen make it easy to love them.
We finally get smart-alec Kayne’s story. He is the son of Lugh, the Sun God and is therefore a Demi God.
He is also the guardsmen who is always joking and giving the others a hard time about love and mates and how it's not for him.
Well, Kayne has apparently been keeping a big secret. He has known who his mate is for ages and has kept quiet.
Pearl was another wonderful heroine who is equal to Kayne in powers as her mother is Morrigan, the Dragon Guards Goddess
I do not understand how they have stayed away from each other for so long, knowing they were meant for each other.
A great mix of gods, Goddesses, mythology and likeable characters.
This is my honest review of this book.

Kayne finally meets his match. I mean mate lol.

This book was off the charts good. I loved Pearl and I love Kayne. As Kayne and the dragon guard get ready to save some of their brothers from a fate worse than death he finds his mate in the mix. Pearl is a demi God in her own right. When she goes to free the berserkers her mother made she finds her other half. A smart arse with a big mouth. What's a strix to do well bring him down a peg or two. These two are hilarious as they battle the evil that wants to destroy the world and save the berserkers. I absolutely loved this series. I can't wait for the next one.

Another fantastic addition to the Dragon Guard!

Kayne and Pearl are an awesome match with just the right amount of fun and the sassy, bossy attitude and sexy, stubborn pride of Demi-Gods. Julia has given us yet another fantastic story that let's us believe that the Good guys really can beat evil and that there really can be world rocking, earth shaking, soul shattering love out there... Even if it is just in our fantasy worlds. This book and YEP... the ENTIRE Dragon Guard series really is a must read if you need excitement, laughs and some sexy Dragon-men.

This is a longer book than the ones she wrote recently. Finally and I mean FINALLY that PIMA dragon/demi-God gets his mate! She is feisty! Strong and a take no shit kinda gal! I LOVED Pearl. I wanted to know so much more about Kayne and where he came from. I mean a son of a God ya know? We get more of his story and we see his Dad and everything is NOT what it seems. Got some surprises and we see more of Lady's of the Sky yay! Much loved and enjoyed so much!

The light in darkness

These two hard heads are absolutely perfect for one another. The both have parental issues though Pearl's have been around a little longer. Kayne is smart, he might be arrogant as all get out but he stays out of Pearl's way once she commits. They work well together and it will be fun catching up with them later.

Kayne is the son of a God and determined to help rescue the remaining Berserkers. Pearl is the daughter of a Goddess, the last of her kind and determined to help. They have known about each other for years, but now fate brings them together. Will Pearl let her walls down? Will Kayne learn the truth behind his mother's disappearance?

Just like the other Dragon Guard books, I LOVED THIS ONE! Was excited to see Kayne get his mate and was happy that she was just as special and the dragon. I like the fact that Pearl didn't just give in and was determined to help. Great read!

Awesome! Wow just wow!
What a great adventure and suspense, follow as Kayne finds his brotheren and knows who is his mate. But doesn't want to have a mate.,,,or does he?
Just a wild ride into a volcano where the obscured has his friends and his mate rushes in to rescue them but does she need rescuing too.
Love how Julia writes her characters come to life every turn of the page.

Pearl is something but she keeps Kayne on his toes lol.

This is a story of love, action, loss and reuion rolled into one. I love the back and forth with the characters. The sassiness just come right out of Pearl but Kayne can handle it.

Image Dragon

I love this series, there is just something about dragons.
There is plenty of drama, action and lots of dangerous situations.
A beautiful bird and a demi god Dragon, together they rescue their lost brothers.
They fight evil to get to where their brethren are. A great read 👍

Another good one

While I do not get how they could have stayed away from each other for so long, knowing they were meant for each other, I did like how easily that knowing made their relationship spark.
I like the blending of mythology.
I would have liked a little more detail on why his mom was a target and the entity itself.
And there were quite a few word errors, like mine instead of mind, pace instead of place.

REVIEW
This story has been a long time coming and oh my gosh it was so worth the wait.
We finally get our jokester Kayne' story and his beautiful mate Pearl. These two arent' your typicals as they have known about each other but chose to wait.
All our dragon men are there rooting him on and also jabbing back at him for all the times he jabbed at them.

However nothing is roses for this couple, they must battle yet again and it's one that will bring all kinds of skeletons out of the closet.

Grab your copy and read the excitement, passion, and action packed in this book. Loved it !!!

Pearl and Kayne are such a great power couple. Kanye is the son of Lugh, the Celtic God of Sun and one of the Guardsmen. They fought battles to save the berserkers who were captured by the Obscured. Pearl is the daughter of Morrigan, the Celtic Goddess. She is a sassy, strong, brave, smart and beautiful woman who belongs to the Ladies of the Sky. The story was well-written and I love reading books that deals with different Gods and Goddesses especially mythology. I love the banter between them and the way they tease each other is highly entertaining. They have a strong friendship with their friends and the way they continue to look for each other is sweet. I love how Kanye has some energy to make a joke despite how dangerous the situation is. Pearl and Kayne has a great chemistry and they complement each other perfectly. Overall, the book has a great plot, a surprise twist, and adventure filled journey as they acknowledge the mating bond destined by the universe.

Kanye is a powerful Dragon Guard as he is also the son of Lugh, the Celtic God of the Sun and he had always insisted he wouldn't find a mate but then he met Pearl who is a Strix and sassy enough to keep cocky Kanye in check. However, evil never stops especially when mates meet and it is up to them to eradicate the evil in the world as well as the maker of it. The question is can he make the right decision when it is needed and can they work together to sort this evil presence out?

I loved this story - it pulled together so much information about parentage, history current events, magic and also found some more guardsmen in boxes too. Well written and very enjoyable I was definitely addicted as I rushed to find out what happened net. Contains some sexual content.

Finally!

Not only is this book about Kayne finally getting his mate but, they also finally destroyed the black blob.

Kayne meets his mate in the same volcano that Uther went into to rescue his mate. But, this time Uther, Kayne & some of the others were there to find more of their lost brethren.

Pearl is the daughter of Morrigan the Celtic Goddess & she was in the volcano helping to keep Kayne’s brethren alive. Pearl is a Strix & she can fly too.

The volcano though holds more than Kayne’s brethren & the other thing in there is related to the black blob. But, to find out what happens next you’ll have to read the book.

The long awaited story of Kayne, the demi-god Dragon and his mate, Pearl, who is a powerful Strix and the last of her kind. The fireworks between these two strong and powerful characters is something to behold. Kayne has finally gotten his well deserved comeuppance! Must admit though, they are perfect for each other. Love their snarky wit. This one has it all - action, suspense, excitement, twists & turns, humor and hot & steamy sex. This series just keeps going and they keep getting better. Love this series and highly recommend this book and all of the others. Eagerly awaiting the next one.

I've read this series from the very beginning and have enjoyed each book in its own way.
I've been anticipating Kayne's story and I have to say, I loved it. It was definitely a wild and interesting ride from the first page to last. And I loved Kayne and Pearl together. Pearl was feisty and able to stand on her own but wasn't afraid to work with Kayne and the others when help was needed.
I can't wait for more from this series and from Ms. Mills.

While each story can be read as a stand-alone, for maximum enjoyment I recommend reading each book in order.

Goddess born mate for the Demi-God Dragon

I would heartily recommend this book to all who love great romantic shifter tales. Julia has once again written a great book featuring her beloved dragons. Kayne is a Demi-God dragon son the Celtic God Lugh and his mate Pearl is the daughter of the Goddess Morrigan and even though he has known who is mate is for ages Kayne has been avoiding doing anything about her till now. Readers should enjoy the way these two who the universe has deemed to be together are drawn into situations that only the two of them can fix.
