Rate this book
Welcome to Pomme Valley! Tag along with two adorable corgis – Sherlock and Watson – and their recently relocated owner, Zack, as they solve all manner of crimes in picturesque southwestern Oregon.

Struggling author Zachary Anderson has given up life in Phoenix, Arizona, as he learns he has inherited his own private winery in southwestern Oregon after his wife is tragically killed in an accident. Desiring a change of scenery, he packs up everything he owns and takes possession of his inheritance, only to realize that - surprisingly - life was much more relaxing back in the big city.

This boxed set includes the first three volumes in the series:

Case of the One-Eyed Tiger - When a shocking murder shatters the tranquility of a sleepy Oregon town, and a priceless sculpture turns up missing, all fingers soon start pointing at new resident Zachary Anderson.
Armed with a determination to clear his name, Zack sets out to solve the case with the help of a feisty canine companion with an uncanny ability to sniff out clues. With evidence mounting against him, can Zack identify the killer and locate the missing sculpture before he ends up in the doghouse?

Case of the Fleet-Footed Mummy - When a traveling Egyptian exhibit stops in picturesque Pomme Valley, all hell breaks loose after a valuable artifact is stolen and a dead body turns up in an unexpected location. The prime suspect has already been identified but there’s a catch: he’s over 3,000 years old. Pomme Valley’s newest crime fighting crusaders are on the case with Sherlock, new pack mate Watson, and their skeptical human, Zack. Can they solve the murder and locate the missing loot before any more misfortune can befall the town?

Case of the Holiday Hijinks - There’s a Grinch in Pomme Valley! Someone is stealing presents right from under the noses of unsuspecting home owners and leaving no trace of how they broke in. And, to make matters even more baffling, only presents are being stolen. Corgis Sherlock & Watson are on the case! Accompanied by Zack, their reluctant human, the unlikely trio must find out who’s responsible for the thefts and put a stop to it before anyone gets hurt.

Just had to keep reading.
Someone really knows corgies. I laughed out loud at some of the descriptions. I have seen these with my corgi. The flying squirrel is alive and well in the UK.
Seriously, good story telling, well written and with believable characters. More please, much more.

Book 1:

I don't read a whole lot of mysteries, but I do enjoy them from time to time. The voice of this one was a bit odd, as well as the narrator. But after a few hours, I grew to like it. The style is different, but fun. The dog was fun as well, though I mostly consider dogs that small to be footballs rather than dogs. I liked how the story unraveled, and how I wasn't able to guess the "who did it" until it was upon me. Very well done. I look forward to looking at the rest of this series.

Book 2:

Just as fun as the first book, except perhaps a bit more fun! I mean, who doesn't like mummies? This really is a true mystery that brings you back to your childhood where you escape with Scooby-Doo and gang, except now, you're an adult, but the adventures are just as fun! With lots of quirky humor, and a voice that gets you hooked, along with a fantastic audio book narration, you won't want to put this book down!

Book 3:

Another fantastic installment of this mystery series. I'm loving the corgis, the characters, and the overall story of this series. The voice is well done, as is the narration of the audio book. You can really get a sense of the character in this book, and you look forward to what he'll do and say next. And at times, you'd like to just smack him on the side of the head to tell him to listen to the darn corgis when they point something out to him!

This series is a great set of cozy mysteries that focus on Sherlock and Watson. No, not the British gents penned by Arthur Conan Doyle, but the cute Corgis owned by Zack Anderson. Zack moved to Pomme Valley (PV to the locals) after his wife died in a car crash. Why PV? He inherited a local winery so it was as good as choice as anywhere. Shortly after moving there, Zack was accused of murder. Luckily, he had adopted a rescue dog who had a penchant for locating clues, a cute corgi named Sherlock. Of course, when he adopted a second corgi, she had to be named Watson - yes, she!

The Corgi Case Files contain the first three books in the series. If you enjoy trying to solve mysteries, the antics of dogs, especially corgis, and the interesting workings of a small town, you will definitely enjoy these stories. Poole uses his quirky sense of humour and love of all things corgi to create an atmosphere of community as a background for an unusually high crime spree. It doesn’t take long for Sherlock’s and Watson’s Private Eye skills to become well known to PV residents.. Join Zack, the corgi’s and their “pack” while you discover what kind of of crimes fall under PVPD’s Corgi Case Files.

The 1st 3 books in the funny, cozy mystery series about Zack and his 2 Corgis, who help the local police solve crimes.

Great one liners, easy to read, well worth buying. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.....

Some editing errors but nothing the spoil the storyline.
