Rate this book

Magda has escaped the bloodshed and endless strife of her magical homelands, taking refuge once more in the mortal world. Or so she thought. She’s struggling to find peace in exile. While she knows she has no one but herself to blame, the loss of her Princes torments her. Nonetheless, she’s determined to forget them and move on with her life.

But when mercenaries kidnap her cousin and she’s forced to return to Alfheim to save him.

To gain his freedom, she must complete the most impossible of tasks for the god Eris—win the Crown. And that’s not all . . . The stakes are greater than Eris lets on.

The god has a trick up its sleeve that will give Magda a chance to love her Princes again . . . if she can rescue one from a prison of his own making and convince the other to give up his Throne.

This time, Magda must be both the rebel and the Radiant. And neither can fail, or the world will crumble.

The epic conclusion to the most fantastical of romantic adventures!

What do you do when you’ve written a love triangle with two perfectly good and different guys that the heroine (and reader) can’t pick from?

Have the heroine make a deal with a god and be split into two different people. So the harsh Rae part of Magda in love with Endreas is one person, while the human loving Magda in love with Kaelean is another person. And everyone gets their happy ever after.

I can’t say I saw it coming.

The biggest problem i have with this book is there are too many side characters all over the place..... Some i remembered some i was like Who??? And so many different objects and stories within stories going on its all one big jumbled mess.

Endreas is the most interesting character in my opinion throughout... Although some choices in this made no sense.... To give you an overview of the book would be like trying to give you directions in the labyrinth... Half the time i diddnt know what was going on or why, and although the ending was fortunately a HEA, it was anticlimatic and left me thinking... ok is that it?

The chemistry and love triangle was good, i wasn't overly keen on Magda, that ruined the book for me a little, also i feel that the series didn't need book two, it was almost pointless, it would have got alot higher score from me if the story centered around vying for the crown Eris and the princes... all the other stuff was just fluff.

And the way Magda defeats her cousin in one paragraph (why did she never just do that to begin with if it was possible?)

I don't know..... The love aspect kept me gripped the rest... I did not care for.

This book was very good, definitely worth reading & to finish the series, but I felt it was not quite as well written as book 1 & 2. The flow was not as good as the first 2. There were some places in the plot that were a bit confusing or made no sense, & there were much more editing issues than the other 2 books. The ending was decent, but felt rushed, as well as just sorta bleh, almost to easy with Endreas‘ situation at the end. I feel a tad let down, I just wanted a little more, maybe a little epilogue to show an HEA for Daystar Magda & Kaelan instead of her hovering over his passed out form, not knowing what he feels at that point. I felt sadness for them too, cause it seemed like Endreas & Radiant Magda (or whatever her title) got to keep all their friends, family, critters, magic world etc, but Daystar Magda & Kaelan just had each other in the end.

Good reading

Fairly well written, although the last in the trilogy could have used another roof reading. The characters are diverse and appealing, and it’s fun seeing how their personalities develop in the course of the story. The plot is not totally obvious, and sufficiently complicated to keep me turning pages. You do need to read all three; stopping after the first book leaves you with an unfinished feeling.

Good but not like book 1

Well this book was also not as good as the first book. Felt rushed and lacking, some areas felt they needed detail. I also could not get into concept of being two instead of one when being whole is what makes a person who they are. I feel the ending was rushed and how part of one has to leave when throughout the first two books she loved her home. Plus she is the true Queen and why could she not have both of her princes?
