A lovely story of love, family, and culture. One of the best parts of this book are its beautiful drawings with unexpected details - kids will love seeing the antics that the mice are getting up to on the margins of some of the pages!

Theytus Books is a an award winning indigenous publisher. My recommendation is to seek out books they publish. This book, an intergenerational story between grandfather (Meshom) and granddaughter is filled with love and Ojibway cultural wisdom. Created by an indigenous writer and illustrator team and peppered with Ojibway language this is a perfect book for a child.
