I can see this becoming a very exciting and intricate series. I really enjoyed this first book. I liked the shifting perspectives and thought the author wrote very relatable characters. I really liked how the ‘villain’ of the story has a lot of secrets we aren’t privy to. It keeps that intriguing factor and makes me want to keep reading. Gavin is another character that I am interested in reading more about, there’s much more to him than meets the eye. As for the pacing of the story, there were a few points it slowed down for me, but about half way through the story it picked back up and continued pretty fast paced from then on. I look forward to reading the next book!

Division is the first book in the Ballistic Mech series.

I voluntarily received and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Just finished reviewing a book I picked up two years ago. This author is looking for one after 10 days, I have 2100 books in my Kindle App. Just couldn’t get into this novel described as a Post-Apocalyptic Survival Thriller. Like too many in this genre people get shot up in the same manner as figures on a screen would be in a video game. And the text gets into so much minutia that it makes the storyline drag on and on. Alien invasion stories seem to be as popular these days as vampire/werewolf/zombies. Guess I’ve had my fill. If this is your cup of tea the editing and writing is good, if a bit verbose like my reviews.

Basically all setup for the series, but there wasn't anything in particular that grabbed me about it.
